Even a cursory look at America’s spending in Afghanistan reveals the stupidity of its policy there. According to a recent report by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, the US invested roughly $946 billion between 2001 and 2021. Yet almost $1 trillion in outlays won the US few hearts and minds.
Here’s why. Of that $946 billion, fully $816 billion, or 86%, went to military outlays for US troops. And the Afghan people saw little of the remaining $130 billion, with $83 billion going to the Afghan Security Forces. Another $10 billion or so was spent on drug interdiction operations, while $15 billion was for US agencies operating in Afghanistan. That left a meager $21 billion in “economic support” funding. Yet even much of this spending left little if any development on the ground, because the programs actually “support counterterrorism; bolster national economies; and assist in the development of effective, accessible, and independent legal systems.”
In short, less than 2% of the US spending on Afghanistan, and probably far less than 2%, reached the Afghan people in the form of basic infrastructure or poverty-reducing services. The US could have invested in clean water and sanitation, school buildings, clinics, digital connectivity, agricultural equipment and extension, nutrition programs, and many other programs to lift the country from economic deprivation. Instead, it leaves behind a country with a life expectancy of 63 years, a maternal mortality rate of 638 per 100,000 births, and a child stunting rate of 38%.

@@Mu5tyLaghmani Exactly and they carried out so many war crimes in Afghanistan for 2p years and everyone stayed silent on that no one said anything to US even UN was silent but since the taliban took over it has been just like close to a week and today already UN is barking at taliban And other countries trying to Sanction taliban, don't want to recognise their govt. Despite them actually slowly starting girls schools, and gradually making life back to normal. Freezing Afghanistan's central bank's assets, running war propaganda and all their western medias trying to make them look like monsters already against them. US, UK, Australia, New Zealand all these countries are angrez country and they try their best to get a excuse to invade

Seriously I hate the their hypocrisy towards Muslim rulers, how they want to bring them down and sanctioned them.
One thing we as Afghans have acknowledged that Talibans will be sanctioned by the US and western allies, US frozen 9.5b Afghan reserves, maybe US will bombed all the Afghan airforce jets and fighter helicopters so that Talibans don't use it.
Talibans will be forced to sell Afghan military assets to Pakistan for a fraction of their cost, like they did in the 90s.
Our water reserves in the Dams will be released to the neighbours, causing draught and extreme poverty. Only China has money but Chinese are brutal with their dealings, they normally give money but takes more out of you, they have done that in Sri Lanka and Africa.
May Allah swt bring peace and development to the Afghans.
