Your review helped me decide to get a shadow
I love how you're wearing a leather jacket and have bare legs. It's like, "I love my chest and arms, but f**k my legs!"
I was thinking the same thing but also love my arms but hands eh
Literally bought a 2007 twin to this one today. Needs a few small things but runs as good as the one in this video. Love it so far!
I had an 09 Shadow Spirit 750, absolutely loved that bike, really regret selling it after 5 years.
Good commuter and short hop bike.
Wish I could get the stock exhaust back on my VT1100C Shadow.
My 1st bike after a 5 year break. Got a 2018 shadow aero 750 for 4k in mint shape.
Thats my bike! Without a Mustang Seat w/backrest. Great review.
I'm about to pick up a used, 2008 Shadow for $1400. Need to get a new title for it, along with a seat and the turn signal switch replacement. Went down to Midland TX where it was at and test rode it. Fired up and hauled ass like a champ. I'm mainly looking at using it for distances too far for my bicycle, but too short for my pickup. Figure 200 mile trips would be ideal.
Looking at buying one almost identical to that one this weekend except it’s a 2007 but I’m EXCITED
Do you have it?
remember riding passenger on my dad's shadow when i was young, sounds exactly how i remember. i cant wait to get my own bike some day
Sean, the helicopter was checking the power lines. The do it all the time where I work because of the immense power my company uses. PP&L on the job baby!
Hey guys. I will sale my bike. Because some personal issues it has 1900 miles but I had it seat foe a year my battery die is new it might need a gasoline remove or something.
Thanks man. I watched like three or four video of yours about Shadow 750 before I purchased my first bike today - a 2006 Honda Shadow 750.
Just wanna let you know your video gave me the confidence in this machine. Thank you.
Cheers,
Terence
How was it
yea bro how was it? I got mine today (2008)
I got one of these from a friend, its being delivered in about an hour. Can't wait! It's my first bike.
I just picked up a 2009 for my first bike. She very forgiving easygoing I love her
I really want a Vulcan 650, but I'm thinking this will be my first bike because I can find them a lot cheaper.
I bought one of these yesterday and took it out for a drive.
This is not a beginner bike at all.
It's big, heavy, and hard to stop like a semi truck. I would only recommend it for a very experienced rider.
It looks a lot smaller in video and in online images than it actually is. I actually feel safer on my 1982 CM450 that delivers the same 45hp, but in a lot lighter and more controlable package.
Hello. I’ve enjoyed your bike videos for a while now. I’m 6’2” 230 lbs and in fairly good health at 60. I had a Honda Shadow 500 that I rode for a couple years back in the 80’s. I sold it and haven’t ridden since then - 35 + years. I’m itching to get back on a bike but I’m not sure where I should start and I don’t want to start off with a big, heavy bike. Any advice on what bike that would fit my frame that I could start with to get my “biker legs” back under me?
How does this compare to a Yamaha V Star 750 for a beginner male adult around 250lbs.
If anyone cares Iam 6.0 233. And It fits me fine.Great bike not only for beginers,if you want just chill and ride and ride and ride. All you have to do is change oil, tyres and put fuel in it.Very reliable and very good for driving around town.No problems on the highway too,can do 90 if you need it all day.
If you want to stand you can make it in to a great bobber,Ive seen so cool ones.
Thanks Sean, love the videos 👍🏼
+Sean Kerr I'm not ready yet still saving up some cash. But it's a beautiful bike. I'm hoping to get a shadow phantom, a spirit is my second choice. Where are you located?
hey my name is scott malzer just bought a bike just like this but wave bue yes they are great bike im 5 11 and fits me great the bike bike you have in video is sweet my bike all stock that's the way to keep it
One thing I'll say about my Shadow, I'm not a big guy, only weight 150, and I've had problems on the freeway and interstate in very hilly areas. She wasn't want to torque up to 70-75 in 5th gear on a somewhat steep hill, and dropping to 4th isn't an option since you'll be revving to the moon and have to drop your speed anyway. Love the bike regardless, they are great for everything until you're physically on the interstate, then you may want a bit more bike in some cases. That's just for me, mine doesn't like to "cruise" past 75, otherwise it'll start revving a little too much for comfort. Sort of a problem when the speed limit is 75-80mph for hundreds of miles!
Ironically, a year after posting this comment I took it from Vegas to Florida and back. Not recommended. I hated my ass so much I ended up selling the bike afterwards because I didn't ride it at all after that trip.
Nice! The drivers here also dissuaded me from continuing riding. I saw like 8 motorcycle accidents in just a few years and figured my next bike will be a dual sport I can ride the trails on the weekends. Used to have an xt225.
If you put a 38 or 37 tooth rear sprocket on, it is supposed to really improve on the interstate.
What kind of communicator do you use to record your videos. You dont get a lot of wind noise.. looking to buy ..
As a big guy 6'3 almost 300 lbs is this a plenty big bike? I've sat on a few bike like a iron 883 and it's way to small my knees are in my chest almost the smallest bike I've sat on and felt comfortable on was the sportster 1200 custom and that's mainly because of the forward controls
I owned one of these back in 2012-2013. I still regret getting rid of it. Right now I'm riding a 2005 Suzuki Katana 750. Got it for cheap but so far I've had to replace 2 airbox boots, the rear brake pads and I swapped out the tires because they were the ORIGINAL 15 YEAR OLD! dunlops. Just rode it for the 1st time on new Conti Motions today and its 110% more nimble now. Bike only has 5,500 miles on it. The tech told me my forks need rebuilt too 🙄.
Mine has 33K miles and it never needs a choke. Always starts right up and runs like a dream.
I love my Shadow.
This is exactly the kind of bike i want for my first one, now just to find someone to loan me a couple grand, and ill be on the road.
Like the comments about loud exhaust. They're good for the ego on short trips, but after a few hrs they just give you a headache. For extended cruising (like over 500 km/day) give me a quiet bike!
I got vance and hines on my shadow i think it sounds good but when you start cruising the sound fades away
I am 6’5 275pounds. Would it be a good beginner bike???
I am the lucky owner of a 1999 shadow 750 ace... forever👍👍👍
The good thing about it is that it's good, you know?
I usually love your reviews....BUT.....your review of this was insulting! I have had many motorcycles and my current one is a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit, Cobra pipes, rejet, floorboards....it is fast, comfortable and looks great. I am a 65 year old man and I approve of this machine!
Do you ever watch what you say before you post a video?
Because man.. you are one special type of person I’ll be the first to tell you
Im thinking of getting one if i can find one in good shape with a decent price tag. Once i get my full id want to upgrade from my rebel to something else
Worthy for long distance highway trips?
okay... so where can I get a job test riding motorcycles?
How much would this cost???
That is a vt750c2 there are a couple different shadows. The c2 has a really low seat height compared to the vt750dc. Im 400 lbs and i ride this c2 no problem
Hi SrkCycles, Ive been watching your videos for a while now, and I have been really liking the Shadow bikes, and I was just wondering would they be a good fit for me if I am 5ft3?
Did you ever get one ? I’m 5’4 and want one
@@thebootybandit6464 I'm buying a 750 shadow right now off a guy who is 5,7 and he wasn't a fan of it you might be very different idk just thought I would respond
@@thebootybandit6464 you might like viragos
Can't decide if Id like a Vulcan or Shadow.?
Would this be a good first bike for a 17 year old at 5' 9"' 140#
This particular bike in my opinion being a 400lbs man the vt750c2 is bigger or more stretched compared to the other couple models of the shadow
Where can I find a good one
Found same exact bike with 4k miles silver debating grabbing it for 2500
Would this be a good first bike for me, I'm a big boy 6ft 300 lbs? I can't decide on the shadow or v star 650.
You seem to be about my size, but yes. The Honda Shadow 750 is a great beginner bike. That's what I'm starting on, and it has more than enough power to get up to highway speeds. It's not too crazy powerful where I feel like I will lose control of the bike
How much?
I'm about 200 pounds and looking at a 750 how well do they hold up on the freeway I'm gonna be going on average 70mph? Does it feel like it's really working or does it hold its own pretty good?
broke boys outdoors I just got a 97 600 for next to nothing. I'm 6-2 215 pounds and that thing hauled me around all day at 90-plus. it's no power house but it was a lot of fun and had no trouble keeping up with my buddies Dyna's. I originally built it to sell it because I usually ride bigger bikes and have a few but this little bike is so much fun I'm keeping it. Even my friends that ride Harleys affectionately call it the Hardly. if that's 600 can pull me around all day I'm sure the 750 will be fine for you. the nice thing about a less powerful bike if you can really thrash it without killing yourself. if I gave my KTM 500 EXC the business it would turn around and bite my head off. if you're not drag racing or trying to impress anyone and just want to go out and put a smile on your face, I'd say it is the perfect bike.
Get some safety gear on man. Don't want you to get real messed up in a crash. Otherwise....yeah. Great bikes for sure!
Bro the shorts on a bike.. also loud pipes save lifes!!
Hey, so I'm looking to get my first bike. I'm 5'11" 300 lbs and I'm torn between a 2002 Hona Shadow Spirit 750 and a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 800. Can anyone give me some advice here?
shadow 750 or vulcan 900 , or vstar 650, would be good. the vulcan 800's are small
Go to a vtx 1300
What is the minimum height for a person to ride this bike ?
Where Get Those Mirrors. ?
Is this bike good for a guy that’s 5’8?
This might just be my next bike. Got a friend who might hook me up with one.
I'm 5'8" and 140#. Would the 750 be a good size or should I find something smaller?
Wyatt Brown I'm 5'11 & 200# and I ride it fine. My dad also is 5'10 & 165# and rides great. I have a video of it on my channel
Thanks. I'm also around 5'10" and just a bit heavier than your dad. I was wondering the same, so that's good to hear.
I’m 5.5 160 would this bike be a good beginning bike?
j bernabe
Yes, it will.
I'm 5'6" 150 pound 57 year old woman beginner would it be good for me?
About to buy one w 35000 miles is that alot of miles? Should still jave some life right?
MR NITRO GAMER
Too many miles. Find something with under 10K miles.
@@vesandreev8500 i seen one for sale with 127k guy said it ran great.
Is this bike rare ?
Nice bike
Trying to decide on my first bike. I'm almost 6'2 190 lbs. These Shadows seem to be very well reviewed - any other ones with similar displacement I should consider? Thanks!
+Mike Wiebe or b star 750 or Vulcan 900
That's probably a large power line inspection chopper. They also use low flying planes flying the length it. The chainsaw blade tree trimming helicopters are used by the power company to trim branches off the right of way for large power distribution lines.
They also use drug search helicopters, if you ever see on circling someone's house. It has an infrared camera on it to detect grow lights, as well as other penetration cameras. Done to intimidate and distract during a bust. I know this because I apparently have several trap houses in my neighborhood. First time I saw a drug helicopter making orbits around and repeated low passes over a house I was like WTF as well.

Going 80 mph is going 80 mph on every bike. Only difference is how fast you get there. If it's not fast enough then drop a few teeth on your sprocket. I do wonder if the 1100 engine fits the 750 frame tho
Nice biker clothes 🤣😂
I hope you never fall off
Why does it look lol or you are going helluva fast??
Where is our READY TO RIDE Bible verse, man?!?!?!?
lol
Anyway..
I'm looking at this, a beautiful Aero, or a 2006 Suzuki boulevard S50.
I want whatever will be QUIETEST of the 3. Anyone have suggestions?
When the Suzuki fires up its pretty POPPY and loud, but this is a light and consistent GROWL.
Is that normal?
Cant wait to buy one they are cheap on Craigslist
How much piston is there
wahh Taoo
750 cc, V-twin
just think how many Honda would have sold if they would have made it in 1300cc.
Nice bike for the money.
Shadows are fantastic
Nice
🔥
Im 5'7, do you think this bike is a good choice
I'm 5'4 an a half and 135 lbs... I have this bike, I handle it just fine, only thing that is kind of awkward is the weight which its like 480-500 but thats only if you drop it, or on dirt. its a bit of a challenge but I can manage. on pavement its easy peasey
Yeah, i just got a VLX 600. so it is a nice bike.
I'm 6'1 240lbs and fit on my Shadow Spirit 750 pretty good. Added some highway bars with pegs on it for extended cruising but even without those it was fine.
Andrew Overby How is the power, with your weight? I'm 6'5, 230. Thinking about purchasing one as a 2nd bike, but the "750" is scaring me away...
Honestly the power isn't its limiting issue, unless you are looking for a fast bike. Everyone I ride with has an 1100+cc cruiser and as long as they are just riding like a normal person I have no issue keeping up with them, and it cruises just fine at 60/65mph. For you I would think its physical size might be more of an issue. They do have forward control kits out there for them, might be worth looking into if you are interested in a 750 Shadow.
might as well upgrade to a 1100 cc shadow only difference is 20 pounds
Michael C this review is good for me as 1100 cannot be ridden on a UK A2 licence.
I just passed the msf course and I'm looking at 2008 honda shadow 750 with 21000 miles on it. However it is shaking a lot (I can see the gas tank shaking a lot) while it is idling. The owner told me that it is vtwin engine and it is normal. He told me that once you go, it is okay. I do not have anyone to ask about this. So is it okay to buy it? Thank you.
palanangel it obviously does shake but I have one and the shaking in idle is not noticeable when sitting on it. This isn't a Harley that's uncomfortable while sitting in idle. Just make sure it starts and rides well from an ice cold engine.
Tyler Sanders. Thanks for the reply. I decided to pass this one and look for something else.
palanangel yeah I got my 2006 shadow with 7k miles for 2100 and haven't had problems yet. I think I got a good deal and got lucky though. Be ready to spend more like 2500.
Loud pipes save lives
Aerial line inspection. The reason for the helicopter.
Don't worry that helicopter is small, made for that girl wanting to upgrade from a parachute.
Great video. One piece of advice is to watch the lip smacking... kinda distracting.
Dude right
Sounds like wanna suck in something haha
my '03 has 1500 miles :)
shame on you
My 05 has 105,000 miles
I'm 6'3" 300lbs would this be a good size?
i would go bigger, like a boulevard c50, or yamaha v star 950
Ok thanks!
Also check out the Kawasaki Vulcan 900.
Too tall and fat to enjoy. I own this bike in the Aero version and I'm 5' 7" and 160 pounds. The bike fits like a glove. But, at 300 pounds it would look like you had a mini bike stuck up your ass. :)
I have a 2003 with 9050 miles that spent most of its life in a crate
I'm back biking after a 10 year hiatus (wife gave me permission if I reduced my weight to under 200lbs, I did).I had a Kawasaki 750 then and it was just perfect. Now I've been given permission to buy a Honda Shadow. Please help me to explain to my wife that this is just a pussy bike for beginners and I just want a decent machine.
Man up and buy a bigger bike, a VTX1300 you can find for the same price as a 750, she probably couldn’t tell the difference anyway
Get a new wife
Too heavy for an entry bike, but very easy to ride.
There is no way you are over 200 lbs. !
FYI Way to much bike for entry level.......
Wearing shorts?? good example!
Loud pipe will save your life .let's everyone know your coming.
that is dirt cheap..here they fetch.£4.000.thats $ 8.000 about
lets you and me work out a deal and we ship some of these bikes to you and then you sell them where you live?
I’m not sure why they can’t make them loud like a Harley
Great bike just gutless.like most v twins.
I fucking hate loud bikes. Motors should rumble and bumble like a boat.
... for a girl . haha
15 my dad just got a 750 shadow and I gonna take it for a spin and probably going to kill myself
