So happy you've explained this in detail. I'm thinking to try out the Light Elegance brand but didn't know the difference between the primers.
Algorithm boost no jutsu! Thanks for making these videos and educating us.
My pleasure!
I love Tack, but really like the idea of a LE hard gel base coat in a bottle that PowerBond has.
If I have both, can PowerBond be used over Tack, or should I just skip Tack when I use PowerBond for adhesion?
Thanks Liz! Always helpful! 🌸
Happy to help!
Thank you Liz!!!
Thank you for the video
I like Tack.
Me too!
Love this! Can you please make a similar video for all of the LE top coats?
Definitely!!
@@TheNailHub thanks!!!
Can I use just the airbond with the 1-step lexi line? I am trying to cut down on curing time and layers. Will I have lifting issues if i dont use the cure bases?
I've been looking for a hard gel builder in a bottle for quick fills, and perhaps Powerbond may be something for me to experiment with - thank you for mentioning that aspect.
Thank you for the detailed info! I hope there's more of these types of videos for other brands available at The Nail Hub (and otherwise if that's possible!).
Yes I've used Powerbond that way before for a quick hard gel base layer/overlay. It works great on clients with more rigid nails. But if they have super bendy/damaged nails I would go with something more flexible (even with the updated formula).
Hi Liz, I’m still kind of confused sorry. I still use tips right now but my question is after etching the nail and cleaning up the cuticle area after I dehydrate the nail do I apply my artificial tip, then apply tack on top of it before I start using my hard gel? and last question do I use the hard gel as a base gel before building the nail or do they have a base gel I need to use and cure before I apply the hard gel. Hope I don’t confuse you 🙂any information would help thanks so much.
Hi there. So you would prep, cleanse/dehydrate, apply tip, then tack, then hard gel. No need for another base as Tack will act as your base coat.
Thank you soooo much Liz!!!! I finally understand 😅 you are a blessing ❤
Can Powerbond be used as a base for Jimmy gel? I have recently been having issues with lifting so I’m trying to troubleshoot what is causing this.
Hi I would recommend Tack instead of Powerbond. Powerbond is more rigid and better for very hard nails.
Can PowerBond be used over Tack, or is that just wasting (Tack) product?
Yes it can. Think of Tack as an adhesion promoter. It makes the nail extra sticky/tacky so you can use it under just about anything to increase adhesion. Just use sparingly. Most people overuse binders way too much.
