Question why when I was watching your video it showed in the sound panel that it was picking it up but when I would talk only a little would come out and that makes me too quiet plzzz help
I think they got rid of Recording devices under the volume thing. It doesnt show up for me
GO TO CONTROL PANEL AND SELECT HARDWARE AND SOUND
They just put it somewhere else. When u click the sound thing on the bottom right of the desktop, press open sound settings. When it opens up the panel, look on the right side. You'll find something that says "Sound Control Panel"
@@Roasti Late to the party but you can also just search for mmsys.cpl in the search bar. Microsoft really just keeps making their UI worse and worse...

can any of yall help me with a problem i got? Whenever i go to properties on my mic it shows the boost thing at 0 but it wont let me move it up at all
Windows10 makes it very difficult to access these settings now, you not always get to the window you show on your video clicking on that corner, so the way around to get to these settings is by typing the following on your File Explorer "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound" - is a shortcut for those who find this issue.

@@SirPig1337 hey dude there is a tab communications in sound settings, automatically it reduces your volume by 50 or 80%. Change to do nothing! Your welcome, it was driving me nuts too!

Go to search bar on the bottom left of the screen and type sound settings and open. then in the top right of that screen and click on sound control panel. now you are at the screen options as shown in the video.

when i try to increase the volume of my mic its still hardly picks up any sound. I dont think its the headset because it works fine on my xbox

Recording Devices was hidden away in some other place in my settings; under Audio-->Change Sound Settings. But once I found that the levels were already at 100 and my mic's recording volume is really low. Is there any other way to increase the input volume of a mic?
Yeah acutally, you can go to sound settings, you can find it on the windows bar and that arrow up thing, right click on the red speaker thingy and open sound manager. From there go to ur mic and right to the "recording volume" is a "microphone boost" click on that and choose how much you want to boost it, but don't boost it too much since there is a like beeeeeeep sound that is in the background when you speak, since you boosted it.

@@stevensmolka8874 press the windows key and then type control panel. From there go to sound and hardware and click on sound. Press the bit at the top that says recording, click on it and click properties. To find the best sound boost for you i'd recommend clicking listen to device and click apply, then press levels and where it says microphone boost get the one thats best for you by moving the slider then clicking apply.

Jallenps7 I just fixed it, If you have a stereo mixer in your sound board. Disable it, then I also had issues with hearing myself talk which you may have. Go into sound properties then choose your playback noise NOT your mic. Then go into properties, levels then press balance and put it right in the middle for everything
