- Not sure where to start with this one. I'll start by saying that the 3 of us our so thrilled to be the first to cover this entire song. It's a beast, and took so much effort from every one of us. I took care of drums and bass, Tristan Prange is on guitar, and Kori Kameda took care of vocals. When we first heard the rough mix, we were blown away at how close it sounded to the original. Kori mixed the entire thing, and really did an amazing job. Not easy mixing a 15 minute song! Once it was mixed, we then had it sent over to Kori's buddy at Montano Mastering (link to their website will be below) and we want to give a huge thank you to Kristian Montano for mastering this and taking it to the next level. We had a great time making this video, and it really could not have turned out any better. With all these miles between us, we managed to make it happen. Hope you enjoy!

i am very proud of what the three of us did but i believe this could be topped and will be so i encourage anyone to put in the work and try. me justin and tristan have never met in person and may never! but the experience of having three individuals respectively perform the music we have a lot of love for is something that should be shared by anyone who is inspired to do so. thank you for the kind comment.

This is just brilliant. The drumming is redicoulis and damn near perfect. The only other drummer who should cover 7empest is Jon Kew. But this is off the spectrum.

Very well done, amazing cover. My only thing about this is that I wish the bass could've been turned up a little more on the final mix but over all, the vocals are amazing, the guitar tone is astounding, the bass sounds aggressive and thats so sick and the drums are very beautifuly tuned and mixed. Well done boys.

When I first heard this song, I had two thoughts: 1- Move over Ted Nugent. Stranglehold is no longer the holy grail of stoners everywhere, AND 2- It's a Tool song that's so epic, and so complicated, that no other cover band will even attempt to cover it. It would have been nice, though, to see some band cover it on RUclips, just so I could watch them play the individual instruments. I mean, I can't even keep up with the beat while playing air guitar in my car. Somehow though, you guys nailed it. Absolutely freaking amazing. Thank you.

Tristan got great tones by means of a pod go and i used a diezel vh4 plugin underneath on a few different spots throughout.
