White Scars are by far the best legion/chapter. The books, the lore, the the way they preserve their culture, the methods of war.. all of it. Huge fan of the White Scars. Only the Black Templars can compare imo.
Them, the exorcist, the black Templars and the space sharks are my top 5. The scythes of the emperor and lamenters always need a honorable mention. I’d pay good money for a story of flesh tearers and space sharks fighting a enemy together.
Salamanders: did you deliberately fire on those civilians. Marines Malevolent: mate, straight up legit target. Look how many enemy we got too. *Sounds of salamander boltgun being cocked* Salamander: those. Were. Our. Charges.
New to warhammer, eating lore like corn chips. I have no idea who my favorite astartes chapter is. First it was the Salamanders, then the white scars, then the night lords (favorite villian), the more I hear the less I know. I love your content!
My brother got me into warhammer a little while ago, i already loved these guys but watching this video made me love them even more. By far my favorites. Ride fast, ride free brothers
Based video very Ride, Laugh, Kill of you my son- Jagathai Chad I loved how he said to Hibou “you are a traitor but I shall allow you to redeem yourself” now that’s compassion to rival even Vulkan’s... I know an ultra marine said it’s easier to forgive an enemy than a Brother and that’s what jag was going for “No greater prize than Honour, No heavier bond than Shame” he allowed his sons that fell from the path of heaven to rejoin him once proven, this was a gigabrain move as Hibou was vital in helping the now War Leader Shadrak Meduson of the crippled Iron Hands Legion
White Scars are the most interesting Legion culture by far, and their leader Jaghatai is somehow believable and feels so human even as a Primarch. FOR THE KHAN
In other chapters, you need to be super good to be super good to get yourself terminator-armor, but in White Scare, they force you to wear it if you break some of their rules
Now the main question is, are dreadnoughts a punishment or an honor for the white scars (I don’t want to accidentally punish one of my guys by getting a dreadnought)
@@mastercoolguy2809 From what I know, it takes away much of the risk and breeze from their hair. It takes their freedom, and entombs them. I remember one story where Kahn requested that the Tau they were battling alongside to kill one of his marines, as otherwise he'd be formed into a dreadnought due to his injuries. Most, I believe, are on Chorgis guarding the monastery. This is probably due to them already being cursed, so they take on the roll so other able body White Scars don't have to.
I would like to think the Khan is in Commorragh as an uninvited guest wrecking stuff and being a terror similar to Corax, the Drukhari being Drukhari probably welcome that sort of sport with better grace than the Word Bearers.
Love the episode y’all did about them on LoreCrimes! Honestly the white scars are becoming one of my more favorite chapters. I love the Salamanders and Ultramarines but the White Scars have a lot of depth and just act cool as hell! Great video!
Duuuuuuuuuuuuude. DUDE. They should make a fuggin. A 40K game where it's focused around vehicle combat and should be heavily focused around white scars
Hey mate! Your content is incredible! Thank you so much for creating these vids. Some of the images are really low resolution though, slightly glitching my submergence in your lore telling. Best!
This content is top tier. My body is covered with white scars. Scars do not redden in the wind, they do not tan under the sun. I earned my scars on the road. I still ride into the empty spaces. The White Scars are the only 40k legion that makes any sense to me. The rest of the legions look like monsters and fools.🫡
Great video and love the White Scars their are a great Legion and have got the love they deserve. Now we just need more love for them in the 40K setting and not just the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.
It’s my opinion that the Alpha Legion purposefully harassed the sons of the Khan in order to push them towards the loyalist cause. Thus tipping the scale from being overwhelmingly in favor of Horus
12:12 Most Mongolian looking person in all of 40k 🇲🇳🛐 10:20 OH HELL NO, BLOODY WARRIOR LODGES!!!!!! 13:20 Former traitor white scars legion thats main goal is to seek repentance for thror treachery. 16:45 Jagahtai and White Skars hate the Daek Eldar
So initially I thought all White Scars were of Asian ethnicity but after hearing the intro it seems like they are a pretty mixed legion. Am I right in thinking that? Love the White Scars that’s just been aspect I’ve been curious about - if the entire legion shares Asian ethnicity, or not all but the majority, or if it’s pretty evenly mixed. Excellent video by the way!!!
I think Jagatai's specific culture is Mongolian based but the actual legion is from very diverse cultural groups. Due to their remote nature I can see them being the most racially/ethnically diverse.
Well the Chogorians have asian ancestry, i would hesitate to call them asian in entirety. One can imagine a lot of interbreeding since their particular group left Terra. Meaning there was plenty genetic dilution that took place during the Age of Progress, the Dark Age of Technology, and the Age of Strife. Most likely there are many Chogorians that dont have asian characteristics, even though theyre 100% Chogorian.
Odd that the White Scars and Dark Angels couldn't universally choose a side, whereas, save a few alpha legion undercover spies, most loyal legions stayed loyal. I don't recall the Ravenguard, Space Wolves, or Salamanders having internal strife on this level.
The Raven Guard were not really able to be corrupted to force the choice. The ones who would likely have turned coat all died during the Battle of Gate 42. Ironically, Horus was the one was was in charge at the time. He inadvertently pushed the RG out of his grasp.
I maybe misunderstood what you meant but the way it was worded sounded like you were saying Jaghatai's name was previously Ketugu Suogo. That was the Palatine Emperor's name. He was also called the Khagan until Jaghatai defeated him if I'm remembering correctly. And apparently he was only called the Palatine by the Imperium after Jaghatai's discovery. I remember in one of the novels, Yesugei was musing on Chogoris being called Mundus Planus by the Imperium and thinking it was strange that everyone thought they'd fought a man called the Palatine on Mundus Planus when neither of those names was known to him.
I just gotta say, this is now one of the best 40K lore channels around. The Quality being put into this video with its script, and visual aids, is absolutely tremendous!! I hope you never run out of topics or subjects for content, because This stuff is Some talented Shit!
@@dustinrogers6360 Wes Hammer makes good content. But the tone of his channel feels like its being made for newcomers beginning their 40k journey. The White Scars would've made a better traitor legion than the Emperor's Children, and the Emperor's Children would've made a better loyalist legion. Sadly Slaanesh didn't get her Khan.

Gotta admit, the siege of terra makes me love the white scars.
Mongolian space marines, it would be hard to make a more retarded chapter.

Dark Angels are still the coolest IMHO but yeah I think White scars next best.
