I'm closer to 70 than 60, and I've been listening to "Kashmir" since it came out in 1975. It's a masterpiece of a song that never gets old. Listening to a performance like this can make my eyes water too, even after so many years.
@@bradboyle757 And when you're wondering "Which way to heaven?", an angel will sing to you: "Let me take you there. I can take you there, don't you know?"
Proves how incredible Led Zeppelin were! Years later they could still do it effortlessly! With John Bonhams son Jason on drums! Awesome! Thanks for reacting to this Pretty Lady! ♥️🎼🎶🎵🇨🇦🇨🇦
You are emotional because when you seen them in younger years and see how good they are then you see them all these years later and are still so amazing it's just so powerful to realize that something so amazing is still real and still beautiful and still full.of the life and power
Robert Plant: THAT voice THAT mighty riff. THAT level of sheer power... moving a young lady to tears of joy even decades after Zeppelin first performed it. Ambrose, your reaction was TOTALLY understandable. So happy i saw this. YOU made me shed a tear too.
Your reaction was a pleasure to watch, and your genuine emotion was moving. For context, this was 2007, and was the first full length concert performed by Led Zeppelin since 1980, when they disbanded after their drummer John Bonham tragically died. Filling in for John on drums is his son, Jason Bonham! Over the years they reunited a few times for different events, and by their own admission those performances were quite poor by their high standards... when this concert was announced over 20 million people applied to be in the lottery for tickets!! I think the reason you were emotional is that you were reacting to the passage of time... realizing that they still have the same passion and intensity almost 40 years later... It's an impressive and very inspiring thing to witness.
I cry when I hear this too - but for me, I first heard Led Zeppelin around 1971, and then in 1979 brought their last album at age 14. I think the tears are mostly that it could still happen in 2007 in London, and still be so good.
It's OK to laugh, cry, smile, etc. uncontrollably. Just be spiritually moved in general. They've been doing that to me for 42 years. Love your honest and visceral reactions 🔥❤👍🤘
A heartfelt reaction. Led Zeppelin has been touching hearts and minds for over 50 years. You don’t have to apologize for something that touches your soul. That’s the point. Now for the trifecta you can react to the Knebworth 1979 version and see how the original drummer John Bonham amazes on the drums.
I grew up in the 70’s; a teenager, now nearing 70. Thank you for expressing what I’ve felt the first time watching this…cry & grateful I lived in a time on this earth with such a special AMAZING band LZ ❤
Yeah I was similarly amazed when i saw this. I mean most even legendary bands that reunite when they get older, Im sorry but usually they dont sound so great, its more of a nostalgia thing. But Led Zeppelin here - they still absolutely got it, they are freaking amazing. They are truly kings.
This was so incredible!! I got to see them in 1977, I was 15 years old.. they were and still are my favorite band! They did so great at this performance and all those years later!!!Incredible!!! 🎼✌️❤️ The drummer is the son of the original drummer whose passing was the end of Led Zeppelin.. Bonzo💔🥁
I remember when they were new. Wait a minute, that means I'm old. Dang it. Lol. Yes the older we get, the better we get. Lol. The drummer is the son of the original drummer.
Yes, Led Zeppelin is the greatest band ever, but its no reason to cry. Now you are making me cry. Thats ok, its a good cry. Cry on! I mean rock on, sistet!
When I look at their live performances through The years from the 60s on to 2007 I felt that their performance recorded at Madison square garden what's the best performance ever then when I watch their 2007 concertI became completely taken away by the fact that they just keep getting better and better
Hey girl you are not the only one crying 😢 I’m so happy the got together for celebration day concert I wish they do another one my favorite band of all time Led Zeppelin 💕❤️😍
Love seeing you getting emotional. This happens, when music touches your heart. In case of Led Zeppelin the same happens to me. Keep on reacting and have fun.
The amazing music of my youth! So many other bands and true artists making great music. Robert Plant, Jimmy Paige (guitar master,) John Paul Jones (keyboards, mandolin, flute, everything else,) John Bonham (drummer died in 1980) -- Jason Bonham, his son (drummer)
To help your confusion with how emotional you feel, it's because they are such genuinely talented and instinctively musical souls that they know how to get in your head, your heart and your soul and take you on a journey that moves you. Truly gifted, beautiful people who know how to rock and are a very rare thing these days. Having true heart and feeling is something that never ages, hence how the world has Led Zeppelin. Bonzo's son Jason has had that passed down to him through his Dad's legacy. Bonzo we miss ya. Hope that helps x
This was the first "official" LZ concert in 27 years. It's probably the last. They nailed it and went out on a high note. If it makes you feel emotional, it should. The drummer is John Bonham's son and had been waiting his whole life for that one show. It makes me cry. Robert hits notes in this that he didn't in the 77 tour. He was really reaching deep to make it special. One last, great moment.
Amazing- what actual talent and ability and work and a desire to work together can do. Brilliant. You too, A,C,- we love to see honesty, even if tears come. Greetings from Canada- be safe.
For me personally music is an extention of all my emotions, what you have witnessed was a special group of people. The drummer is the son of the original drummer John Bonham (Jason). Robert was very close to John and his death hit him very hard so having Jason perform was indeed a very emotional experience for all.... Glad you enjoyed 👌
You are so emotional because , you were just given a great gift from Led Zeppelin. The gift of being able to listen and see them in your time , you could just literally reach out and touch them and their music. I am 61 and was brought up with them , I already have that gift , now it's your turn , and my what a wonderful gift it is . Thank you for reminding me of their gift to me , with your reaction. I saw them in concert when I was young. By the way the drummer is the original drummers son , his dad John Bonham died in 1980 ,considered by many to be the best rock drummer of all time .
You know it's a great song if it moves you to tears the first time you hear it. The first time I heard "Kashmir," it was a bit strange because it was only being used as a background for Puff Daddy (his name at the time) rapping on "Come with Me." Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin played guitar behind Puffy along with a big orchestra. "Kashmir" is an unusually impressive song because the drums are playing in a different time signature from the guitar and keys. The drummer (first John Bonham and his son Jason here) is in standard 4/4 time while Jimmy Page's guitar and John Paul Jones's keyboards are in 3/4 time, like a waltz. Led Zeppelin loved to do these time signature tricks. They also did variations of this on "Black Dog" and "Fool in the Rain," among others. John Bonham was arguably the greatest rock drummer of all time, and his son Jason knows all of his dad's music like the back of his hand. He plays regularly in a band called "Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience."
It's the upwelling joy that such music creates - just bubbling up & into feelings! Think we all have experienced it! Know I have!! 😁 For more, watch Battle of Evermore from the No Quarter: Unledded album!!! Won't disappoint!
Remember great rock never gets old. 65 and it stills sounds like I'm back in the early 70s. Had a great trip back then. There was so much great music. What a shame there's nothing like it now.
Led Zep did reunion performances for several times and those never works fine without the original drummer John Bonham (died in 1980, so the band broke up). On this concert, Jason Bonham, the original drummer’s son has joined for the first time. He fought for the pressures because his father is DRUM GOD. Jason’s challenge must have ignited the spirit of the other former members. The result was, As you seen, the whole concert was spectacular and this Kashmir was epic, It blows this 52 year old guys mind too!
I'm a 60 year old man who listened to them as a teenager every night for a year then owned concert light shows as an adult in the 80's I got to operate my lights for a band in Australia called The Zep Boys I practiced for days then did a week of gigs with them it was awesome. I get emotional every time I hear them.
True story. Was so excited that my first concert was going to be L. Z.. They played in Roanoke, Va. Then took a 2 week break before coming to my area. Bonham flew back home for his time off. In his castle mansion, he tragically, as we all know, passed. Needless to say, my virginal status to experience a live show was kept intact. Some 50 odd years later, it remains the same!
I'm a retired grandfather now and I grew up in the 70s and 80s and listened to them than and they were great than and their still great my gran children listen to them and my grandaughter love them at the age of 10
This is an excellent performance with Jason Bonham playing drums rather than his father. I believe there were 20 million ticket request for this concert. I think the did a lottery for tickets.I would suggest that you now check out the live performance at Knebworth in 1979. John Bonham (Bonzo) was dead within the next year, and the band quit because they felt they couldn’t continue without him. This Knebworth performance really demonstrates how good Bonzo really was, and Robert’s vocals are great.
Every now and then, if you’re fortunate, you get to witness human excellence at the highest possible level. Sports, art, music, philosophy, it does not matter. You just witnessed the validation of the 50 year old claim that this band is the greatest rock band of all time prove it. 40+ years after this was first recorded and these old dudes are ripping it apart LIVE. I personally like this version better than the original.
Beautiful reaction! You tapped into the passion folded within the soulful expression of the music...the depth of feeling as a visceral presence alive eternally within the sublime beauty of Led Zeppelin-the greatest!
Just saw this reaction. This is one Led Zeppelin song that brings me to tears as well. Just because this song is a work of beauty and fills me with so much joy! Another version of this song that really gets me is when Jimmy Page and Robert Plant played this on MTV Unledded in 1994; they were up on stage with a full band and an orchestra from Egypt, absolutely amazing! And you're right, these guys are great musicians who keep getting better through the years. Other musicians that kept getting better and better are B.B. King, Paul McCartney and Jeff Beck!
WOW! This is incredible to still sound like this when they were in their 60's when this reunion took place. Jason bonham reminds me so much of his late father he has those heavy hands on the sticks and it is incredible. There is no doubt john is looking down on his greatest joy watching his son carry on in his place. Thank you for such an emotional genuine reaction it was a joy to watch. You are so beautiful and aren't afraid to show your emotions very heartwarming.
At the time of this concert this song was 30 years old. There is a video of them performing it in, I believe, 1975 when the album "Physical Grafitti" came out. I bought the album then and listening to this it still sounds the same. The only difference being the drummer here is the son of the bands late original drummer, John Bonham died in 1980 and they quit playing. His son Jason does his father proud here. He also plays with Heart on the Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin doing "Stairway to Heaven". Another one you should check out.
The Drummer is the son of the original drummer who past away 40 years ago as of 2020.I don't think this would have ever happened had it not been for Jason Bonham....Was Friggin AWESOME !!!
The Drummer is Jason Bonham, son of the original drummer the late great John Bonham, filling the very big shoes of his dad playing his dad's original (YES ORIGINAL) drum kit. a 5 Piece Ludwig Vista Light with Timpani and Gong.
Wonderful reaction! Check out the band Heart honoring Led Zeppelin by performing "Stairway To Heaven" live at Kennedy Center . The band was presented with awards by President Obama that day, then Heart performed a wonderful tribute to Led Zeppelin. I think you'll love it. Jason Bonham, the son of Led Zeppelin's late drummer John Bonham. performs with Heart in the tribute (he is also the drummer in this video, which was their last live performance together). Peace
You can feel the rhythm of the motion of the camels when riding. The heat of the desert sun and sands. The emptiness of travel across empty realms. Kashmir a fabled city on the ancient silk road! Great imaginative music!!!! Great musicians and band at any age!!!! I loved watching the joy in your face as you experienced this!!!!
Jason Bonham, the drummer is the son of John Bonham….the original drummer. John passed away from drinking. That was the end of the band. The Pianist is also the bass player and has been teaching music in University for 30 years. Jason, the son used to play dromums in rehearsal since he was 8 years old. He was always considered one of the band.
One sentence, Heart "Stairway To Heaven" live at Kennedy Center Honours Led Zeppelin. You will be blown away by this cover of the greatest Rock-Ballad of all time.
@Consuelo Patagonia “How much had been lost and how this great glorification was so far away from the initial intention of the song,” Plant said. “And the way that time modifies and these are occasions which celebrate the connection between music and people and its effect, which is great, but I thought this environment was like so far out and so … It was just like ‘What am I doing here?’ and ‘What’s happened to the song?’ and ‘Isn’t it beautiful?’ But did I like it for the last previous 20 years? No.” ledzepnews.com/2018/06/23/robert-plant-on-stairway-to-heaven-its-like-a-relative-of-mine-somewhere/
Hi there, dear Cynthia ! This is from their reunion concert in 2007 at Wembley Stadium... John Bonham, the original drummer, who passed away in 1982, was replaced by his son, Jason Bonham... what a great live version, isn't it ? Always good to see you, showing your honest feelings, you know that this is, what I love the most from your reaction videos. I'm curious about your next Aurora and Mylene reactions. May I recommend another song from the Nidarosdomen concert ? Please react to "Through the eyes of a child", or "It happened quite", or "Lucky"... Aurora wrote "Lucky" at the age of 9... and yet this text is so profound and deep. As far as Mylene is concerned, do a reaction video on her most successful song after "Desenchantee"... it's "Sans contrefcon". Watch the live version of 2009, it's probably the best. All the best from Germany : Gerry

Jason Bonham, the son of Led Zeppelin's late drummer John Bonham. performs with Heart in the tribute (he is also the drummer in this video, which was their last live performance together).
Peace
Cynthia, a breathe of fresh air in a world of sadness.... thank you love. 😊✌.
You can feel the rhythm of the motion of the camels when riding. The heat of the desert sun and sands. The emptiness of travel across empty realms. Kashmir a fabled city on the ancient silk road! Great imaginative music!!!! Great musicians and band at any age!!!! I loved watching the joy in your face as you experienced this!!!!
the drummer is Jason Bonham, the son of the late, great John Bonham who died way too soon
LOVED watching your reaction to one of the greatest songs ever recorded. You are amazing!!!!
John Bonham son, Jason, killed it on the drums...made papa proud.
I'm crying...still.
The guy on drums is John Bonhams son sadly we lost John many years ago. They never performed again after that until this concert.
I saw them 40+ years ago..
Diamond's and gold don't age.
Like a fine wine...yes it ages well.
I wanted to cry 2!! So happy to see ur reaction❤️
Those beautiful tears are your soul smiling from this amazing song. From the Rock gods themselves
One sentence, Heart "Stairway To Heaven" live at Kennedy Center Honours Led Zeppelin. You will be blown away by this cover of the greatest Rock-Ballad of all time.
@Consuelo Patagonia Well. opinions can be different. I love it. Cheers
@Consuelo Patagonia In an interview, he explained what he was thinking at that exact moment, and it was not tears of joy or emotion.
No.”

This makes us all emotional!
Shivers and tears Ambrose. This is Kashmir.
So glad you enjoyed it. Take care, stay safe, and God Bless
I know what you mean about being emotional sometimes about certain rock songs. I feel the same way about Boston's More Than A Feeling.
It’s going to be the saddest day ever when they r gone. There will never be another
In america sometimes there is a thing called “Tears 😢of Joy.” Perhaps that’s why you got emotional 🥹
Bonham passed away in 1980
@@awmerriam4 Oh sorry, you're right.
@@troedelgerry no worries brother 👍
Clarification: It was at the 02 Arena - not Wimbledon
