    Heyy, yes Tunisian crochet is in-between crocheting and knitting. So it mocks knitting but your still crocheting. Also it CURRLLLSS. I don't do it that often, but I've heard that if you size up your hooks and loosen your tension it will help a whole bunch with the curling.😊😊

    Tunisian crochet has a tendency to curl. I know a few of us call it the dreaded Tunisian curl. Specific stitches curl more than others like Tunisian Knit stitch. The best way to fix the curling is blocking. A steam block can work, but your best blocking technique for the Tunisian curl is wet blocking it also helps open up those stitches, giving you a lovely drape.

    I’m a crocheter and I picked up Tunisian crochet and it has helped me big time with my wrist and hands. I have horrible pain in very short time of just starting it for the day. I pick it up when I need a break between crochet. I have been wanting to learn knot too but I’m so scared of it. Let’s do it together!!oh and grab I love this cotton from hobby lobby! It’s AH-MAZING! Especially for wash clothes

    I’ve been avoiding learning Tunisian crochet, and you’re making me feel like I should definitely try it now! I even have the hooks already 😂

    I have always loved the way Tunisian crochet looked! I have a love hat relationship with the wooden hooks because of the slight snags here and there. I have a small metal tunisian hook that is probably perfect for a dish cloth!

      This was my first time using a wood hook, and I probably will only use metal in the future! 😂 I’d love to know your recommendations for metal Tunisian hooks. Thank you so much for watching! ❤️

      @@hooksandheelers The metal ones I have came from my crochet set I’ve had for 15 years. They are the Boye brand. I’ve tried to find the longer type with the tail on the end in the aluminum but I have not had any luck so far!

    I don't know how to Tunisian crochet unfortunately, but I've been knitting for 4 or 5 years and curling is a problem with that too
    When you knit the stockinette stitch it curls allll the way up to the top, and normally the remedy is to have a garter stick border or block when it's done
    I wonder if there's a stitch in tunisian crochet kind of like that?
    Either way, I loved your video!

    I think the curling is kind of inevitable unfortunately, but blocking can help make it less annoying lol

      @hooksandheelers  Год назад +1

      Hopefully it’s less noticeable with larger projects too. Thank you so much! 💜

      @@hooksandheelers You’re welcome! And I think when there’s a little bit more weight (more project and therefore more yarn lol), it kind of curls less.
