This place has been completely cleared which suggests someone took the time to do it deliberately, not really 'abandoned' as such. The construction barriers and warning signs around the pool is the sort of thing a building contractor would do. It's likely that it's been sold and pending some kind of redevelopment.
Anyone who knows where the house is (I don't) might be able to see if there are planning applications etc. which might tell you a bit more.

Those cabinets in the laundry room would be easy to take out and refurbish for a new home.
