I don't have the microphone boost option, I can't figure out what to do to fix it, I need to both massivly boost my audio, and I have to clear up the static, any tips, again I can't boost it normally.
Thank you for this tutorial! I've been trying to fix my low mic levels but no windows tooling was working. The Equalizer APO worked like a charm, setting the gain to +11.00dB makes it sound like a normal mic now!

I was getting mixed up between how much gain was needed prior to recording compared to needing to boost after to get to listenable loudeness levels. This great software and your great video has sorted it for me, a free solution when I thought I had to buy a £200+ audio interface with sliders and all the bells and whistles making a mess taking up desk space! I'm using a USB MIC and this solved a problem I had for years After raising the decibel level, it is recommended to use Nvdia’s Broadcast software to eliminate noise.
Even though the APO still didnt solve my issue, I really appreciate the tutorial! From what I understand a 3.5mm microphone is probably the answer over USB to eliminate the software dramas.
After making upgrades for Win 11 I faced with a lot of annoying stuff. Problems with mic is one of them. It's a shame. And their troubleshouting is so unnecessary!! never finds an issue! Thanks to this video I was able to correct the problem

Check your pc to see if it has 2 jacks. If it’s just one and you for sure have a mic look for software updates or connect it to a different device to see if the mice still works

Oh yeah it broke again after this. What I ended up doing was uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers if you have the same issue as me, check under video game controllers or something, near the bottom there's an extra driver for your microphone beyond the one under audio
@@Avafishh go to device manager, find the appropriate driver, like I said in my case I found them under "Sound, video and game controllers" right click on the driver and hit uninstall, then reboot your computer, it will reinstall the driver and hopefully should fix your issue.
I was really hoping this would work. But mine is still not detecting the sound for my mic properly 😔 Someone commented about realtek mic and that the installed differently. But idk how to
@@TropicalTech Butfulake (not sure the specific model). In settings it's labelled as a Realtek USB Audio. I did test another mic that also still doesn't work :/ P.s. can't believe you already responded XD
@@kathleenspeller5484 If the other mics don't work it could be a problem with the port. Have you seen my other video for microphones that are not working, it might be worth trying the methods on there

The Equalizer APO works for getting my Wyze Gaming Headset mic volume louder. It was really quite before the fix and there was no built in boost option in the drivers/sound options. Thanks!

Does equalizer apo make your mic louder without increasing the sensitivity? As in louder without more background noise being picked up?

MAN, I updated windows from 10 to 11 and there was no way I could turn up the Volume, with the Equalizer option everything was solved. You're Awesome

Yeah, that should help. Did you get a power supply with the mic, you may need one if the sound is low

After i opened up the app nothing came out of my mic
