    After rewatching the Gel Fundamentals series and taking the Gel Chemistry/Gel Basics course, my nails have never been healthier with gel manicures lasting for weeks without lifting. Thank you Liz!

    Excellent vid. I’m a retired nail tech and of course, I still do my own nails (why pay salon prices) and you are doing a great job of bringing me up to speed on all new products and what’s happening on the nail scene - for which I thank you ….

    I love 1-Step and use it exclusively on my dry prepped nails with no issues. In salon we use Trinity so being an LE fan personally, this is my go-to. No bonders or dehydrators.

    Thank you for explaining what is referred to as a "rubber" base. I was completely confused!

    I saw on the 'New to Light Elegance' Facebook page that the Delicate Peach Jimmy Gel has been discontinued due to instability of the color/pigments but that they're coming out with some new colors this year.

    Hey! My nails are reallllly thin and flexible, and I'm trying to use gel overlays to support them. Whenever I use a hard gel, even over top of a rubber-type base, I get crazy lifting on the free edge in just a few days, as my super bendy nails just, pull away from the rigid gel. I don't intend to soak the overlay off, and I would actually prefer the product last as long as possible, but it seems I need the most flexible products I can find. Do you think Jimmy Gel is my best choice here, or would P+ QD base be better? What's the, like, longevity vs. flexibility tradeoff, there?

    Hi! I’m hearing lots of things about making sure your base coat isn’t too acidic? How is the ph of light elegance? I’m used to using Kokoist mega stick but it’s quite acidic!

    Hi Liz, I know you always say not to mix brands too much, but how compatible would you say Akzentz and LE is? Specifically their hard gels, for instance, if I want to use an LE glitter gel sandwiched in between two layers of Trinity. Should I expect any issues with that? Thanks!

    I also work with LE. What products are you´re favourites for nailbiters?

    • @TheNailHub
      @TheNailHub  6 месяцев назад +1

      It depends on the client and what they do with their hands (besides nibbling). I personally like hard gel for biters because it provides a smooth rigid feel that helps to deter biting, and it also isn't as easy to peel off. I use a flexible one like Light Elegance Builder or Extreme. Feels hard and durable after curing, but it does have a teeny amount of give for movement.

    Is it correct for the P+ QDbase to remain sticky after curing? 🤔

    • @TheNailHub
      @TheNailHub  5 месяцев назад

      Yes most gels remain sticky after curing. It’s called the inhibition layer. Check out my video on “why are my gel nails sticky”

    Liz, how do you keep the top coat shiny after applying cuticle oil? I find my top coat goes dull as soon as I rub in the cuticle oil.

    • @TheNailHub
      @TheNailHub  6 месяцев назад

      It’s probably just residue and will go away when you wash your hands.
