I love Tim's self awareness that this might be all PTSD paranoia and when he finds out a trained killer is actually trying to kill him he relaxes because that is preferable to losing his marbles.
Yes, that's one my favorite moments from this scene. He's so relieved and calm right in the middle of that.
“Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they don’t trying to get you, son” Bon Crowder
I think a spinoff with Tim would be fun to watch!!!!
@@randythompson8826I’ve been waiting on this for literal years
its a tv show. there is no ptsd, and there are no trained killers. grow the eff up.
Tim was very underrated in the original series
You got that right! The whole series! Maybe when the new one with Boyd being back and Raylon chasing him ...maybe just maybe we could see Tim again....don't know what he's up to now....
And underused! Shouldn’t have gone all the way to season 6 before getting a boatload of screen time. They could easily do a spin-off on just Gutterson’s character.
Not by me haha
Yes very underrated
I agree. But don’t tell Scotty. Because Scotty doesn’t know.
I've always said that the one thing Justified didn't get right was how little we saw of Tim. This vid proves that...
Tim, Rachel, and Art. And I agree. But too much and it's no longer special.
"It's not a fantasy". Perfect line.
RLTW!
The repitoire in this scene is outstanding
Its a great line, especially since that dude played Durant in Black Hawk Down
the way he accepted having to change the forrest gump name reference so quick always makes me laugh
"Oh, there's a sad part?" Just another golden nugget of dialog in the mother lode that is Justified.
Raylen was the coolest, but Tim was the scariest. Dude was cold as ice.
Tim's best line, Nick Searcy tells him "Don't miss" and he says "I never miss"
The chemistry Colton and Tim had, even for a brief half season, was so good. Unfortunately you always knew it was going to end badly for Colton
“I guess I’ll quit today.”
Fantastic final line for a character.
Tim deserves his own spinoff/origin series
I was really hopeful they would bring him back during the reboot. That would have made it 10 times better.
"They circled the wagons." Perfect.
Insert "You weren't supposed to do that" meme here
What good what that do if I may ask
@@jessedelaney920 It provides protection and 360° surveillance

Dialogues in this show are genius. "I would like a young Jerard Depardieu to play me in the movie, I'm honoured." - this phrase alone makes me giggle uncontrollably for minutes every time I'm reminded of it. This whole scene - who needs cinema when you have shows like this filled to the brim with this kind of scenes. Such a great show.
*Gerard (He's a French dude, not a mouse.)
@@Au60schild Isn't the fact that I wrote his last name correctly more impressive than my little mistake? =p
He really does look like him so it makes sense.
@@maxzymator958 All sins are forgiven. Just a little levity on my part.
This is cinema
IMO, the original run of Justified is one of the few shows that stayed solid season after season.
"Oh there's a sad part?" My favorite
Something they did really well on this show in subtle ways was show you Tim's situational awareness is off the chart. It's subtle in most episodes, but even when he doesn't have lines he's always doing something to show he's aware in the background. Really well written and really well acted.
Wasn’t aware enough that one convenience store didn’t have a bathroom 😂😂
Tim is a great character. He is much closer to reverting to himself than is shown, held back by his will. In short, it’s all he can do to stop from taking scalps.
A Tim focused spinoff would have been (still could be) amazing.
As my father in law said, a Pearl Harbor WE 2 vet, the hardest thing is to not kill someone

Never got enough of Tim; he just consumed a scene whenever he was on camera. This was one of my favorites.
I need to get out of the house more. The loss of this show still haunts me.
City Primeval teased a new season at the end. Worth a watch
One of the things that made this show really good was how they showed respect to the other Marshalls Raylan worked with. They weren’t throw away characters who sucked at their jobs. They were just as sharp and deadly as Raylan, they just mostly played by the book. The show didn’t elevate Raylan by making them incompetent, used them to show his leadership and ability to work as a cohesive teammate which actually made him a much more dangerous character.
Tim's an idiot... you can ask anybody.
Amazing writing. Even adding the "Lt. Dan" part was perfect.
would’ve loved to have seen colton’s reaction to tim’s “it’s Not a fantasy. anyway” @ 2:07 the way they subtly dig at each other is great
Season 4 is my favorite just for the Drew Thompson mystery, Colt Rhodes and Tim Gutterson’s relationship/Tim getting used more, and the character of Nicky Augustine. This season is a blast!
Watching Deadwood now, and if you like the actor who plays Drew Thompson, I believe he plays a character named Ellsworth in Deadwood. Olyphant is also in that.
@@Splitlickity Yup you're right. Love that show but not near as much rewatch value for me as there is with Justified.
@@Splitlickitythe man that played Drew was Bobby on Supernatural and in a few movies with the same persona in a way, a good way.
@@Splitlickity There were 19 crossover actors between the two shows.
Brilliant scene. Right up there with Art's monologue about how awesome Drew Thompson is.
Can I like this one twice? Art was also under appreciated.
What a terrific, well-written scene.
I've always called season 4 the happy season. Every character was given so much dimension. The storylines and how the characters crossed were better than any movie. The Drew Story and the Constable that can take a beating, Tim and Boyd's guy here are gold.
This whole sequence including the beginning and end not shown here, was one of my favorite parts of the whole series.
Brilliant series
Tim needed his own show
I served with guys like Tim & they were big time bad asses. We used to say they were "Square as an ice cube & twice as cool."
Tim and Rachel need a limited series of their own.
"Justified : Harlen County."
Would watch, and honestly it would be better than City Primeval.
One of my favorite scenes in the series. Thanks for uploading it!
One of the most brilliant scene ever, “Its NOT a comedy.”
Pitts was a brilliant undervalued actor. The writing is beyond. I have Colton and Tim’s dialog memorized.. Thanks so much for posting this,
Justified was a series full of great scenes... this one may just be my favorite.
Tim and Art were fookin awsome in this series.
I remember Ron Eldard, from the day's he worked at Chicken Galore, in Ridgewood NY... Great actor and excellent chicken fryer.....
Mini 14 as a precision marskman rifle......boy how I laughed!
There is no mini 14 in this video.

That is most definitely a mini 14.
The dialogue in this scene is perfection. Great writing, great delivery by the actors. 👩🍳
"Why are you calling?"
So I can move my car while your cell is occupied.
The entire series is fantastic
Honestly, it's criminal that Ron Eldard isn't in more things.
It’s a damn shame they didn’t give Tim a bigger role.
This was my favorite scene from the entire series.
Skipped the best part of this scene!
"All I know is I'm having full blown PTSD episode right now."
"You get those a lot?"
"Only when I'm handling firearms in public."
🤣😅
What a scene this was. I remember watching it first time and I was just blown away by the whole thing - acting, pace, scripting.
Started the clip a half minute too late.
Some of the best dialogue in the show: "You sure?" "For all I know I'm having a full blown PTSD episode" "You have those a lot?" "Only when I'm handling firearms in public."
The series as a whole was so awesome that this spectacular scene had actually faded from my memory. Time for a rewatch!
I loved Tim!!! He was awesome!! Loved his dry humor, played the part perfectly!!!
Tim needs a spinoff, set it in Montana or something
I'd watch that, it's probably be the best thing on TV these days.
Always like that character Colt....
I didn’t watch until a couple of weeks ago, and I keep watching the clips love Tim & Walter they are fantastic
Probably my favorite scene in the whole series! I’ve been looking for this clip for a while. Thanks for posting!
My goodness, this was such a great show!
I forgot Tim had a Savage 110 in this scene, kinda based tbh
This is GREAT. Keep your notes: may need to use this.
one of the best scenes in the show
They filmed the many exterior shots of this series around Fraiser Park, CA. This scene looks like it was the road through the Cudday valley.
Didn't realize that was Ron Eldard.
i love tim so much
Scotty doesn’t know.
I don't miss
its not a fantasy - awesome
Putting a scope on a Mini 14 and expecting to hit anything at that range is.... optimistic.
Tim should be in Reacher playing the same type of character
Tim is a very smart guy, I like him!
Good scene
Love❤❤❤❤ Tim..
So many cool characters...ensemble cast meams more more than just Olyphant...brimg back it all or dont...like Frazier.
.keep it like it was yall..
Dammmmm....
I'd be so happy if they did. When I saw Boyd was out at the end of the new show, well I've got my hopes up for something good to come.
@@TarynToday The re-appearance of Boyd deeply disappointed me. I hope that as soon Boyd and Raylan meet in the new series, Boyd finally gets killed off for good, unable to reappear, because the character is so annyoing.
means*, brings* - does the "N" key on your keyboard not work? And what is it with the way too many fullstops all over the place?
Damn, Tim! That was cool as ice!
The guy has a mini-14, he ain’t going to hit the broadside of a barn 😂
😂
It does have a scope so he can see what he missed LOL.
Love tim❤
Tim was a great character, could have carried his own show
The Bronco at 0:24 ❤❤❤
That is definitely where he parked his car
I love how they think a scope on a Mini 14 will fix the accuracy deficiencies inherent in that rifle. Too funny!
Tim was ice.
The good guys have ESP!
That is definitely where he parked his car.
Oh, there's a sad part? 😂
Is that guy holding the binoculars backwards?
“It’s not uhhhhhh Fantasy…”
What's the name of the music during credits?

Big issue with this: If you sense an ambush or get engaged in an ambush the one thing you certainly do not do is stay in the kill zone. Lmao they sat there exposed for an entire scene.
True, in this situation, when you're boxed in, you immediately circle and assess the situation from cover. If the third car hadn't been there, Tim simply would have stomped on the gas.
i heard 800g and the coupon from dad,...
Justified was good but it would have been great with more Tim and Rachel.
I don’t remember this episode.
Sprry but a Mini14 in .223 is not ideal for that range unless there are A LOT of mini14s. Poor rifle choice for an ambush at range.
Yes, those of us who know, know that a Mini-14 Rancher is a coyote rifle, not a National Match rifle. And putting a scope on it is like putting lipstick on a pig. NCSI did the same thing. Notice though that Tim has what looks like a Remington 700 with a scope, the 700 being the basis for both the USMC M40 and the later M24.
