Unfortunately that's what a lot of drummers and musicians have to do now. What's the newest band that has record sales in general? Frees is playing for Foo Fighters now which is one of like two rock bands in the mainstream. Fall Out Boy being the other. We're in a sh!tty time for mainstream rock despite there being a lot of good rock coming out.
@@84jdgregory Sadly, it's impossible for bands to make any money from record sales. Once a digital copy is sold, it's copied to oblivion. Only a fraction of the albums are paid for, the rest are just stolen. But that's about to change with the blockchain. By using NFT albums new albums won't be able to be copied. One album sold will equal one copy unless you buy an original from the creator. So album sales will matter again, and with NFT's, there's no need for a record company to be in the middle, as artists can now record their own music and distribute them on digital platforms by themselves, which means even more money for artists.
🤦🏽♂️ this is incredibly impressive and humbling. The focus it takes alone, the patience to stay in time and the memorization is ridiculous man. Fuckin killer.
Got me hooked. Incredibly hard cover to pull off and you played it like you wrote it. Wow. Loved the over head shots so us mortal drummers can see what the hell is going on. Like i said im hooked.
F***kin amazing....you played really well. Im a drummer....learnt by notes at age 13 and gave it up to fovus on studies & career by age 16. Never bought a drumkit after that nor played for any band except for playing on 2 tracks with the band that I hired to play for my wedding. Hope to buy a drumkit at some point in my life but i dont think i can be as good. You're quite good at it.....the kit sounded amazing on headphones even though youtube audio quality would suck some life out of the recording quality. All the best to you in whatever you're doing at the moment and in the future.
Tyler - I never comment on RUclips but feel like I need to with you. You are extremely blessed to be able to do what you do. And have the work ethic and passion to match. Perfect storm my friend. I wish you all the best and have no doubt you are going to succeed in life. Keep crushing it and I know we all appreciate you sharing with us!
My guy you are killing it. It only gets better every time you upload something. The music you cover is not for initially happy people. Please keep doing what you are doing because you are obviously very good at it but also be happy, stay balanced, enjoy!
I just don't know how they do it. Drummers are freaks of nature. And this guy blows my mind. You can te ll when he enters that zone. Well done young man.
Fantastic, you should be happy with that. Admittedly I don't watch your videos that often because you make me jealous, but that was a massive improvement from the last video of yours I watched. Rock on man 🤘
Covering all this Danny Carey will improve your skills so much, not like you aren't a beast already. Your video editing and sound quality are also very good. You definitely pay great attention to detail. Keep up the good work, you'll get far in life.
Normally I'm not a fan of covers on RUclips because it comes off to me as "look, I can do that incredible drum parts that you like too!". However, with this video it's different for me. It's quite simply an excellent performance and irrespective of whether I could watch the original over this cover version I think I can judge this video and performance based on it's actual merits. Forget being an accurate cover. It alone is an excellent performance filled with rhythmic precision, musical dynamics and best of all authentic conviction and feelings behind every stroke. Excellent watch and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this guy's rendition of a prog drum classic. I'm happy I watched
Incredible cover, sir. The first version was really good, but there's some obvious improvements on this version (great attention to detail). What are the voices used on the Alesis Samplepad? Is there sheet music for that?
This is fucking ridiculous. The brains of people like you just work differently than they do for us mere human beings. Never stop doing what you're doing, we're all here for you!
JK is fantastic, no doubt. Outside looking in, he exerts more energy and perhaps emotion into his rendition of this one. This guy - makes it look far too easy…hits the same speed, same accuracy, same dynamics - effortlessly. Experienced drummers can learn plenty watching this. Slow is fast. Unreal.
Damn little brother. Portnoy only had a small window to learn this song. You kicked portnoys ass. Definitely made Danny proud. Keep on kicking brother.
It amazes me how much more simple it looks in real life, not saying that it actually is simple, but my brain makes it out to be this octopus with eight drumsticks in each hand and shit, and it’s just not like that
His full album play throughs are amazing.
Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoy!

If you aren't sponsored, I'm rioting.
Unfortunately not yet haha!

Fucking awesome to see new generations of people loving tool.
Tyler's ability to nail these complicated polyrhythms is mind blowing 😮🥁🤘
Thanks brother! I still have lots to learn but I really appreciate it!
@@tyvisser you've definitely inspired me to keep on practicing to get better as well 👏
His timing is as close to Dannys I've seen
how you went from 1 room mic placed in the corner of a room to a full blown high quality is mind blowing man
Thank you, my goal is to keep improving!
The time sigs breathe, perfectly. No other words from me. Golly.
This kid is INSANE, needs way more followers, LET'S GOOOO!!
Thanks brother, I really appreciate the support!
I see you had a brain installed in each appendage like Danny. Even the slower tempo parts are insane! You, sir, are amazing.
My favorite tool song behind Rosetta. Pretty sure Danny said this was the most complicated song he’s played. Dang dude. Killed it.
this drum piece is a near-impossible nut to crack! A testament to your effort and talent
Those toms sound fucking godly bro
These Tool time signature hurt my brain, let alone trying to perform this insanity on a drum kit. Baffling😮
Reminds me of Josh Freese when he was younger. This kid has a bright future as a session/tour drummer.
Thanks so much, that really means a lot! I'm not counting on it but that would be pretty cool!

Sick enough to put me in a hospital. Healing enough to get me out 🫡🤔🫡🤗
Underrated comment
Imagine he forgot to record 😳
I’ve done that before haha!
Сколько же времени заняло на разбор не самых простых партий ударных в мире.... Мое почтение, респект!
You make it look so easy. Only drummers know what it takes. You should be a house hold name.
You have nailed. Amazing. Don't ever stop.
