      I like Ethan's filming approach a lot. He understands how abandoned houses are the stars of the show, not him. So, you get him at nice little doses. I wince at obtrusive explorers basically selfie shooting on location, it makes me want to close video. I watch urban exploration to get a first person viewpoint, is it too much to ask to have the content maker stay mostly in the backseat?

    I don’t know why this makes me sad. It’s time that passed and just was trashed and not cared about.. I hate you had to do this in the dark. Please stay safe when doing these finds after dark. You always work hard to find us the old untouched. Thanks Ethan!

    Hi Ethan 😎🏎💨,I can see how out dated it was because of the colors and outdated packages there and the booths to,aside the place is a wreck but I wonder if there’s an old video of that place,be really cool to see how it used to look. Anyway stay warm because of the arctic cold weather we are having lately and can’t wait to see your next awesome video 😁😎🏎💨🏁

    Cool video, Ethan. In a way, it somewhat reminded me of a place when I lived in St. Louis Missouri called Crown Candy kitchen. it’s still open they have an old-time candy store along with diner sandwiches and ice creams They been in business since 1913. I believe the wood booths inside are original from that era. You may enjoy checking it out online as there is plenty of interior photos and photos of nostalgic, Coca-Cola memorabilia, and a jukebox.

    I can imagine how cool it would have been when it was newer and in operation, the color scheme and the tile and decor looked cool in the nifty '50's diner style!🤩 I'm sure it was a busy and lively place that most likely served up some tasty diner food and shakes !🥤 It's a shame they closed. I'm sure they were greatly missed! 😐

    Ethan, that looks like it would’ve been good for a movie prop back in the day, for an early 80s film on the order of something for “Jeepers Creepers” and I’ve wrote on some stories w/a retro feel for some of them,But this has some retro linger to it for sure all the things you noticed👍✅💖⚡️One more thing I only seen 1 orb flash to the left from the middle of the restaurant,...And now you know, and your video last time had many of them, but don’t worry they’re just tight friends and relatives 😂

    "Take on me... take me home !!!!! " This diner totally reminded me of the diner in the video for that awesome 80s song.... and you even looked in the garbage!! I was totally hoping you'd find a crumbled comic book that would be a portal to the 1980s in that trash. Would Ethan go back to the 80s ?? I think so.

    3:42 I just love this Paris Green/pink dollhouse pastel combo. It's so nostalgic and yet vibrant! This video is a precious model on how to channel the googie style back. I am sure it will moderately go back in style. There is an instance of a dinner revival on the strip mall I go to. Modern customers like the scenic experience, it adds to the enjoyment of the meal.
    I can see how the color theming is so scarcely present nowadays, misuse it and it looks anomalous on a room. The combo doesn't mesh so well in modern spaces, as many items like households appliances have sternly neutral colors and finition styles for the purpose of mass marketing... It just goes seamlessly on interiors having reflective metal or pieces of furniture with bright colors, with checkered floor.
    4:45 Yeah, these were done by copper rats, the most coldly practical and greedy of vandals.
    5:40 I assume these have to hold a lot of Poutine and maple syrup bottles for the road, otherwise "Made for Canadian Driving" is false advertisement
    7:29 I am pretty sure this Taz wasn't officially endorsed by Warner Bros. It's the privilege of moderately successful businesses, they get under the radar for copyright infringements like it. Warner Bros isn't as lawsuit happy as Disney with their toon characters, though. Would change if they had highly frequented amusement parks, I guess

  • @Polemodrome
    @Polemodrome 7 месяцев назад

    I understand. Urban exploring at night is simply unsettling, unenjoyable. Not only it feels unsafe, at a time when squatters of every kind retreat to their quarters, but also intrusive, as if you wormed yourself in like a classic burglar would. I did it once on an abandoned clinic about to be demolished... Even with friends, it's difficult to repress a sense of dread, undermining the exploration experience. As a filming standpoint, it sucks as well. You only have your own light source to showcase the scene. When the sun pours itself into an enclosed home, it sends games of light through barricades and skylights. These magnifies the poetic tragedy of the interiority, as if it hangs between a state of possible occupancy and void. Night is the realm of suspended chaos, and a vacant house doesn't need another layer of nihilism on top.
    I find it surprising to admit that as a night person, but this hobby is truly the best during the day.

    Hi! In the commerical food cooking industry the eqpt; ranges fryers etc are stainless with cast iron cooking tops. Pretty strong stuff that can be stripped down and sand blasted and many times brought back to life. Refer unit language = reach in refrigeration ( like a home door rype opening) walk-ins that are lined with shelves, etc, for larger things that need refrigeration. You walk-in to get product. The rest are referred to as coolers! Odd world is the restaurant business! That toaster may be a Toastmaster brand...$400.00 new....and easily repaired when needed! The unit with the milkshake mixers on the side was a soft ice cream dispenser...put ice cream in cup...add flavor or whatever, and then mix w/the mixer! You can find interesting things left behind in old restaurants....hotels etc. Have seen some with table cloths and tables set just sitting. Plates and complete kitchens that looked ready to cook!!
