I was surprised that the times were this close, but then I looked at the notes and saw that the AMG was running cup 2s, whereas the 911 Turbo was running P zeros 🙄
You got that right! That’s at least 1 sec. difference between those tires. But then there is the awd advantage in favor of the Porsche. Considering the price, I would like to see the AMG GT-R Roadster and the 991.2 Turbo S Cabriolet, both with the same tires, of course!

What I find strange is that AMG GT S did 1:31.89 in 2016 and this did 1:32.03. Anyway this AMG GT C is more aimed at 991.2 generation than 992
another day a different air temperature, Tire grip is crucial

This was a Laptime by Professional Race Driver Jan Seyfarth (AMG) while the Michelin Record Day at the Sachsenring. In the Magazin is only the Laptimes from the Journalist Guido Naumann. This is the currency

Why short shifting in the 992 Turbo?
Wie kommt denn der gezeigte Preis des GT C zustande? Teurer als die Basispreise des AMG GT R oder 911 GT3...
Das Autos kostet schon 155000 ohne Extras. Dann die Bremse, Hinterradlenkung und und...
AMG GT R ist 4000 günstiger als der Testwagenpreis GTC. Da fehlen aber beim GT R die Keramikbremse usw...

AMG GT Black Series bleibt der Weltrekordhalter mit 6.43 Min unter den Serienfahrzeugen auf dem Nürburgring... und der Porsche unter den Rennwagen mit dem Fabelweltrekord 5.19 Min.
