      Probably around 40km, with 20kg on my back... when crossing the Pyrenees. Was not fun. It was necessary to get within a 3h hike the following morning to get to the next site before it OD'd.

I firmly believe that you are gonna make it. I plan something similar again... stay tuned bro, and I appreciate your comment and your support. Don't forget to let me know once you've done it ✌😉

      @@Dvybz Hey, just attempted a 36 km walk this Tuesday. I had to abandon my target 40 km due to the tearing of my shoe in-shole. But still satisfied with the 36 km that I could stretch up. I live in Delhi, India and walking across the strees and along them brings the entire city at a more humane scale. Thanks for your words and I hope I will be able to cross 50km soon.

    5km/h - very good pace. Did the corners of your foot soles hurt? (from the foot hitting the ground on an angle to the heel). And why wont you made any stops for rest?

    • @Dvybz
      @Dvybz  3 года назад +2

      Hey there. The reason why I didn't want to make no stops for rest is because I wanted to prove myself if I am capable of doing it non stop. Keep on walking until I reach my destination regardless of how tired I would get. The pain of my feet was caused by this trekking heavy boots that I had on. My toes suffered a lot, my soles were fine. They were definitely not the right type of shoes to do this long walk. It was raining outside and these were the only shoes to keep me dry. Thanks for watching the video, buddy. I appreciate that👍🏼

    I did 35 to 45 kms walks several times between my 60 and 65 years of age - along Khobar Corniche, Rakah to the Dessal plant and back - starting just after maghrib to return at Fajr time. No preparation, nothing for the road, except a bottle of water, bought on the way, and a cup of tea if the seaside cafeteria was open.
    I plan to do one now at 70+, for 63 kms 7am to 7pm, between Hyd & Warangal, India.

      @@andriusvalciukas6737 That sounds like a serious task 🤙🏼. Nah bro, you won't die, just make sure to take it easy and don't rush in the beginning. Wear some comfortable shoes, preferably a size larger than what you usually wear because your feet will swell after a while, which is inevitable. I reckon with plenty breaks and slow walking, you guys will be done in around 12 - 14 hours. That's something like 14 min/km. That's a really slow pace and doable. But our whole crew finished and we're high on sense of acomplishment. Of course it's hard to walk now (not even talking about climbing the stairs) :D Yesterday we thought that we will never hike long distance again, now we think we will. I want to walk 40km on my 40th birthday in January 2024. How long do I need to train daily?

    • @Dvybz
      @Dvybz  Год назад +1

      Hi there, that is awesome. Good for you! Respect for setting yourself such a goal. So, if you like to walk 40 km in 24 hours and have a couple of breaks in between, it's not going to be very hard, but walking 40 km for 8 hours non stop, it's definitely going to be more challenging. I don't think you need to train daily whatsoever... honestly. I mean if you have a generally good condition and you are a fit individual, your body is going to push you through the entire challenge without training a single day before. You will feel discomfort in your feet and joints at some point but with a bit of willpower you can manage it. NOW... if you are training for this specific challenge daily, and you are increasing the distance day by day to a point where you notice that you can last much longer than before, you won't have as much pain as I had. At least I think so. Once your body adapts, you can push harder. How long you want to train daily is up to you and your fitness, but I think somewhere between 5-15 km a day should be enough for the beginning. Good luck and let me know how it went!
