WHAT A LINE-UP!
The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Is back, and it’s about to go head-to-head against a BMW M5 and BMW M4 xDrive!
It sounds like a pretty one-sided race, right? Well guess again… Both the BMWs have been heavily modified, and we think they will give the Bugatti a real run for its money!
So let’s see how the three compare. Starting with the Bugatti, it’s powered by an incredible 8-litre quad-turbo W16 that pumps out 1,600hp and 1,600Nm of torque. It sends power to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,995kg. There have only been 30 ever built, so as a result, it’s pretty expensive, costing around £4,000,000!!
Then we have the BMW M4. It’s the xDrive edition, so power is sent to all four wheels. It’s housing a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six under the bonnet, which would usually produce 510hp and 650Nm of torque. However, this particular M4 produces SO much more… 1,000hp and 1,000Nm!
Then finally we have the BMW M5. It’s packing a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet, but just like with the M4, it’s been tuned. So whereas the M5 would usually produce 625hp and 750Nm, it now puts down an eye-watering 1,000hp and 1,200Nm!!

First he was in sports+ mode when they were in auto, the second race was the real race but the bugatti wasn't in the lowest gear which is 1st gear, otherwise give me that chiron and bring that m4 you'll get smacked in a way you never taught possible

Finally a race I am seeing after a way too long time which is worthy and has equal competitors,I am impressed to the core😌😌everyone truly hail bmw for creating the m series,those are spectacular 🤗🤗specially the way they kept making it better for every variant,it's very difficult to make everything better than before but they did that with m series quite fast and quite easily,so that's awesome 😎😎

Actually the fastest M5 runs 1/4 n 8.5s not sure what's going with the M5 in this video. I've heard launching the M5 is a hit or miss. If you don't upgrade heat exchange and cooler, you have no chance.

Sam always has the advantage in the brake tests because he's downshifting, and I also suspect he might be keeping be doing some "throttle trickery" in the comfort mode rolling races to be fair
I have 0 interest in modifying the engine of our bmw 3-series, but that Mint or Dk Green paint job is so much cooler than Titanium.

That M5 and M4 are nuts. Way down on power compared to the Chiron but still managed to put up a good fight. The M4, especially in the rolling races was super impressive. I think you should put them both against the Plaid and the SF90. That would be a very interesting race. And that Chiron is magnificent, as it always has been

@@user-re8nw4ph5yI thought the weight difference wasn't that significant between the three. The M5 actually weights as much as the Chiron. I believe 1865kg is a dry weight figure. And even when you take the power to weight ratio figures, there is still a huge difference between the Chiron and the Beemers. 802hp/ton for the Chiron, 536hp/ton for the M5 and 561hp/ton for the M4 which is a quite significant difference

No M4s unless one has 35k to spend on mods will be that quick though but again who cares when you got a sick looking new shape M4. BMs are sick cars hands down for the money 💰. This race proves BMs engines (although they may not always win) can be tuned to atleast compete with hyper cars.

What I’ve notice as well with the brake test is that usually at a higher speed, with the Chiron, the air brake is deployed to help slow the car down and it looks like it isn’t activated during these brake tests which may be the reason why it isn’t stopping as well as it could?

Yeah if they were going at a faster speed the Chiron would probably win
Even if it was activated, it wouldn't have made it stop any faster. It still would have lost. Sam explained it perfectly why it didn't stop as quick and it's because carbon ceramic brakes need to be warm to start showing any significant braking over steel rotors.
