    A tip: when you are using the tumeric root to cook or make tea add blackpepper as it helps absorb the nutrients better, kombucha, matcha tea quality is also good and all fermented foods are necessary daily. Take care and stay healthy...

    I really struggle with my gut health because of bad stress management and diet. I’m excited to try a lot of these out this is the first active effort I’ve ever made to improve it.
    Thanks for the video, clear and concise.

    Turmeric is great! Make sure you add some black pepper with it as it's essential to add to turmeric (as well as some fat, like olive or coconut oil) to activate its properties. One recipe is a turmeric 'latte' (no actual coffee): coconut milk (for the fat) + turmeric + black pepper + ginger, cinnamon. Froth up the milk if you have a coffee machine and enjoy! Super warming and good for your gut. It's an ancient Indian drink, I believe, my best friend told me that her grandma used to make her drink it frequently. There are recipes online with the proper levels of ingredients. Or add turmeric to curries, or coconut milk sauces :)

    I healed my chronic ulcer with just fruit fasting. I personally can't digest most of the foods, fruit works best for me. I believe we are frugivore, fruit is the only food that is karmaless. I still have some legumes now and then but only sprouted and after cooked. Fruit is the way.

    Does anyone know of a testing kit in the USA? I looked into Atlus and health path but they seem to only ship in the UK. Someone recommended I get a blood test done at a gastroenterologist? Does anyone know what the best and most affordable route to take would be for identifying what my stomach issues are. I only guess that I have ibs, ibd, crohns, or something along those lines but I really would like to get a proper diagnosis so I can have a game plan. Any help/suggestions is much appreciated!!!

      If You have gut problems stay away from garlic and onions for a while. Try eating raw onion/garlic and you’ll see what I mean. Even cooking them doesn’t breakdown the irritants that are in these vege

    • @madeleinejeann
      @madeleinejeann 2 года назад

      The low fodmap diet is really just a tool to see which foods are irritating for you personally. You can try eliminating them for a time, and then reincorporating them. If they cause no issues for you, then that’s great!

    Turmeric is toxic. Look into oxalic acid toxicity. I hope your viewers are aware that taking advice from someone who is regurgitating „health advice“ they read/heard online and who is only having surface level knowledge at best is not a wise idea.

      We Indians consume turmeric with milk (aka golden milk) and also in daily veggies we make. No day goes without consuming turmeric and this has been going on from ages and no one has ever reported any toxicity so kindly do a little research before writing such comment .

      Bump,
      I agree, there is risk (taken on by the viewers) in following those with surface-level knowledge, which this video seems to reflect.
      To emkay and random's responses (and Sunny's), turmeric "toxicity" is-as with virtually any ingestible substance-a matter of dose.
