  • Billy Butcher Threatens Dr.Volgelbaum Scene - The Boys S2
    The Boys is set in a universe where superpowered Vought International, which ensures that they are titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control, and the Seven, Vought International premier superhero team. The Boys are led by Billy Butcher, who despises all superpowered people, and the Seven are led by the egotistical and unstable Homelander. As a conflict ensues between the two groups, the series also follows the new members of each team: Hugh "Hughie" Campbell of the Boys, who joins the vigilantes after his girlfriend is killed in a high speed collision by the Seven's A-Train, and Annie January / Starlight of the Seven, a young and hopeful heroine forced to face the truth about the heroes she admires.

    There’s the classic Billy Butcher I remember. This wasn’t a threat, it was a promise and you could feel it. Great acting by Karl Urban!

    The best scene in the whole show. Butcher flipped a switch once the daughter came in. That laugh sinister, but that sipping of the tea was genius

    My favorite part is that butcher isn't playing around anymore he can't live happily ever after with his wife so he's gonna make damn sure that dr.voulgebaum can't either

      Butcher's father made him into a monster. Doc hardly did a thing.

      DWN KAOMWN oh but he did. If not for Homelander's childhood in a lab, he would've become less of a monstrosity and somewhat of a hero. Billy's wife was the last straw that connected Butcher to humanity, after she was gone, he became his father again.

    You can tell shes American, she poured the milk before the tea. But Butcher still kept up the act of being polite and normal by drinking it.

      Traditionaly milk went first to prevent a hor tea from breaking your precious china. Even when its not the case today, someone still feels its more posh that way. Also you are flexing with your five generations old china by that.

      @Gyro The man blew up a house with little Teddy inside, and just came from nearly killing his own father a few hours before. I'm pretty sure he would in fact do what he said he would do if he would cross those lines, especially with his own father by his bare hands.

    For those that were still thinking he was a hero or anti-hero, this scene firmly puts Butcher in villain status. Sure, he works with the good guys, and goes against other villains, but that does not make him any less of one.

      I think what the show really excels at is showing just how much butcher and homelander are alike which also showing just how their environments and childhoods turned them into monsters

      Butcher is still a selfish guy tho. He used his team to find his wife, he justifies needing to find his wife for killing supes. He ain't a good guy but honestly no one in the show really is in terms of everyone has their hands dirty.

    In Butcher's defense, it's too late for Volgelbaum to make amends, he only felt regret after the fact. He deserves to get threatened by Butcher.

      yeah but his family was innocent, like he said, it wasn't about his lifes it was about theirs. That being said I agree he deserves to feel the pain of loss and the horror he feels is pretty satisfying, but his family, their KIDS didn't deserve to die.

      @@shady8045 agreed, but that being said, he is kinda using them as a shield to avoid going out and taking responsibility for his actions. Being a parent does not excuse you from the consequences of what you intentionally did with little to no regret. If anything, V had this coming and by hiding behind his family he is only making it worse for them. You can spend all the time in the world with them, but it won't stop the hammer from dropping; and the closer you hold them to you, they are likely to get smashed along with you. Case in point
