Thank you very much. For comfort, I recommend a high-density foam, or even an injected foam, like the ones found in car backrests. This is perfect, as it is a thin seat. If you use a very soft one, or a very hard one like this Eva I made, it may become uncomfortable.
Thank you very much, I'm happy to know, do you intend to make other styles. This was ordered by a client. Thank you for following my work, you are helping me build and realize a dream.
Hello thank you, I m using paint suitable for leather, but on this natural leather it's OK to.use paint for crafts, and for protection, you can misturize the leather frequently, or Apply a vernish. I've even applied outomotive verniz and it worked. However, always moisturize frequently
I am making a chopper and I'm doing almost the whole project by hand. Now I found the perfect video for making the seat myself! Please tell me if I have the correct materials: 1.2mm sheet metal, 2.5mm leather, contact cement, 25mm EVA foam, heavy waxed thread?
Hi how are you. I am very happy to know that my video is helping. I imagine your chopper would look really cool. The list of materials is correct. You can see that there is no secret to assembling the seat. It just requires patience and care. Good job
I believe it works both ways, gluing before and molding after and molding before and gluing after. However, if you are gluing and molding at the same time, you need to be careful not to get the leather too wet and disrupt the glue.
come on, the leather you will need is 1.5 to 2.0mm thick, the foam I used the EVA type which is very rigid, the glue buy the best quality contact glue you can find there, sewing thread waxed with beeswax, and I believe that's all. In the case of arts and drawings you will need embroidery pins, I believe that with these materials you can already do it
Great tutorial! Thanks very much for sharing. My only question is: what are you using to soften the leather at 07:14, is it just water, or something else?
Hey bro that’s great.. darn good work..! Mind sharing what size your leather is? (Top/bottom). Thanks for your time and sharing your work with us all.. I’d really like to try and make one. Doesn’t look to hard I think I can do it. Maybe not as nice but I’ll try till I get it. Any advice you’d give for me? Doing MC seats? 🤠👍🏽🫘God bless and be safe out there.
Hey friend, how are you? Firstly, thank you very much for watching and enjoying the work, this is very rewarding for me. The thickness of the lower and upper leather is 2.5mm or as many say 25lines. I really believe you can do it, as this was the first one I diz in this style, it's very easy, you Just need to be careful. I made this one for a motorcycle from a motorcycle customizer here in my City Ribeirão Preto, the name of this company is brukutu. If you have any question, I am at your disposal. A big hug and stay with good
Thanks for reply...being as I'm learning to do seats and have no talent for drawing,do you sell your art work that you put on ,also where do you get your seat pans? Thanks again
Generally I always try tô make a unique work, a work with characteristics specifically mine, so I create everything myself. I don't like taking ready-made artwork, so as not to run the risk of having two identical or similar works circulated by different artist. With this I manufacture the shape of the bench. I fold the sheets, I cut welding, the art I create from scratch and by hand at the beginning you will experience difficulties, but I advise you not to give up, because with persistence you will be able to do the work. Magnificent, and with your own style and identity, this is the advence I give you
How do you press that leather down around the seat to shape it without it burnishing the leather or leavening marks where your really putting some pressure down?? Everything I make I have that problem. Please dude anything will help.🤠👍🏽🫘
Hey my friend, the tática I used was to wet the leather a lot with water. Regarding polishing it the secret is to use wood and plastic spatula or even a bone material, which is very smooth. In my case, there where no marks, as the leather was already very smooth. What type of leather do you use to make it
very Nice
Very beautiful
Thanks 👏👏👏
I did it! Your demonstration was perfect and easy to follow. I didn't add any artwork, but the seat came out great anyway. Thank you!

Did you glue the top leather to the seat before shaping started?
I believe it works both ways, gluing before and molding after and molding before and gluing after. However, if you are gluing and molding at the same time, you need to be careful not to get the leather too wet and disrupt the glue.
@@Lucassoares.Lordbone regular contact glue?
Yes, I use solvent-based, but water-based also works. After it is molded and sewn into shape. it doesn't come loose anymore.

hey thank you very much. this leather that I used in the 7:14 is a 2.0mm thick sole, and yes I used water to shape it. The process is very simple.
@@Lucassoares.Lordbone Alright, great! And thanks for the quick reply. All the best! 🙏🏻💪🏻
Wow I’m scared to ask how much one of those would cost
Hi, the customer already had the shape, I just covered it with leather, in this case it cost $500.00, something around U$100.

Hello here EVA Champs is the same material used in swimming items, and boards for spinning training in gyms
I was wondering what you would charge for a seat like that?
Hello, I intend to make more of them, as many people liked the model. I intend to sell around 200 U$
Awesome work.I love it.Thank you for sharing video ..what weight was the leather?

Hi how thick steel do you use for the pan? 1,2mm or 2 mm?
This one is a little more than 2.0mm as it does not have any structural reinforcement. Just the curvature. With 1.2mm, the ideal is to reinforce
@@Lucassoares.Lordbone ok, but 2mm is ok white out reinforcment?
Nice job by the way.
@@TheHarley80801 I believe so. place the lower fixing screws as close to the center of the board's curvature. there will be no problem.
Insomma
Where did you get the cushion?
The pad is EVA material used in judo treatment and children's mat. It's a kind of foam.
What was the liquid?
This is water
Nice but there is space for improvement...
Yes, I agree with you, this was the first one I did. I intend to do more to improve myself.
Quel epaisseur de cuir ?
Não entendi. What?
Leather thickness?
2,5mm de espessura
I used bufalo leather with 2,5mm thickness
