Did the rest of them have the same accolades as Tebow In high school and college. I lived in Jacksonville from 2003- 2017 so I remember his whole career, just like Derrick Henry .

Edit: Let's not forget Florida St., Florida, and Miami were producing countless QB's who tore up College but never became legit NFL QB's back in those days. For some reason it just didn't work. Testaverde was the only QB that I can think of.
Jim Kelly and Bernie Kosar from Miami also became legit NFL QBs.

He was a first round draft pick. And only got to start once. That one season he made the playoffs and won a game. Then never was allowed to play again. Not a bust
Flop? Awful take. He was drafted 25th in the first round. Anyone heard of Tim Couch, Akili Smith, Jamarcus Russell, Kwame Brown, Anthony Bennett, Adam Morrison, Manziel, etc. He was unreal in college, but nobody thought he was going to be great in the NFL. He ended up making the playoffs and winning a playoff game which is decent. That's more than any of those guys, and many other 1st round picks. He wasn't very good, but their are probably 100s, if not 1000s of players who were drafted highly, but did worse. Nobody was hyping Tebow up to be John Elway lol

In my opinion he was one of the most electric college football players of all time, we all knew that he wasn’t gonna be able to be a long term qb in the nfl but he did win a playoff game, he had a great legacy. Why don’t we talk about people like Reggie Bush or people like that who also really didn’t pan out; they weren’t busts their careers just pail in comparison to their college careers.
Reggie bush was useful, won a superbowl and played 11 seasons. Tebow played 3 or 4. Big difference.

For two years in the NFL it wasn't bad. There are a lot of worse flops in the 1st round. He could have kept playing in the NFL as Taysom Hill kind of player but with so many fans he was seen as too much of a distraction as a backup QB. He is no Ryan Leaf, Johnny Football or Jamarcus Russell. Dwayne Haskins is also looking like more of a flop.

All jokes aside Tebow deserves some credit for the Broncos Super Bowl. Elway knew he wasn't the long term answer, but the success the team had during his stint as a starter put pressure on the front office and bring in a great QB to avoid a media relation disaster with fans, and it demonstrated the Broncos had a great team, enter Peyton Manning and the rest is history!
Their defense was even better following that Steeler playoff victory, Had Tim been been QB arguably the Broncos win more titles without Manning freezing up.

Vince Young went 31-19 as a starter then dealt with personal issues that cast him out of the NFL. RG 3 was next up then had a life and career-altering injury. I would not call them bust.
The title is wayyyy off. Tebow was never physically above his peers. 2. He played in a spread option offense in college which hid his deficiencies as a qb ( there is so much to go over on that issue alone).
