EDIT: WE REACHED OUR DONATION TARGET!!! This will help over 190 people this Christmas!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR WONDERFUL COMMENTS! I appreciate you all so so much. Can't believe we've almost hit our fundraising target!
The devil works hard but Immy works harder! Already got this vlog up after walking 75km the day before 🤯 Praying to the RUclips gods this goes viral because you’re amazing and raising money for this charity is so important! So proud of you!
Yea omg she said 4 miles in one hr! I usually do that in about 1.5 or 2 if I'm walking slow. And also 4 is the average i like to walk with 10 being the most I've ever done in one day! OH MY GOD! 👏👏👏
There is no better exercise for the heart than reaching down and lifting people UP! Thank-you Immy for sharing this epic and challenging adventure with us. You’re inspiring... I’m in awe! Kudos to your family and friends for supporting you on this journey 💜
Hey Tyla... I’m with ya... there’s a lot of raw emotion packed into this video. I like that Immy showed us the highs and the lows... and not just the glam moments of her challenge. We can always count on Immy to be transparent and honest... and that, in itself, I find to be very inspiring. Have a great week ahead 😃
This is one of the few videos of yours that I needed subtitles and saw that there weren't any. I have partial hearing loss, and I'm always so grateful for the hard work you put in to subtitles. I'm sure it's a lot of work, but if you are able to continue them in the future I will always be grateful💖
I worked with an NGO called Future Hope India for most of this and the previous year, and they've had great success with challenge fundraising of this kind, including a memorial walk along the Indian coast and one of my colleagues' motorcycle journey from Kolkata to London across Asia and Europe! I'd love to hear about the administration aspect of your walk, including how you chose to advertise it to potential donors, how you route mapped, the donation process itself - I would love to do a challenge like this or a curry night or series of classes to donate, but as I'm not allowed to work right now it's a delicate thing. Congratulations on this monumental achievement and for everything you do to leave the world a better place xxxxx
I’m scared of cows too! My dog once herded a group of cows to us when we were walking her, and it is crazy how BIG a cow is close up and how fast they can move. It was mildly traumatic!
I live in Switzerland were we have many freely walking cows in the moutains near hiking paths. Most will just leave you alone. But be careful with mothers and their babies and bulls.
I used to volunteer in a farm sanctuary in the pirinees and on my way back in the evenings the road would be full of cows lying down for the night. It was scary having to wake them up and convincing them to move so I could drive through, sometimes making noise wasn't enough and i had to walk over them and gently persuade them... they weren't happy althoug they never did anything aside a few "moos"
Soooo bloody amazing! Honestly can't believe what a bloody powerhouse you are 😊 I think these moments where we really push ourselves are pretty pivotal in our self perception and you'll look back and be like "yeahhh I did that"
This made me very emotional... Thank you for being such an inspiration, for your smile and energy, for your strength, for being a friend to so many people, and for making the world a better place!
Really, though, this was amazing, and you're amazing for doing it! I'd love to hear more about the emotional journey you took during this walk, since I feel like it would tie in nicely with the Charity it was for.
So well done!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Very proud of you!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 You had a very powerful why, when you've got a why strength comes from the inner you and you can do anything. I know the feeling of crossing fields with cows, and worst than that bulls! that scared the..... out of me. Ha ha we used to cross them because it was quicker to go through fields (even if it meant jumping over stone walls and bulls staring in not a very friendly way) than going how any civilized person would, that would be paths, streets and so on 😂😂😂. Take care, have a very deserved good rest. Lots of love xxxx
Congratulations Immy 😀💖 Hello Immi's beautiful mum and amazing family, thank you for supoorting her, you can be proud of her and the genuine, friendly, true inspiration she gives to many many people 🙂💖
Love your comment... it is absolutely awesome... I feel the same, but couldn’t put the words together. Thank-you for this warm and genuine candour... so beautifully expressed 💜
Well done!! Hope you raise lots of money for such a worthy cause! And getting the video up so fast is another incredibly impressive feat.. So Proud of you Immy!
I am british but was born in Switzerland. Every year i try to visit England and Wales to visit family. This year i could not and your videos of walking in the fields make my heart ache. I hope i'll get to visit next year 😭 I would move to GB right away if i hadnt had my hubby and friends here.
Absolutely well done and you deserve to be proud of yourself! You passed many of my stumbling blocks: getting up at 4am!, in the dark!, in the cold!, climbing hills!, walking all day!, more than 5 miles!, and for keeping going through the pain and your low points! Wow!!! I would have been ok with the cows though 😉 And bless you for doing this for Crisis, such a worthy charity - I’m more than pleased to donate. Very well done again! xx
Wow! Fantastic achievement Immy. I love your videos and content. Walking and hiking have helped me through this year and videos like this keep me so motivated! Thank you!
You should be very proud of yourself!!! Over 46 miles is so so hard in one shot. The most I've done is 11 miles while hiking in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I am going to check out your link to donate.
Watching this while walking my dog and realizing that you helped me foster my love for walking with your videos from last year. So much love and celebration for you! ❤️
I had to laugh at the shot of you just before you need to leave and the cat is on your lap. happens to me allllll the time! great vid for a great cause
Well done, I did like 25% of this on new year's Day and it killed me. Inspired to try it again and push a little further. Amazing that you reached your charity target too!!
Did you walked 75 km? Amazying. The challenge and the support to the cause. Congratulations! And may we be moved and motivated to follow your example. (sorry the bad english)
This is brilliant, and I'm so proud of you! What an accomplishment. I regularly walk 7 m/11 km daily, and I'm a piker compared to you. My longest day was 41,000 steps, which is 17.5 miles, or 28 km. Tomorrow is the 4-year anniversary of my longest day. You've motivated me to beat it and donate big to celebrate the milestone and help those in need. This year for Christmas my friends and I agreed to donate to others in lieu of gifts. You are a TITAN!
This was so cool!! I can't believe how many miles this was... you rock lady!!! I would love to see a video on the public footpaths around Europe that could be used for sustainable backpacking, etc. if you're ever interested in giving us some info! I assume you used the paths for this walk?? :)
@@SustainablyVegan Woohoo!! As someone from the USA (Michigan!) I am mystified/amazed by the fact that public footpaths connect tons of villages in the English countryside... one of my goals to travel there once that's possible again!
You’ve inspired me now! I have wanted to do something similar for a while. The longest trail we have near me is the taff trail. It’s 88km. I really want to do it now.
Incredible! Well done for the challenge and well done for raising money and awareness for such an important cause! Would love to hear more about different walking trails or routes you'd recommend!
That is so awesome! I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 2019, and my longest day was 34 miles. Now, I'm inspired by you to bet back out to the trails and see if I can hike further now that I have fresh legs :D
Immy, wow. Congratulations! I truly truuuly admire you and all your effort in everything you put your mind to. This was really inspiring both to donate to crisis and to go and do some big walks. A suggestion is, now you can come to Portugal and walk the Caminho de Santiago hehe through to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. If you ever come do tell and I'll walk some part with you too haha. Really happy you did this and the weather was so friendly. Any of the long running/ultraman/ trail books you read helped prepare for this? Keep on being awesome, and I am grateful for such wholesome content
Wow that’s impressive. The most I did in one day was a hike of 26 miles with a group of 10. I couldn’t imagine doing almost twice that amount without a large group.
I wish I could walk that much! I'm so exhausted after 3 miles that I'm struggling to stay awake. I have chronic fatigue syndrome right now. Hoping to be well soon and be able to walk long distances again.
Amazing, such an achievement! And all that for a good cause :) The most I've ever walked in a day were 36km and that was exhaaaauuusting..! so impressed!
i'm not scared of sheep but i am of cows and horses and ponies. They sometimes charge you - i've been charged - and every so often, people die. Usually with dogs, and i had luck and wits, but it's still scary, you never know. Friend of a friend was hospitalised with broken bones after being charged by a sheep, but that's rare.
