For the record, I've fixed many of these things since the making of this video. Some people get insulted because some things were broken, lol. Thanks for watching!
Hahaha you got that right! Thankfully i've fixed a couple of issues. In the last year, I had a couple of rough days with the car lol, slowly and surely I'll get it back to how it was
leonelobbed lol I feel you man, its no fun when the repairs start piling up.. Havent had almost any issues with my 04 RSX tho. Only time it left me stranded was when the clutch slave cylinder gave out, but I shoulda noticed when it lost responsiveness. The rest is really just maintenance. Personally I think its an ideal first car
Robert Balmer yep that also went bad on my car, mainly because I have a stage 4 clutch. RSX dont give any problems as long as you dont extensively modify them, like any car really. Thats why mine has some issues... lol
@@whocares5188 the clutch wouldn't engage until I pushed the pedal further than normal and the pedal would sometimes get stuck pushed in close to the floor. The Slave cylinder cracked and the fluid leaked out causing it to lose pressure and eventually stop engaging the clutch when the pedal was pushed. If yours is getting touchy have someone take a look at it sooner rather than later, it's no fun losing your clutch in the middle of traffic!
Dude... Every car's rotors rust when it sits, including my brand new Brembo blanks on my RSX.. It's steel with no coating or paint of any kind, of course it's going to rust. After a short drive to the grocery store with stopping and going, the friction between the brake and the rotor will remove the rust. You should know something as simple as that. Come on now.
Mihail Bebrovski Yes you are correct, I get what your saying, BUT what Im saying is that my rotors are cheap pep boys rotors and the rust excessively. Even after I drive my car a lot of rust is still on the rotor, thats what i hate
A rotor is a rotor, not much difference between manufacturers, there are specially coated ones out there but they cost extra, and I'm not sure how long they last. Nice RSX though, it needs work but looks good to me overall =]
The car enthusiast scene can be so fucking toxic, I swear. I myself, having an RSX I’m currently building and using as a daily, know the millions of problems you come across that fuck up the progress, visual aspects etc. You get nothing but respect from me for the work you’ve put on that car.
Thank you so much man. You're definitely right. The car scene can sometimes just be incredible toxic. Ive gotten a lot of hate on the video, but the truth is that dailying this car, being a full time student, and working on the side doesn't leave much room to fix all the things at once. The video itself is pretty old and a lot of things have been fixed. Thank you for the support truly means a lot.
Never noticed any of the exterior problems until you zoomed in on it haha And to be honest, I have a lot of things that I dislike about my rsx as well. Clutch master is gone, need new fender liners, blown coilovers, 4 broken sway end links, o2 sensor, *RUST* (I live in Canada so basically all our cars rust like crazy), hatch dampeners blown, broken driver window and I could keep going on. A lot of the stuff is simply regular maintenance for an old car Good luck on repairing everything!
TheMasterARK wow, its good to know I'm not alone in this RSX luck. Haha. And yeah from far away to cant tell my car has all these problems but not only are they there, it's extremely annoying. And man being from Canada I guess your cars tend to get rust right? Snow and all that stuff probably damages the car.
Oh yeah. I've only come across a handful of RSX's that have no rust, that too, they were garage kept every year in winter so they were never exposed. Otherwise every one of them are rusted lol
Well, I wouldn't call it neglect if I don't have the money to fix it, I'm a full time student, and well don't really have too much free time. But honestly yes, there are some things I hate that I did to my car, but well too late now lol
Diecast LP640 hi thanks!! well as I've said in previous videos, in PR cars are a bit more expensive. I paid 15k for it almost 4 years ago and it had 88k miles. As for my investment in parts around 11k+
soccer boii hey bro! I bought the car with the emblems, however I have removed the front one a couple times. You have to remove all the tabs or clips from the front grill and then you'll see 2 screws that hold in place the emblem itself. As for the rear one I'm not entirely sure :(
I hope you have fixed that power steering pump by now man, if not then you can get a used one for less than $50 from a wrecking yard. I just got mine yesterday and it was easy to change as any bolt on part.
Damn bro aside from #10 all the things you hate are the same with me lol. I was so sick of my front bumper popping off I bought stock type s suspension (I got a base that had lowering springs) and put replace it that lol.
i have had my rsx for almost 4 years now the only thing i had to replace is the brakes starter, batery, and had the seats repaired and i will ned o replace the trunk actuator, other than that it its ben awsome but then again i havent even put 20k miles on it yet. what mechanical/electronic parts did you have to fix over the years?
Daniel Huebner Ive had to repair a couple of things actually. Including 3rd gear replacement, new valves cause I had a bent one, I decided to build the head, had to replace clutch master cylinder and slave, had to replace the radiator, had to replace rotors twice, had some broken suspension components so I installed coilovers, had to install new clutch, installed Competition Clutch stage 4 and some other minor stuff, but car's running good now. It mostly due to the fact that I drive it so much. Almost 45k miles in 3 years
My rsx master cylinder just broke I think my clutch is really soft I put fluid in cylinder but still feels weird can someone confirm it’s my master cylinder before I added fluid the clutch pedal would sink to floor not do anything not spring back after I added fluid it is working but not properly and it doesn’t grab good anymore
A lot of the things you hate about your car are things you either broke or are things that naturally ware out on any car. You bought the wrong brakes, they make brakes that are nickle plated and don't rust. I've had mine for well over 14 yrs and still runs great.
Domino Dowdy so who told you I buy cheap products? I believe the point of doing this type of video is including things that are broken or that have wear on them.
Jeez. Salty. It's his car. He can do what he wants. I personally wouldn't do it because it's not a type r. But I think what he's going for is more of a replica type thing. And I respect that.
leonelobbed honestly you don't need it tho, mine is working but I still disabled it in ktuner. As long as you use good gas and your tune is good you won't get any knock.
Hey thanks for commenting. When I bought the car the seats were a little worn and some parts of the front were torn so maybe the original owner didn't take much care of them. When I got the car I tried to take the best care of them as I could but they ended up like this. Im planning on getting some aftermarket ones pretty soon. Thanks for commenting though haha
hey thanks for the story dude. i needed to know lol 13 years with mine and the only issue i have is the passenger sides leather is untucking out of the plastic in a corner! soon though red RECAROS!
The word "hate" is way over rated. Stop it. It's repulsive. And what you speak of is everything "yeah" and explaining. Don't explain. Finally, everything you speak of have less to do with the car and more to do with accountability. You love your car? All your problems stem from prior owner issues. I'm 62 and own an unadulterated 2002 S type extra clean low miles with no mods and 110k mi. I'm so happy.. keep the faith my friend.
You are crazy, you just put the hood and do a little bit push down and will close. And thought that my rsx was in really bad condition, but now that i see yours, i think is kind of okay jajaja. but the knock sensor is not expensive at all, i had the same problem and is better to have this ok, because the car is not okay with the valving time and obviously doesn't have the proper power engine.
You didnt keep up on maintenance, the mounts are too stiff, thats your fault, the rust on your nrg wheel shows how shit that company is, you knock sensor is cheap to fix. Fix it, any fkn old car will fall apart if not taken care of. Good luck and save money. Lucky you dont own a 20 yr old euro not kept up...way more expensive.
Its broke down 13 times cuz you take shitty care of it and put mods on your car that your engine cant handle. If it was stock it wouldnt have broke down once smh.
Jordan Rapae you are right. Like i said in the video, many things that were wrong with it was because of modifications. RSX are great cars, I know I love mine. I fixed everything that was wrong with and its been treating me great. If you see the title of the video, it says, 10 things i hate about MY RSX not RSXs in general, so I was talking about my specific case. I also did a video on the 10 things I love about my RSX. I was thinking the samething. I remember when I lived on the gulf my rotors used to rust a lot, but one drive would have them looking good again.
@@leonelobbed dont sell it these cars will be very hard to find within the next 10 years
Disk brakes are cast iron. They rust in mere days. thst goes away when you drive it.
Caleb Starr I bet it was raining over there or has humidity. They always do that, it’s completely normal

damn and I thought my rsx was bad lol hope you get it fixed and running soon. looks pretty good just needs some tlc
I fixed my actuators, it's an easy fix and you can buy them cheap on eBay. I think total spent was $30 for all 3
Im gonna jump on that then, thanks
This seems like 10 Things that I hate I did to my car, Neglect is the number one reason why cars break down.

That fucking bumper/wheelwell "connection" tho! Grrrrrrrrr

Diecast LP640 hi thanks!! well as I've said in previous videos, in PR cars are a bit more expensive. I paid 15k for it almost 4 years ago and it had 88k miles. As for my investment in parts around 11k+
some of the things are simple repairs. RSX parts seem to be low end expensive $/$$/$$$ on a price range. definitely worth fixing the locks first.
I have the same problem with the hood. It has weak metal. But get NRG seats for your car.
I have a 03 RSX and mine is no where near as fucked up as yours. You don't take care of your car but I like the rims
Juan Gonzalez lol, its a very old video. I have fixed almost everything, trust me I take care of my car, especially its engine 😏
