    I have done a bunch of these heads with cnc porting and flowed them with good flow numbers. The heads need more than just bowl blending work to make high hp.

      The head with just bowl work has been mid 7s in the 1/4. We do a more elaborate version of the head as well that has been 7.0x at 199. I feel the bowl work only head wouldn't have slowed it down much. The turbocharger is our primary air pump here.

    Do you know if the mainline of Dyno reads higher than awd dynojet?

      I do not have first knowledge of that. I saw someone test the main line 2wd hub dyno. It was between Mustang and dynojet numbers. I'm not sure if that would correlate to the awd stuff or not.

    just pulled mine all apart, had my trutrac for 7 years, I had the exact same thing happen, drivers side gear wore into the case and destroyed it

    I have a question for you.. I just got a dyno tune on my Focus ST. With the mods I have I should be in the ballpark of 350 HP +/-10. Mine only got 313 on a Mustang dyno but I noticed all 4 rollers were moving. Would this effect the results?

      The dyno will have a calibration for both 4wd and 2wd. As long the dyno is in the 4wd calibration, the number will be similar, but there will be additional energy lost from rotating the other 2 wheels. Assuming you watched this video, you understand that there are sometie significant variations in dynos alone.

    Big block Chevys make a lot of torque at low rpm, you need to start the dyno test at 1500 rpm

    Why that manifold for only 850 wheel? Usually people keep stock or boss manifold Until 1,100+ they go plasmaman intake

      850whp is where we ran the car for testing. Around 1k, we couldn't keep it hooked up. On that setup, it would make 1k at 20-22psi. We would race it at 40+. Roughly 1800hp at the crank with the s494 maxxed out.

      @DikeLover it went 7.67@182MPH @3900lbs with that setup. The current setup makes significantly more power, but hasn't been down the 1/4 yet.

    180 degree headers only sound good with Y pipes or true 8 into one. Otherwise the exhaust pulses fire all 8 into the same frequency and all you hear is 4 at once and it sounds like SHIT.

    After joining your channel... I snooped around a bit and saw this! That hull style has always been a favorite of ours… we have a few (4) vintage hulls, one of which was a new Sanger Picklefork, suspended from the ceiling in the fiber shop. In the 70's we set the SDBA Unblown Gas Flatbottom Record in a boat named the " Cole Black "... it stood for a long time for records back then, obviously it was a Cole V-drive... lol. Sorry to chime in, I guess it still cranks me up. I've already found great content here and I am off for now, we are done autoclaving a load of composites before the weekend starts, so I'll be back! By the way... congratulations to you, the team, and especially the driver, on the record, and what hopefully is one among the many feathers in your hat's when you look back someday my friend!       @@ForceEngineering I hired 4 gents like myself to help me build it ( in an acceptable time frame) after designing it with the same hand picked team. The project finished up,and online May fifth of 23. It's a longtime dream seeing original sketches come to life... and our " skins " beimg at the forefront of competition...       @josharuni547 as with most things, the transmission life depends on the combo. If it was setup with an overly aggressive clutch, and a sticky tire, it's life would be shortened. As for the blower, I'm not sure. I dont try to sell blower kits, I just tune a few of them

    I have a 69.5 Maverick ive had for 30 plus years. Yes, i think they are cooler than a mustang! I swapped in a 408 cubic inch windsor and c4 trans. Thank you for your video, thats one awesome Maverick!

    pretty solid #’s for a nice little cruiser. These cars are pretty light to begin with so even 300hp in something like this would feel pretty damn quick, especially if you added some 3.73’s or 4.10’s.

    My first car. bought a 01 silver rt when I was a teen back in 2010 and then bought one identical to this one in 2017, except it was stick. I want another one but my wife will hate me for it. maybe after I pay off this Durango and the kids grow up I'll buy another. Hopefully it doesnt get too popular by then. when I had mine I only knew of one other guy that had one but his was a Chrysler Sebring.

    Most likely back pressure due to using stock exhaust manifolds. Not the air filter.
