    Just passed my module 2 today; first attempt. I was pretty nervous. I realized I had made a few mistakes during, which at the time got me quite worried, however I tried to put it behind me and continue focusing on the test, although I thought I wouldn't pass. When I got back turned out I only picked up 3 minors. Had I let myself continue worrying and loose focus after these mistakes as a result I'd have been more likely to not pass. Moral here is if thing's don't go as planned, push it out of your head and try to move on focusing on the test at hand. At the end of the day they're not trying to fail you, they just wan't to see you can ride on the roads safely and with a certain level of self confidence: I know I missed a few head checks and other things as well during the test but they didn't give me anything for them as, I guess, they know all riders make some mistakes.. and at the end of the day if you can show you're a safe rider generally they'll wan't to pass you. Just try as much as possible to roll with it and focus on the task at hand (either following the instructors single instructions or following signs). Watch these videos the night before the test as well as I really think this helped solidify my training over night, both with my module 1 and module 2. Good luck my dudes, you can do it!

      KingLies lol I have mate . I kinda did something I regret now . After cbt day I felt I was to big for bikes as the 125cc Chinese bike was really small .I thought there's no point in doing the theory etc if im just to big . ( 6"2 ) so I called in my local dealer and sat on a yamaha tracer 700 . Fell in love with it lol brand new one . Had it for 6k free delivery it's been sorn in my front room now 2 months haha my son who's 15 calls round with his gf and they sit on the fucking thing watching tv ! Anyway the bike school use honda 600 cbf. I really like them and they sell them too, all are totally hammered and dropped to fuck but I like that retro type naked bike with a few war wounds on it . If I pass next week il tax n insure the yamaha but I'm in no rush . I liked that bandit walk around you did it looks awesome. Do you still have the Honda?

    • @KingLies
      @KingLies  7 лет назад

      Hopefully you'll get to take it for a spin soon! Yeah I've still got the Honda. In all honesty I don't think I'll ever sell it. I'm a big old man in a 29 year old body. The bike is comfy, gets amazing mileage and there's storage for a helmet within the bike itself, so no weird boxes on the back. If I ever got another bike it would probably be just another version of this one or the updated 750. When you go from getting 30MPG to >80... You just can't go back! I recommend you try this bike when you think you've had enough of the more flashy ones. Absolutely cracking bikes and used to be £5k brand new. Cheap as chips.

      Even for someone with limited road experience? I've been more worried about the mod 2 because there's so much more than can go wrong.

    • @KingLies
      @KingLies  8 лет назад +2

      Well yes, because it's only 30-40 minutes of normal road usage. Look at this way, if you aren't up to a safe standard for a mere 40 minutes, then you shouldn't be allowed to be on the roads. The test is designed to show you're competent enough to be let loose on the world. If it goes wrong, it goes wrong. You're still a danger to yourself and others. View it like that and it doesn't matter if you fail.

    • @6Twisted
      @6Twisted 8 лет назад

      KingLies I've got 800 miles of experience on a 125 and I'm not dead yet so do I have a reasonable chance to pass?

    I can't get my head around this test. You can fail for shoulder checks, not doing the speed limit, etc, and if you fail, you can get on your 125 at the test centre, and carry on riding up to the speed limit, on the same roads as someone who passed, but with a printed red L on a piece of plastic strapped to your bike. It seems to me that the only difference is the power of the bike that you can ride, but shoulder checks, and riding too slowly etc, have no bearing on your ability to control a bigger bike ,over a 125 whatsoever..... The Mod 1, I can understand, as that is all about control of the bike. The Mod 2, it just doesn't seem logical to me....

      How ridiculous is the system we are living in. So true.
      Any delivery rider rides above the law, but you must be fanatically strict at your exam, on a road environment full of inconsiderate drivers. :)

      Just do your checks and ride to the rules of the road and you’ll pass, then you don’t have to worry at all! You can go to your 125 and take the L plates off! What’s crazy is the fact that in the US you can do a 2 day CBT and you’re fully licenced to ride away on a 1200 after 2 days riding and by all accounts it’s exactly the same as the CBT just spread over 2 days and is just as easy to get through!

I've been living and driving in the UK for almost 10 years now and finally decided to to succumb to the king's ransom and pay the £600 just to be able to do something here that I've been doing elsewhere for over 20 years. At 4:11 when he must of said pull over in a safe place you parked in front of someones drive kerb drop. i Know its very minor but it bugs me as i got the only minor of my driving test due to that. Rules might be different i guess for bikes or my examiner was looking for anything at all as i did have the perfect drive.

    • @OmsoiTekken
      @OmsoiTekken 8 лет назад +2

      Very true. I suppose it depends on the examiner. As Ben said, it probably didn't matter as much because the bike wasn't left unattended, but my instructor told me not to do this in case the examiner decides to mark you down for it.

    • @scubatricky
      @scubatricky 7 лет назад

      That would be the angled start from behind a parked vehicle. Often an examiner will explain to 'ignore the driveway, dropped kerb or double yellows' as there will be no time during test to find a spot with a parked vehicle when those conditions don't exist. All other times they'll expect no road markings, raised kerb.

    I'm curious, @16:40 - the roundabout, your turning right, straight on is no entry, you didn't indicate. Although straight on is no entry is it not still necessary for you to indicate? Traffic coming out of the 1st exit may pull out if you don't.

    • @KingLies
      @KingLies  5 лет назад

      What difference does it make? Would only be necessary if I did a u-turn since that would cut across the ones merging to my right.

      @@KingLies the first exit is no entry but trafic can still enter the roundabout from it so potentially someone could still come out and cut you up. Dimerz, you can pass a MOD 1 and 2 to get _any_ of the license grades. It depends how old you are and what size bike you do your test on. Wow you were lucky to pass that. Failed to indicate on right turn mini-roundabout. Failed left shoulder checks at least 3 times including when pulling into parking space at end of test (which you also failed to indicate left for BTW). Broke speed limit 5 - 7 times, never once indicated when pulling out past parked cars even when oncoming traffic, failed shoulder checks on several position changes, pulled out into outside lane but never moved to pass then returned to left lane, very few mirror checks while moving.. lol lucky boy! :)

      @KingLies  8 лет назад +6

      What on earth are you babbling about? I didn't fail to indicate on the right turn mini-roundabout because the only other exit is a no entry bus lane.
      There's no need for a shoulder check right at the end because I already have full vision on the approach and there's nobody there.
      I can't comment on your other nonsense because you don't give me any time-stamps for "failed shoulder checks on several position changes" or "broke speed limit 5-7 times" so it's most likely waffle, and I'm not watching the whole video again just to prove you wrong.

I am confident to take on the Module 2 but I don't feel I need as much lessons as my instructor is saying so, he's basically saying I need 2 x 2 hour sessions as well as £60 for bike hire and the test fee on top of that, I only feel I need a brief 2 hour session as I know all of the procedures in turning, pulling off etc. And everyday day to day riding abilities such as making sure you're always using them lifesavers, following road signs and just generally looking ahead? I don't know what to do at this stage do you go with who I'm already with and been trained by or do I ask around for a cheaper quote?
