Hey guys! I absolutely love making these gut health videos, it's by far my favourite topic to research. I know you guys love these videos too, so I really hope you find this one interesting and maybe even insightful! Thanks for watching ❤
Thank you so much for sharing this information. It's eye opening... and helps people get on the right path. Keep making these videos. You've turned something negative in your life in to a positive by sharing with the world your experiences. Thanks again & Many Blessings ❤
A tip: when you are using the tumeric root to cook or make tea add blackpepper as it helps absorb the nutrients better, kombucha, matcha tea quality is also good and all fermented foods are necessary daily. Take care and stay healthy...
I really struggle with my gut health because of bad stress management and diet. I’m excited to try a lot of these out this is the first active effort I’ve ever made to improve it. Thanks for the video, clear and concise.
Turmeric is great! Make sure you add some black pepper with it as it's essential to add to turmeric (as well as some fat, like olive or coconut oil) to activate its properties. One recipe is a turmeric 'latte' (no actual coffee): coconut milk (for the fat) + turmeric + black pepper + ginger, cinnamon. Froth up the milk if you have a coffee machine and enjoy! Super warming and good for your gut. It's an ancient Indian drink, I believe, my best friend told me that her grandma used to make her drink it frequently. There are recipes online with the proper levels of ingredients. Or add turmeric to curries, or coconut milk sauces :)
I dropped out of college to help my sisters raise their kids. Now that they're in school my goal is to get my body back this is motivating me I just need a workout regime
I was searching a little about this last night and watched your original video on this! I didn’t realise it was so old and having just clicked on this one in the first 15 seconds of the vid it’s amazing to see how much you have grown in so many ways!!!:’) strange sorry but smash it girl and thankyou for the helpful content !!
This was SO interesting, Sophie! I recommend getting Greek oregano oil if you can - it is so potent and has incredible flavour, I take it whenever I feel a cold coming on and it helps so much.
Wow, I’ve been researching Turmeric lately and am amazed by the benefits of including it in your daily life. I’ve started adding a touch of it stirred into my morning juice and got my husband onto it too .The powdered kind is much cheaper then taking capsules. X
Such a good explanation - not easy giving such a simple and easy to understand explanation of such a complex topic 😍 will definitely be adding some more turmeric into my diet
Hi Sophie. Wild caught fish is also good for you. Since adding enough protein and omega 3's in my diet, depression has left me. Wild caught fish like salmon and sardines are good for you.
I healed my chronic ulcer with just fruit fasting. I personally can't digest most of the foods, fruit works best for me. I believe we are frugivore, fruit is the only food that is karmaless. I still have some legumes now and then but only sprouted and after cooked. Fruit is the way.
Thanks Sophie.I liked the tips you have given in this video. One thing I want to mention is the power of yoga.Wester prople understand yoga as physical exercise, but astang yoga of Patanjali is based on 8 limbs (steps) which includes Pranayam(breathing techniques and 3 steps of meditation dhyan, dharana and samadhi (Focus, deep concentration and Union with the high consciousness) which benefitsn Physical ,mental, emotiona;l and spiritual health.
Sophie I love your presentations and thank you again. I have eliminated all sugar in my diet and use Tumeric and Black Pepper daily. Also I practice self healing using visualisation and self hypnosis. As well as teaching Energy Healing and Trance Meditation to others . Greetings from James J in Limerick city Ireland 🇮🇪 PS , I subscribed and liked.
What surprisingly worked best for me was IBS hypnotherapy videos on youtube. Didn't think that would have any effect, but I guess I was subconsciously tightening my abdomen/guts or something like that and that's what caused most of my IBS problems.
On my own gut health journey right now so this was very helpful, thank you! Have you ever tried Nerva? Just about to start their gut-directed hypnotherapy course 🤞
Another interesting & informative video that has been well researched Sophie. Not experiencing gut health issues yet( that doesn't mean it won't happen). I eat a lot of spicy recipes and they always contain Tumeric and Green Tea i prefer to black tea. Thanks for sharing this information. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕Sophie.
Does anyone know of a testing kit in the USA? I looked into Atlus and health path but they seem to only ship in the UK. Someone recommended I get a blood test done at a gastroenterologist? Does anyone know what the best and most affordable route to take would be for identifying what my stomach issues are. I only guess that I have ibs, ibd, crohns, or something along those lines but I really would like to get a proper diagnosis so I can have a game plan. Any help/suggestions is much appreciated!!!
Hey, I’m a pharmacist, garlic is a very good source for reducing inflammation and boosting the immune system. It is regularly used in a lot of medications still to this day.
If You have gut problems stay away from garlic and onions for a while. Try eating raw onion/garlic and you’ll see what I mean. Even cooking them doesn’t breakdown the irritants that are in these vege
The low fodmap diet is really just a tool to see which foods are irritating for you personally. You can try eliminating them for a time, and then reincorporating them. If they cause no issues for you, then that’s great!
It sounds like singing might really improve your gut health as it combines breath-work which improves blood flow with mindfulness and reducing stress as well as massaging the gut
Beware those with mcas, Sibo or histamine issues and those oils and probiotics that Can Make You Worse! There is no recipe for all as there is no microbiota the same! These vids aren't helpfull, Sorry Sophie!
Turmeric is toxic. Look into oxalic acid toxicity. I hope your viewers are aware that taking advice from someone who is regurgitating „health advice“ they read/heard online and who is only having surface level knowledge at best is not a wise idea.
@@emkay4960 most Indians are sick…. Have you been to india? And looked at them…. It’s only the higher class population that are/looks healthy and they don’t consume soo many spices/herbs that are low dose toxins
We Indians consume turmeric with milk (aka golden milk) and also in daily veggies we make. No day goes without consuming turmeric and this has been going on from ages and no one has ever reported any toxicity so kindly do a little research before writing such comment .
Bump, I agree, there is risk (taken on by the viewers) in following those with surface-level knowledge, which this video seems to reflect. To emkay and random's responses (and Sunny's), turmeric "toxicity" is-as with virtually any ingestible substance-a matter of dose.

You explained this SO WELL! And I also appreciate you stating you’re not a professional!
Thank you! Yes I would never want anyone to take my advice over a professional!! ❤️
Biliary reflux is a big culprit in destroying the mucosal stomach lining. A video on this would be amazing.

Had all the disruption till I quit all wheat and grains. No issues after that. Grain free is the way.

Helpful video.

Have you heard of cell salts? I think minerals are super important!
I don't think Green tea does anything in this case.I only drink green tea for 12 years and always have problems with my intestine.
Which program do you use editting your videos?☺️💘
also in processed foods are too much salt. Too much salt flushes gut bacteria.

I think Indians who've been eating it for ages and reaping benefits would beg to differ with your "superior" take.
