      If you have 100% stock internals i wouldn't go much above 450hp as a daily driver. But I've seen them handle a little more occasionally. It really depends on the tune and whether or not you mess with the timing.

    • @midnight347

      @@KyrieEleisonMaranatha keep rpm moderate, give it the best fuel possible and don't run too much boost. The key to reliable power is an efficient setup i.e. headers, cams, etc etc make 450+ on 10 psi you're probably good with a good tune if you watch your rpms.

    • @KyrieEleisonMaranatha
      @KyrieEleisonMaranatha Год назад

      @@midnight347 nope, the number one cause for engine failure is improper ring gap. You can take the pistons out and regap the rings to 30 thousandths and you can run a 4.6 2v well into the 800hp range. • @midnight347
      @midnight347 3 года назад +1

      @Raphael anything is gonna have best numbers with turbos turbos are more efficient. I love turbos and would def go turbo before centri but the tvs blowers are badass. I think it would be awesome to have a 2v with a gen3r vmp blower by using the department of boost kit that allows use of terminator blowers. Not sure if anyone has done that but it would be sick with trickflow heads and cams on a 2v.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 3 года назад +1

      @Raphael what I meant by my comment is sometimes it isn't just about maximum power. How the power comes on and the overall power curve and the way the car feels and drives is very important on a street car imo. Not that you can't have a badass power curve with a turbo because sized correctly you can for sure. But no matter what it'll never have that instant power feel like the positive displacement blowers do. They literally feel na...like you have a badass big block under the hood lol. There is always a split second of hesitation between going WOT and getting into power with a turbo no matter how well it's sized etc. Those are all things that need to be considered with a street car. If it's an all out race car yes turbos prob make more sense they will get more ultimate power per psi.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 Год назад

      @@P71ScrewHead on a street car definately. On a race car either work but turbos are better for all out going as fast as possible per psi with nothing else considered. On a street car the modern tvs blowers are hard to beat. They're extremely efficient and get good mpg when you're not in boost. They can go 100+k without an oil change or a rebuild. They fit under stock hoods with 0 mods (even the 2650) what's not to love? They're just plain badass. My gen3r on my 07 gt500 did 740/733 to the tires on 93/boostane around 19 psi. That was also through 4.10s which soak up power.. the torque is 700+ from 3300-5300 and its still doing 600+ torque at 6500 redline lol. The 5.4/5.8 + a tvs is a ridiculous torque monster and I love it! So nasty but with 4.10s even 325/50/15 et street r have a hard time holding it in 2nd gear lol.

Everyone acts like you can't make power with a 2v smh. It's easier to get to big power with a 2v than it is an old pushrod 5.0. What I mean is you need an aftermarket block to hit those numbers reliably with an old 302 whereas the 2v only needs forged rods and pistons.
