This show is awesome, and that was an awesome scene - However, that's not how airbags work.
Definite Rule of Cool moment.
It's not? How do they work? Do they test a lot of gun shots to the steering wheel to make sure it doesn't go off, just in case?
@KodiakCombat the sensors for airbags are not on the actual steering wheel.
Under normal circumstances you can do anything to the steering wheel and the airbag shouldn't go off. Getting hit in the front bumper might make it go off if hit hard enough.

@LobbyDaLobster so the assumption is the sensors are being triggered to make it go off whereas I would think the force of the bullet penetrative the steering wheel and hitting the actual mechanism that deploys the airbag would reasonably set off said mechanism.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but it is clear we started with different premises.
And that was just the beginning of that story, as I recall.
Finally, a much, much more realistic display the criminal element, majority wise anyways from.this show😮.
