As old as they are here...in their 60s...still the greatest!! Jason Bonham...son of the original drummer John Bonham who died in 1980...did his daddy proud!!
Yeah
He certainly did make his dad proud.
U listened to one of the best performances...1979 "In the Evening" with the real drummer...the father of the that drummer.
The amount of skill and talent on that stage will never be seen again. For over 60 years, they remain without debate, supreme.
This concert holds the world record for ticket requests. Over 20 million people wanted tickets to this concert. Only 20 thousand got in.
I can attest to that. Tried to get 4 the moment they went on sale, with airline tickets to follow if successful. Shutout, never had a chance. Thank God the video produced was as good as the performance!
20,000 most fortunate.
@@ronaldelliott4373I had the precise same experience. Sold out in something like 4 minutes.
This is believe.
I was one of the lucky ones. The highlight for me was them doing In My Time of Dying.
The singer Robert Plant wrote the words as him & guitarist Jimmy Page drove through the Sahara Desert. They were on their way to a music festival, they enjoyed meeting the people on their journey to Morocco. Though neither could understand the languages, they did the music. Robert Plant fell in love with Morocco, & visits there often. It’s the song the band is most proud of.
Wow 🥹
Thanks for sharing this information 😌
@@YankeeRoyalReactionary you are very welcome. They have so many more great songs, yes Rock & Roll, but they do a variety of music genres. Considered the greatest band ever by millions & millions of fans. They performed from (1968 to 1980) when sadly the drummer John Bonham passed away. Some great songs Since I’ve Been Loving You * The Song Remains The Same/Rain Song* live at Madison Square Gardens (1973). All Of My Love, a tribute to singer Robert Plants 5 year old son who passed away. Just a few songs to get you started.
ironically they hadn’t been to kashmir or I think even india at that point
@@Cassxowary I saw an interview with Robert, who said that’s how it happened, don’t ask me which one because I’ve seen so many.
@@Cassxowary Hippy trail in the 1970's.
This show was 2007, they are much older here. Kashmir came out in 1975.
You have only begun to scratch the surface of Led Zeppelin's brilliance.
Great reaction ladies you can never go wrong with a Led Zep reaction 👌👍
Greetings from fellow Commonwealth country, Canada. Nicely observed, perfectly commented... it convinced me to sub. The singer, Robert Plant is just turned 59 here... check out whatever all the others will recommend, but ensure you do the version from MSG, NYC, 1973 in which Robert is 24. You will get a WHOLE OTHER appreciation of him. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
I think you would appreciate the version of Kashmir on their Unledded album with the Middle Eastern players
A beautiful reaction, I'm loving it. dive deeper. That was the last song of a 2 hour gig... watch the whole concert.
The song is as fresh as when it was released almost 50 years ago.
KASHMIR IS MY FAVORITE LED ZEPPELIN SONG ...
The Greatest Band Of All Time!
Led Zeppelin was & is Rock-N-Roll on wrap drive.
THIS one was the best performance of "Kashmir!!!" It was perfected at this time.
That, ladies, is Led Zep. You'll never forget that.
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven. Live version from Madison Square Garden in New York City in 1973.
Yes!!!
Sure 👍
Please do more ze!!! I subscribed! Greatest band ever!!!
Sure 👍
It was awesome then and it’s still awesome now. Truly one of the great live performances - regardless of age!
The song was based on a trip Jimmy and Robert took to Morocco. They have played this music with musicians in the desert using the instruments owned by the local musicians. Very evocative.
Great reaction! This is one of my favorite live performances of all time.
John Paul Jones played the bass with his feet
That ending really puts you in a trance. Awsome!!!
Ah the Gods of Rock & Roll. You do know this song was in the top 10 requested songs, somewhere on this Planet... for over 10 years straight.... don't you? Try their biggest hit "Stairway to Heaven"... and then ... just too many to single out one or two. Nice review.
Amazing that minus their drummer JonBon they literally turned back the hands of time. This performance was one of the greatest live performances ever.
Rock gods.
I'm liking and sub for that reaction 😁
Thank you so much ☺️
LED ZEPPELIN are THE FOUNDERS of a very new (here 1975) Music-Genre mentioned in the future "HARDROCK" or "HEAVY METAL" that has NEVER existed in this form on our little blue planet before!
They were young (20+) and they wrote milestones in music - Genius!!!
fun fact: Robert Plant was Married to Maureen Wilson (a Desi from Kolkata), and Robert Plant, himself, is part Desi (Roma on his Mum's Side, so historically speaking) (because of course that’s like a millennium ago lol)
and tragic not fun fact…
sadly their son Karac (Pendragon) Plant died at age 5 of a stomach virus or infection in 77… and he canceled their tour of course… glad he’s able to live and be happy again though
Y'all about to have your hair blown ALL THE WAY BACK! 😎
...and LED ZEPPELIN just WERE in KASHMIT!!!
Yes, there was a lottery for tickets. Still waiting mine, maybe post lost ,dont know😁
Girls---------check out, Since I've Been Loving You from Madison Square Gardens 1973. When they were young and Robert Plants voice was on fire.
Roberts fist wife was is from India.
"Maureen Wilson was born in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India on November 20th, 1948. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Birmingham in England where her father owned and operated a steel factory"
I enjoyed watching your reaction, and you now have a new subscriber. I glanced through your videos and I'm looking forward to watching American Family Road Trips. Led Zeppelin are legendary, and they have many great songs. I hope you react to another one of their greatest songs called Stairway to Heaven live at Madison Square Garden 1973, official video. It's different but every bit as epic as what you saw today.
What an introduction to the greatest band of all time
Great choice. You might like Pink Floyd-Comfortably Numb ,AC/DC - Thunderstruck, RUSH-Spirit Of The Radio and Meat Loaf - I Would Do Anything For Love,But I Won't Do That.
I hope you have good speakers and aren't piping this through a laptop. Half this song is the power and build-up... only present in a good set of headphones, speakers or live.
OK this is maybe clickbaitish. But I'll admit I'd also like to get the opinion of....
I don't usually like these videos because of the constant interruptions. You guys have a good style and good commentary.
Excellent!
Respect to you ladies 💖
I saw Page & Plant do this with a full symphony orchestra AND an egyptian orchestra. I remember it like it was yesterday
Most of these utube reactions involving foreigners seem a little American Idol ish however. Where are the reactors who hate it? Especially foreigners I mean some Americans hate Led Zeppelin... But ok they probably wouldn't review music they hate. ❤
I wish the Indian women I work with spoke English as well as you ladies.
My absolute favorite band of all time. These guys had so much soul.
The lead singer is still touring in 2024 with Alison Krauss.
They journed thru inda met tribesman, learned the culture , this is a love song to them
I don't know why they called the song Kashmir. It was inspired by a trip to Morocco and as you will know Kashmir has no desert. Maybe they thought the double syllable title sounded better than a 3 syllable one. Maybe they didn't want the song to seem too specifically focussed, geographically.
focused* and it was probably the fad of being enamoured with India (and rightly so of course), a lot of artists were at the time… it’s just ironic it was during a trip through a deserty area of morocco considering they hadn’t been to Kashmir yet which is basically like southern germany, austria, switzerland lol
@@Cassxowary *focused is the American spelling. In normal English it's customary to double the final consonant of the infinitive form in a past participle.
One auricular!! Noooo!!😢
Understood 1/3 words will listen...lol
YO SOY EL QUE SOY 👁☝️❤🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🏁🌎
The look on her face says it all.
Brit rock rules 🇬🇧
Charming ladies 💖😂
It was great hearing reaction from 2 authentic Indian woman... always wanted to know what Indian people thought about this song.. it's personally my favorite all time song... Even have it as my ring tone.. thank you ladies
I LOVE it when they said: "Wow."
I like the way they don’t interrupt / you can see their reaction is genuine
Cute ladies 💖💖💖😂
I love you.
So glad you enjoyed this song and performance of it. I got chills when I watched this performance for the first time, know Jason Bonham must have been bursting knowing he filled his father's shoes so brilliantly. You should watch the Page-Plant - MTV unplugged version of this song. They had an orchestra combined with New York and Egyptian musicians behind them and Michael Lee on drums. It's incredible! I also recommend "Gallows Pole" from that same concert. Epic!
Journey - Don't Stop Believin' (Live 1981: Escape Tour - 2022 HD Remaster)
Noted 📝
You young ladies should also watch the live version from (1979) at Knebworth. Both versions are amazing, I prefer the older version, when John Bonham played the drums, though his son Jason did amazing on this version. You also might want to checkout the words to this song, to know the story better.
Sure 👍
Hello girls, glad you enjoyed this masterpiece. Take care.
Thank you! You too!
Who's the drummer?
Jason Bonham. The son of the original drummer for the band, John Bonham.
They were driving across the Northern Sahara (Mauritania?) in some sort of Land Rover type vehicle. Robert Plant fell asleep and the entire song came to him in a dream. He doesn't know if it is about the actual Kashmir, He just felt it was about ancient people living traditional lives; maybe in or near the desert. It certainly is beautiful. I believe he had a spot of bother getting the rest of the band to put it together - it is rather complicated. All in all, not too bad for three elderly men and the drumming son of the original drummer who died around 1980. Sadly, everyone seems to overlook John Paul Jones (on keyboards here). He could, and did, play every musical instrument, and arranged all their music - even those with orchestral accompaniment.
I’m a 61 year old man from Kettering,England and I was lucky enough to see them at Knebworth in 1979.I had to apply for my ticket by sending a money order and waiting to see if I was lucky enough to get a ticket as they could have sold out ten times over. When I got the reply that I had been waiting for at my postbox every morning. I felt like it by Willy Wonka who had won the Golden Ticket. Now you’ve seen them you’ll get addicted but it will be a great experience.’
Led Zeppelin started out in London back in 1968 / 70 and were one of the bands that were thought to have started the whole heavy rock music together with Black Sabbath and others that came after all British Bands, it took a while for the US to catch up!!!
Ah, the beginnings of "power rock." Beautiful.
Thank you for this video. Great to see your reaction to it. Led Zeppelin. Simply the best at what they do.
My favorite band and seen them in the late 70’s
Did you? One fan my age compared to that of a religious experience. And you?
My favorite !! Love you girls!♥️
Be sure to listen to the official release as well.
Ummmm, trust me, y'all done heard some of their song's before. "Stairway To Heaven", is one of THE most talked about song's in the world! Stairway To Heaven is the song, that is literally banned in majority of the music instrument store's, from bein able to be used to test the instrument's out on. Another, that I know, that you have also heard, is in a more recent movie(Thor: Ragnarok), as it end's up being Thor's "theme song", when he realizes, that the power come's from within him, not the hammer, and his eye's light up bright blue & white(Due to the electricity). The song is "Immigrant Song". And, another one of their famous song's is, "When The Levee Breaks". Another song is, "Whole Lotta Love". "Black dog". "Dazed & Confused". "Ramble On". And, they have other's, but these are all their top hit's! And, not to mention, how they have been playin, since the 60's! Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath(With Ozzy Osbourne), Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly(You would love the song "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida"), Cream, The Kinks, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Vanilla Fudge(Not as well known as the other's, though), Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad, Judas Priest, The Beatles, and obviously The Rolling Stones(Obviously), to name the majority of those, who were the pioneer's of what is known as "Heavy Metal" music today. And, each of them, have iconic song's, that you have probably heard before, but didn't realize, that's what you were listening to...
It's so frickin' hard not to vote "Stairway To Heaven" as the #1 Classic Rock song of all time. Even with so much competition.
Unfortunately; Robert took the joy away from Jimmy. By not agreeing to a tour after this show.
And no one considered JPJ at all.
Plant took us there - what more do you want.
@@tobiasisback4605 I wanted to see them tour soon after. I was too young in the '70's to see the original lineup. All they had to do was cut back on the number of tour dates, and allow for more rest time in between dates, if stamina was a concern. Still would've been the biggest tour in history. They said after the one off show, they could've played even better
@@monroegodette6440 I honestly don’t feel Plant's voice was up to a tour. Perfect to bow out on this perfect note imo.
Promise me something ladies. Get all their albums and cherish them,:))
They'll hate themselves if they don't.
Fun, fun, FUN!
I’m an old hippy lady. Led Zeppelin was at the height of their popularity in America, and provided the soundtrack to my high school years. *Kashmir* was, and still is, one of my favorite songs of theirs. My husband and I travel within a few hours’ driving distance to attend the concerts of a local-ish Zeppelin cover band whose specialty is re-creating the exact sound from the studio albums, which often means there are seven or eight people on the stage. They are absolutely *amazing,* and have slowly expanded the radius of venues they play at, from a few mid-Atlantic states, and into the American Midwest and South. I am SO happy for them and their success, even though it means they don’t play locally as often and we don’t get to see them as much.
Anyhoo, this cover band, Get The Led Out, always saves the best- *Kashmir-* for last. When the first couple of notes of the song begin playing, the entire audience leaps to its feet, ready to sing along. It’s positively electric and full of joy!
You two ladies picked a great song; nothing makes me happier than witnessing young people discovering this music, and so very obviously enjoying it!
ROCK ON, DUDETTES!!!
You should listen to Zepperella, an all female band that does Zeppelin covers. They are great.
Have seen get the led out! Only problem is they don't do enough songs!
Now listen to the Studio version of this song.I think it's so much better. It's just unbelievable
Led zeppelin best band ever kashmir is for the Muslims i hate to disappoint you girls anyways led zeppelin greatest band ever and ever will be they where truly talented by the mighty God
That’s A Bonham, not THE Bonham.
