I am on my 4th Polaris sportsman. I upgrade every few years. I have the exact same Polaris. 2021 Polaris sportsman 570 trail in black. I absolutely love it!!!! Smooth acceleration, plenty of power, and mostly it's extremely reliable. I've never had any problems with my 4 Polaris Sportsmans. Not one single problem!
That’s great!! Looking to buy a 570 here soon, we’ve had one before but the belt constantly broke because the dealer put on bigger tires and it just couldn’t handle it, what is your trick to driving them to avoid breaking belts?
Hey dirt trax love your content, been watching for a few years now. Just became a permanent resident of Canada and my wife bought me the outgoing 570 premium. Absolutely love it so far! Hope to see you all out on the trails some day
Just picked up my new 570 Trail two days ago, love it! can't say enough good things. Regards to your EPS being too much assist, I read in the manual you can dial it back.
I’ve ridden mine through the break in, and I’ve noticed it needs brush guards before hitting the trails. Polaris does some silly things, but it’s by far the best in class.

Great video! I had a 570 a few years ago and it was surprisingly fast and powerful! But I had problems the engine breaking system. The engine breaking was so strong, It felt like you were going to be thrown over the front of the machine! It also had a wicked bad engine surge that was hard to deal with. So I sold it and bought the Sportsman xp 1000 version. The best thing I ever did! Even though I surly didn't need more speed or power...The 1000 was a dream to ride! Engine breaking was perfect, not one bit of surge, and truly the most easily "controllable" power I've ever ridden with. I'm sure many wont believe that, because it makes no sense lol. But it's the 100% truth! I'm guessing Polaris dealt with those two issues? Because I've not seen anyone complaining, like we all did with the year machine I had bought. I think it was a 2016 model I had. I Love the look of this new 570! And it seems to be as good as it looks! I may consider this one for my next ATV now. Even though that front rack is just plain silly! I'm sure we can make some kind of better hing for it ourselves easy enough. Thank's Guy's!
I've thought the very same things about mine, but I'd add to the small list of "gripes".... 1) No rear trunk under rear rack any longer & 2) Cupped area around gas cap can hold dirt/mud.
I bought a 2024 sportsman 570 back in April, now I will say it was a great machine however, there were times I thought it was just a little bit underpowered… it’s heavy and put my fat ass on it and it’s even heavier… so I traded it in for a sportsman 1000… 2024 hunt edition. Exactly what I was looking for… absolutely insane power whenever you want it. Still all the great features, as well as comfortable…. I like it! I really really like it. However, it is not a cheap ATV..
Picked mine up a couple weeks ago. Coming from a 20yr old 400, it's amazing! Suspension is great, plenty of balls and steering to me is perfect..yes the front rack is a joke, but I barely use it. Mount a lockable waterproof box with grip pros to the back and gtg!
Like I’ve said before the sportsman should have a ride command option. I’m sure they can figure something out to fit it in the pod. They can make the screen smaller or the pod a bit bigger so it can fit.

I hope my explanation is right and enough precise. sorry for my english, I'm french !
I am leaning to the CanAm based on the rack alone. I will be interested when you can do the comparison to their 570. I use the racks a lot on my 2001 Sportsman and they are very rigid plastic mounted to the body. Not cheap flimsy plastic. I am upgrading because I need PS as I am getting older and feel a long ride in my shoulders. Not going to use at high speed though so this over-assist probably won’t be a factor for me, but again CanAm offers DPS adjustable assist. I appreciate your thorough reviews.
Went with the can am myself, 200+ miles later it's been awesome. Motor is a beast, front suspension is a tad on the soft side but otherwise solid chassis.
@@anthonyp1190 Thanks for responding. Did you get the 570 or the 450? I am thinking that if I go CanAm I might get the 450 as it is actually more powerful than my existing Polaris, 38 hp vs 33.
Agree the front rack sucks. And loss of storage in front. All though battery and coolant gets easier access. Why did the get rid of the rear storage? Made my buddy that works his not want to buy another.
Thanks the video! Need help- between this and a 2022 king quad 750 se+. My riding is adventurous trail riding, not mudding or on a ranch.. any suggestions? Thanks!
I like the new front suspension but I'll have to wait until a customer brings one in to check it out. For that same 9K, I have a Brute force 650 and a 750 for plowing and towing, 2 Honda atc 200's, a pair of Honda atc 250's, and a Polaris Xplorer 300 2stroke 4 wheel drive. After the exhaust melting the plastic side cover and the bottom of the seat on an earlier model 570 and not recalling them, and an 03 Sportsman 600 that was released with a bad ignition system and also not recalled, I've ridded a bunch of Polaris atv's but wouldn't buy a new one.
In the market for a new ATV, and I need your honest opinion. I have boiled my options down to: Grizzly 700 SE Polaris 570 Ultimate Trail Which would you go for - and why? Really like both, the only thing holding me back on the Polaris is the reliability and longevity concern.
I know you aren't asking me, but you chose two great models. Yamahas are bullet proof. Polaris rides nicer and handles better. Both will treat you good. Flip a coin! 🤣
I have a 2021 Sportsman 450 and the belt housing gets full of water very quickly. Just going through puddles will be enough to have the belt start slipping. I think the housing is cracked or something
Very good review and I like the channel. Looking to get my first Polaris (been a Yamaha guy). Can you please convince Polaris to bring back the 850 Scrambler with PS & Fox shocks :-)
Can we get an 850 sportsman review? It has been years since we’ve seen one. How about an outlander 850 vs sportsman 850 sp? Can am since has revamped their 850
----- I have 2 older sportsman 570's I purchased second hand. One manual is has 2015 sportsman 570 on its cover and the other manual has 2014 Sportsman 570 efi or sportsman 570 eps on its cover. Is there a marking on the machines (or in the manuals) that would help me figure out what variation of 570 family they are? Thank you in advance for your answers I sincerely appreciate them.
But did they change the rear suspension setup? i have a 2018 570 and the suspension is so soft that on the stiffest setting i can bottom it out very easily. Not to mention you throw someone on the back and it squats terribly
I'm so torn between this exact model and a new Honda Rubicon. I hear so many stories of polaris being poorly made, but is the honda reliability just smoke and mirrors. I own an 87 honda trx350, so the switch is going to be major, but which is the better machine for long term ownership? I ride mostly trail and railbed in Eastern Ontario and want to take it to remote lakes to fish. I'm never going to snorkle it and probably won't be mudding in deep swamp. Help dirt trax?? Which one can I trust the most?
Never driven an ATV!, never likely to!, but thoroughly enjoyed this brilliantly professional and authoritative review, well done and thanks 👏👏👏💪💪👍🏴
Sharp looking machine . Great review . A good way to confuse customers is have 7 trim levels of one unit when 3 would do . 1) work 2) trail and 3) speed . Yamaha has the best power steering in the power sports industry . The grizzly is comparable to the 570s in HP they say but as far as every thing else the grizz is better . Fit N finish , 4x4 diff lock , and reliability . The price is right for the 570 but polaris machines are a price point strategy to keep you coming in for calculated service and predictable repairs . My XTR was waaaaaaaaay more expensive but I am banking on longevity , integrity , and a company that pleases the customer base .
I"d almost accept the poor front rack design and hope for a software update for the power steering but I'm also a big guy and wonder if I shouldn't be on an 850 for the increased capacity...
Mine makes a clunking noise when I hit the throttle the dealer mechanic said that's design like that I don't believe that anybody knows what that noise is let me know
Are Polaris as reliable as a Yamaha or Honda? What problems does this model typically have? I’m considering my first atv purchase and the Japanese bikes seem to be way down on power.
Can you ride two people safely on this? I just saw this at the dealership today, they say no. They suggest the sportsman touring 570 premium for 2 people... would love to hear your opinion!
Its a very good review, but you didn't mention that not only is the front lid hinge flimsy , but the storage compartment under it is not water tight as a result, my buddy has the 570 trail, and all his stuff gets wet in that compartment, it makes him livid, thats unacceptable for an ATV, WTF were they thinking ??
Back in 2019 I was in the hunt for a new ATV and I was going to go with Polaris. I went to the dealer in Sudbury and want to see things first hand after researching online. There was 2 criteria that I wanted...STORAGE and 2up seating. I like to go and film wildlife and explorer, I wanted the biggest boxes that would go on the bike for keeping my camera gear safe from the elements. The salesperson shows me the largest box that goes on a unit and I was impressed. I say to the salesman so this hard box goes onto the back of the 2up seat, he looks at me and says no, he goes on to explain that all the big boxes don't fit the 2up on the back. Well needless to say I went to CANAM and found exactly what I wanted and have been happy ever since. I wonder if Polaris have addressed this in 2021.
does anyone know if this thing could handle pulling a couple of tons of trailer around relatively level consolidated ground at really slow speed? Looking at buying one to free up my pick up for the Mrs and occasionally tow our trailers out of our yard literally 50m to the local recycling centre to tip waste. Thanks in advance.
I have a 450 and have used it to haul logs in from the woods for splitting and such. A couple tons iss no big deal so long as it's not loaded too front heavy.
I'm wondering about the 570 being powerful enough to plow a heavy snow? Anyone have experience with the 570 plowing? I know there's videos, but wondering pros and cons from anyone.
I am sure it is more than powerful enough to plow with. My father-in-law used to plow with a little Suzuki 250 KQ and it never had an issue up here in the Alaska winters.
These quads are bulletproof. They handle mud, snow, sand, and pulling trailers without complaining one bit. Great quad. Only competition is a can am outlander
Man, I wanted to watch your video, but your voice was so soft and I didn't want my volume that high at work... might want to get a wireless mic for your camera next time 🙂
How fast are you going? Is water coming up over the front rack? If so, it's getting in the factory snorkel. If not you may have a poor seal at the clutch housing. Being so new I would take off the seat and check the snorkel for signs of water intrusion (mud). If you don't see any take it to the dealership for warranty repairs.
Hi Dirt Trax ! love your videos, thanx a lot ! actually i own 2 Yamahas : a 450 eps Kodiak 2019 and a 700 eps Grizzly 2019. I want to change for a model between these two ones. for me the 450 is perfect for its weight and its size, but i feel it is not enough powerfull and suspensions not so ideals for long trails. the Grizzly is much better for that, and the engine 686 mk2 is absolutely perfect, great torque and enough horse power for me, but i feel the Grizzly very big and heavy. I am wondering what to buy next between the Kodiak 700 eps, the Can Am Outlander dps 570 T (one seater short model) or the new Polaris Sportsman 570 with Ohlins shoks. I am in Fance so i dont know if it is exactly the same models than USA and Canada... can you tell me some things to help me to choose between these 3 models, and why one or one else ? thank you a lot !
What is Polaris thinking the belt exhaust it a terrible design you can’t even go through water without your belt getting wet go to 2:10 in the video to see that I’m talking about
not what id call a "redesign" more like a mild refresh. also the sportsman 570SP (that you yourselves have tested in the past) already had the dual a arm front end, the only difference now is the lower arms are arched, but it seems like you keep referring to it as if its a new thing when it is not. not the first oversite and im sure not the last, but i DO like the videos or i wouldnt watch them :)

Sharp looking machine . Great review . A good way to confuse customers is have 7 trim levels of one unit when 3 would do . 1) work
2) trail and 3) speed .
What’s your favorite four wheeler trail riding?
Think you're gonna get some different opinions around our office so it would definitely depend who you ask.
We had the shake weight and now we have the shake rack
Im curious between this and the canam outlander 650 mossy oak edition.
650 has a bit more punch, but both ATVs are pretty awesome.
whats the difference with the 2 different 4x4 modes?
I’m thinking of buying a 570 do y’all think they will do a recall on the front rack I don’t want it to fall of while riding or storing my stuff lol
I have those tires on my yamaha bruin 350 they're a dream
So what atv's got worse after an upgrade?
Will you do a review on the 2021 Polaris sportsman 850 Highlifter edition
We don't have one in the calendar this season, but we can put in the request and see if we can get one from Polaris for spring.
that's why i'd get an eps with utility package. steel racks
@@1985cjjeeper Thanks pal.
@@27Zangle Thank you!
Been plowing with a 570 for three years. No problems
These quads are bulletproof. They handle mud, snow, sand, and pulling trailers without complaining one bit. Great quad. Only competition is a can am outlander
Thanks for the video !!! 🤘
I have a 2020 sportsman 570. What type of tires and rims are those?
Stock.
Man, I wanted to watch your video, but your voice was so soft and I didn't want my volume that high at work... might want to get a wireless mic for your camera next time 🙂
Nice ride
What is the plastic bottle by the tire ?
Coolant reservoir
My Polaris 450 2021 is really weird, I hit a 5 inch puddle and the belt slips like crazy, do y’all have any advise?
How fast are you going? Is water coming up over the front rack? If so, it's getting in the factory snorkel. If not you may have a poor seal at the clutch housing. Being so new I would take off the seat and check the snorkel for signs of water intrusion (mud). If you don't see any take it to the dealership for warranty repairs.
I seen a review on that and the belt breather is right by the back tire and needs and extension
What is Polaris thinking the belt exhaust it a terrible design you can’t even go through water without your belt getting wet go to 2:10 in the video to see that I’m talking about
Just put a down payment on a 2021 570 trail. Will fix the front rack myself.
How much you put down and total price
Thanks Luke. As always a very good review. But I'm a little bit concern about reliability of Polaris, should I?
IMO reliability is fairly good nowadays don’t get an older model 2019 and up
My 2002 500 sportsman still going ony changed one belt
nice 2021 POLARIS 570 SPORTSMAN EPS
not what id call a "redesign" more like a mild refresh. also the sportsman 570SP (that you yourselves have tested in the past) already had the dual a arm front end, the only difference now is the lower arms are arched, but it seems like you keep referring to it as if its a new thing when it is not. not the first oversite and im sure not the last, but i DO like the videos or i wouldnt watch them :)
