I remember in Season 1 before they get back together Raylan says to Winona, "losing someone like you, eats at a guy..." and this is at least 6 years after their divorce. Since then, they have been back together plenty. That's their pattern. He's always going to long for her. He's only been in love once and it's with Winona. She will always love him. They just have to find their way back to each other.
He was madly in love with her, I don't think that will ever change. It's just a matter of Winona leaving her third husband to go back to Raylan. A decision I support!
I honestly hated Winona. She raked him over the coals in the first series, he was constantly bailing her or her loser husband out of trouble, and she was constantly up his ass about him working too much or being crazy at work. She married him in the Marshall service and expected an 8-5 banker I guess, but whatever the case, she's trash. She cheated on him to end the marriage the first time. The fact he took her back goes against everything he does in the show.
All these years later and Winona is still gorgeous. Raylan is a fool for not retiring sooner and he probably wouldn't have lost her. But I also want 15 more seasons of Justified, so I guess we all don't get what we want. These two still have fire chemistry.
Raylan and Winona > Ava and Boyd all day any day. Chemistry between Timothy Olyphant and Natalie Zea is top notch and you can just feel how much these two characters are attracted to each other and have a deep connection. I hope they get back together and actually get to have those "two rocking chairs on a porch" moment.
they should have written ava off and given winona all that screen time. i'd love to have seen raylan and winona working it out throughout the series and then riding off into the sunset together.
Going back on utube to watch many of the scenes makes me understand why this was one of my favorites like sopranos, the wire. Yellowstone, andy griffin.
I’ve never watched this series largely because I thought that the end of “Justifed” was so perfect I didn’t need to. We see that Raylan and Winona are on good terms in Miami and that Ava has finally found peace That final scene in prison between Raylan and Boyd and “we dug coal together” was superb.
@@belgianwaffle_1 The way the arcs were coming down to earth, it really seemed like Ava was not going to make it. Her survival at the end and her living off the grid seemed hollow. If Ava did pass away, Raylan sharing that news to Boyd in person and saying "We dug coal together" would have been a home run, out of the ballpark and into another ballpark. This scene had more chemistry between two actors than a single scene in all of City Primeval. I think in the original series, it's about 6 or 7 years since Winona leaves Raylan and then they get back together multiple times. 10 years isn't going to change his feelings for her. Maybe she's happier with her new husband but the story has always been that these two will always be in love with each other.
I feel like that last moment in this scene is very telling. It mirrors the end of the original series finale with them, him watching her walk away. Similar look on his face. You can tell he's still in love with her. That's never going to change. Maybe they will get back together if the show comes back.
Same and to think that Carolyn would even be someone he would look at twice let alone have a fling with? Yuck. They had absolutely no chemistry it was comically bad.
I highly doubt they aren't hooking up in florida. there's no way he is living that close to his ex-wife who he has been madly in love with for so long and can't seem to ever get over and who is drop dead gorgeous.... and is perfectly fine just co-parenting.

@@Ally.Cat.252 Sorry, I should have been more clear. It's mandatory retirement for federal law enforcement officers, including deputy U.S. marshals. I believe it's 57 years old after 20 years of service which Raylan has certainly completed.
Raylan wasn't making dough. He lives in a pretty run down house. And he was a pretty deadbeat dad throughout the series, so the fact that she even allows him to have custody is gracious on Winona's end.
Doesn't Winona come from money? She always struck me as pretty spoiled and her sister's house was super nice. Of course it's her business when he decides to make a massive life change. They seem to still have a healthy and strong co-parenting relationship and there are obviously still deep feelings there.

No. It's really not. She divorced him. You don't get to leave someone and then armchair coach their lives. Are you some kind of idiot?
It's none of her goddam business.
I love Timothy Olyphant and I always will. His portrayal of Raylan Givens and Seth Bullock are amazing, but his daughter is not a very good actor. I don't want to disrespect him or her, but she just was not very good and this reboot or whatever you want to call it was nowhere near as good as Justified. Something my father and I have been arguing about for months. I seriously can't believe he thought this was better than Justified. This is the man that raised me and fueled my love of westerns
She was AWFUL. One of the most baffling casting decisions after Michael Rapaport in Season 5.
@@belgianwaffle_1 I completely agree with you there. How he was supposed to be a Florida redneck is ridiculous
Is it just me or does he keep getting better looking with age?
Winonna always thinks everything is about her!! WOMEN!!
I hope they let him track down Boyd one more time.
Why do women always think some guy that's worked his job for however long needs to talk to them about retiring! the only thing my wife heard from me when I decided to retire was I'll be done in June! she said done with what WORK your retiring Yep. Your sure OH YA!!
He doesn't have to run decisions by her. Toxic.
I suspect you don't understand what the word toxic means. Her asking him a simple question and one that is perfectly valid isn't toxic. They clearly have a solid co-parenting relationship and love each other.
Kinda rude of Winona comment you wouldn't do it for me, well wasn't your job your career and timing wasn't right

Last scenes were the best. It was okay but not as good as the original however…. Boyd is coming for his wife, kid and Raylan
I need Benson Boone!😊
Can't stand Winona. She's a ball busting narcissist.
That's so weird. I'm a retired cop. When I just first retired, my ex wife said almost the same thing. I told her it was none of her fucking business!
Well, Raylan seems to be in love with his ex-wife and she looks like Winona, so probably very different circumstances...
Typical.... complained about the job for years & then complains when you quit ..
Retired L.E.O. here & my ex remarried and one day we were on the phone talking about the kid's insurance and she started gripping & complaining so I reminded her that she was someone else's problem now so go bitch to her husband since he had to listen to her & I didn't anymore ..
It's sad that he died at the end. RIP Raylan.
They needed to have had Josh Duhamel do a cameo…
He should have played Winona's husband. The dude who plays him in S6 was alright but I just don't believe a woman as incredibly attractive as Winona is marrying anyone but a Raylan-level hottie. Gary being the outlier of course.
But that was Jason "Iron Eagle" Gedrick as Winona's husband in S6.
Prime original show using some fake delivery service in their show lol
Retired? So is he in his 60’s?
50s, he is getting close to mandatory retirement which is around 55.
@@amrateeka mandatory for a police officer? Or a person in general? In New Zealand retirement age is 65.
@@Ally.Cat.252 Sorry, I should have been more clear. It's mandatory retirement for federal law enforcement officers, including deputy U.S. marshals. I believe it's 57 years old after 20 years of service which Raylan has certainly completed.
Who can retire in their mid 50s. Definitely not a fed lmao
Never did like Winona!
His daughter, and his love interest, ruined this series.
Agreed
I'd like to think she was not a love interest but an extremely bad decision that was induced by drugs and copious amounts of bourbon.
She liked the paychecks, though
Raylan wasn't making dough. He lives in a pretty run down house. And he was a pretty deadbeat dad throughout the series, so the fact that she even allows him to have custody is gracious on Winona's end.
Doesn't Winona come from money? She always struck me as pretty spoiled and her sister's house was super nice. I feel like she grew up with money especially since Raylan was so insecure about how little he had when it came to Winona. I don't think she ever needed him for money. She's a gorgeous woman who can get any man she wants.
He's not making much and his house looks like crap. Pretty sure Winona is doing just fine with or without his paychecks.
Marshalls are union... almost let me go.....
so he cant paint a house for sh1t.
What was the gift?
This was such a big disappointment of a show.
On
City Primeval SUCKED! Maybe Justified 3 the Search For Boyd will be better
Corrupt judge, yip..
