I've known Mark for over 20 years! He was building my RS Turbo and Cosworths engines out the back of his mum and dad's house when he first formed MAD. He's and absolute legend and one of the best engine builders and mappers I've ever known. Huge respect and fantastic to see He's still going as strong as ever. 🔥👍😎

That's a hell of a car mate, I'm glad you went Motec and an EFR. I've just finishing building my car too (over a year ago but still feels fresh) and it's an amazing feeling. 520kw in such a light car is bonkers, don't be tempted to chase more power, the response looks great and 520kw is plenty! My car is probably similar with 630kw in a 1550kg car building around response and street driving. Hang on to it mate you should be really happy with what you have achieved!
Team Spintop Its an emtron ECU thats in it, mate. Yes, i am definitely holding onto it....im going to get a full underside restoration done on it and a respray.i just got bigger front APs fitted (362mm) and have new 18” Rays to go as the 17s are too small for the new brakes! Mark has also tweaked the map , the boost and the water/meth, so jt is running more mid range now, than before. I have a mint condition 6 RS, also, which is running a lot of old school japanese mods and an HKS 2.3 bottom end running 420/420 on the short ratio box, so im very blessed to have the best of both worlds! Funny how he's moved onto Evo's,just like i did,seems like a natural progression for many old RS owners. I still own an Evo to this day,and i will NEVER sell it,they are a dying breed of car,and a car that still gets loads of attention wherever i go with it.

Wow! I passed my test in 1995. Cars like this were just starting to show up. Along with the Subaru Impreza. I’ll never ever be a super car guy. Classic cars like this are far more drivers cars than these modern day all electronic driving aids. Fantastic video!

That's what I like to see, a Evo with a proper amount of air under it, these stanced Evos are just for posers, you can't drive them as you should on bumpy B roads.
20 year old mitsubishi can build the engine to suit 900bjp with different turbo and cams. Well engineered chassis and cleaned up back in the day. This man has serious knowledge on race engine building the level of this build speaks volumes of knowledge he has. Hats off mark
Mark Shead used to happily give me advice with any problems I had with my Ford Escort RSTurbo back in the day. Always a gent. Nothing appears to have changed. Great guy.

Ex brother in law took me for a drive in his Evo 4 15 years ago, 500bhp, the sense of speed was insane, I'll never forget it, been in my bosses current R8 800bhp no comparison, Evo all day

Hey Ricky, love your videos, enjoying all the evo ones, I've recently bought a very low milage 2.0 lancer sport, with the twin cam 16 valve engine. It handles like its on rails, turns in so well, the engine is interesting, it's quite powerless under 4k revs, but really wakes up after 4.5k, surprisingly well, very similar to a vtec power range, it got the 5 speed gearbox, first thing to address is the motorway noise, at 70 plus the engines note is high, its crying out for a 6 speed box or maybe an exhaust change, it's as stock as they come at the moment with only 59k on it. Its the wagon so it looks pretty cool too.
You should do more video's of Mark Shead tuned car's.Guy's a legend,love how he has all the spec in his head just ready to answer any question you have,and he was cool as a cucumber in the passenger seat!!!
my car pisses me off at times when comes to fixing it changing parts bloody might mere but once done, n behind the wheel about to rip through a tunnel its all worth while...
Mark was tuning cossies in ‘94, was always in fast ford magazine, max power etc. he knows his beans, Christ he’s got some rattle on him. I don’t know where he gets his enthusiasm from.
