Went to Home Depot at Christmas time and found silver dragons, alcocasia african mask, plus numerous other plants!!!! Of course I snatched them up and brought them home 😀. Needless to say, I'm as happy as a plant in the dirt.
Love, love the huge plant, I will butcher the name, you got on this haul! I've NEVER come across one that big, so that WAS a great find, I think. I've really enjoyed your videos and and can't wait to see more!
Hi Ashley, well here in Ontario Canada, I found a small Pink Princess for $10 Canadian. at our local Home Depot, took it home, put it under grow light and I thought it just came to life by standing more erect than when I saw it in the store and now it has new leaf emerging! can't wait for this leaf to unfurl! Thank you for your channel, I'am learning a lot and its taking me away from everyday life! You are amazing! - Ruzen
@@umabhattacharya1970 I saw them in Ottawa and believe they are not even worth $10. I wouldn’t get one even for $6. They were horrible and very low quality
Picked mine up for sale at Home Depot in Ontario $20. Huge and variegation wasn’t bad. New leaf more variegation and another leaf coming definitely showing much more variegation. I love mine. 🇨🇦. She’s beautiful. South window.
I am so jealous that you find such great plants at the big box stores the ones in my area never have the ones you have. And I love watching your vids you give such great info and love when you go plant shopping.
I found my very bubble gum pink princess at Kroger’s for $14 … I have given it lots of love and now needs a moss poll! Patience is a Virtue when it comes to plant trends. 🌸🧕🏻
I live in a small town and we have only Lowe's and Walmart. Our Lowe's rarely have good plants and not anywhere near as many as you have there. Ohhh, it wouldn't do for me to go to a Lowe's like yours!! I'd be broke when I came home. I love that last plant you bought. It's so beautiful. I have no more room for large plants. I can barely move around as it is. I need to live in a greenhouse!
Our local nursery had a lot of pink princesses, but they were too pricy for my budget. They had them on for $49 this summer, but I couldn't do it. They were growing well, and it was hard to walk by. Finally, this week, I popped in and they were $24. I got a really nice one with three nice pink splash leaves and a new one just opened with pink. Patience paid off!
I found my pink princess at Walmart for $25 last week!!! I also found the pink syngonium and syngonium confetti at Kroger, a string of turtles at Lowes and a pineapple plant at Walmart too!! I couldn’t believe it! Luckiest week of my life! Also a Hoya Tricolor at Kroger!!
I just bought $220 worth of plants at my local Lowes in Virginia for only $63! They had a extra 50% off of already clearance prices, and they are in excellent condition! You showed a lot of what I got in the video 😊
I got a beautiful Global Green at my local Lowe's last week, which really surprised me. Compared to the stores you go to, mine have hardly anything good! Home Depot didn't have much and the local Walmarts have either no houseplants or only a handful. I can't wait for the weather to get nicer so they will start carrying more! I sure hope I can find a Pink Princess soon! Stores are starting to carry gardening supplies already so hopefully more plants will start showing up soon too.
Stumbled upon your website this evening, Ashley, and really enjoyed your content and knowledge regarding plants. Have just subscribed. How could I not! Cheers, Darryl
Beautiful plants love them both...I just got a Bird of Paradise at Lowes on clearance 4 ft tall...$25 its big beautiful and already a new leave opening...
A few days before Christmas I found a cast-iron plant aspidistra milky Way in a 10 inch pot it was so healthy I couldn’t Help Buy it for myself. I’ve always wanted one for a long time amazingly easy plant for care for.
I live about 50 miles from Charlotte and our Lowe’s don’t have hardly any plants. It would be great if your explained care tips for the plants when you show them to us. Thanks.
Ashly, have you ever had a plant that came from the nursery with the tiny plastic nursery pot it was started in planted inside the larger pot? I found it when I went to repot a plant that was not growing. Donna
What a great selection of plants, I just love your shopping videos and you’re so knowledgeable on the species. 👍🏼 I’m a Tillandsia collector myself, could you tell us more about the variety of air plants there? I know here in California the Home Depot has a stand of air plants with species labels, fertilizer, wire, kits, woods, & arrangements. I was wondering about your Tilly selection :)
OMG! I CANT BELIEVE that schismatoglottis wallichi you found! I thought it was a calathea. I would of bought that and went yiipping down the street! excellent find. I need to check if my local store has one. what it very much. so pretty.
I enjoy the shopping! Would love it if you could say the specific varieties of the aglaonema that you encounter. That way I will know what to look for when I am trying to find one similar! Happy plant shopping.
Would love to find a confettii still! I do have the white cloud hanging basket peperomia but it has way way more varigation...got it about 6 months ago and it is still doing great! I did get the string of turtles hanging basket for $15...a week ago.....because it was so lush and nice! I have seen other brands of PPP with way more varigation coming out on videos...maybe proven winner brand? Love that brand....If I found the right one I would get another one....I got the happilee yesterday ! It did not look the best but it was so pretty and I know it would perk up! Nice background info! Thanks again for the nice video as always :)
Great find on the Schismatoglottis. Saw 2 (almost dead) ones at Kroger last October. I didn't get one, because it wasn't labeled and I didn't know what they were. After figuring what it was, it was too late. But I Keep looking for them.
Wish Washington state Lowes and even green houses carried plants like these. We get the bare basics and thats it bc it's always so grey and cold here lol
I went groceries last night and saw some “pink princess” plants, but there was little to no variegation. I’m saving my plant money for my trip to Florida! Lol. There’s more in the Midwest but still nothing amazing yet. My Lowe’s had boxes of cold damaged plants. So many plants- about 8 boxes.
Didnt find any pink princess at my lowes for $20. Buuuuut i did find one at walmart for $25! Heck ya! Inspected em all an picked best one. Id post pic if i cud!
my boyfriend just took me plant shopping and we were sooooo sad to see barren and basic plant sections in Mi😔 we were ready to bring home a new baby!!!! that big one would’ve been perfect hahaha
I’m in Michigan too and I went plant shopping at several big box stores a couple of days ago and we don’t have anything to choose from I’ve resorted to ordering online but now it getting too cold to get plants online it’s too risky.
You have such terrific prices in your local stores. Perhaps it is the additional shipping charge to Arkansas that increases the plant prices in my local Wal Mart and Home Depot. But no fear, I'll still purchase a couple.
Went to Lowes and found a big leaf of the snake plant and the lady don't let them see it cause you aren't supposed to get the drop off anymore cause some customers are really talking leaves off now
Schisma....I will get in the $20 trending tropical if I ever ever find one! So so pretty...if I had room for a big one! Yes for sure I hope I find :) yeah!!!
I got a pink princess at my local lowes for 18.99 it was the only one there with a half moon leaf! funnily enough they were all labeled as birkins. Ive heard that has been happening in a lot of places I wonder why lol but it made the plant a whole dollar cheaper so fine by me!
So jealous of the plants you find at your Lowes and HD. I’m in central Florida and our shops don’t get the unusual plants like you do. I’ve been on the hunt for a Manjua Pothos for over a year. I only just found a Cebu Blue at a local family nursery today!!
Wait... 20 dollars for a pink princess is cheap?? I just bought one last week for 5,99 EUR (6,50 USD) on sale. Their normal price is 8,99 EUR or less than 10 USD in the biggest plant store we have in the Netherlands... pot size is 11 cm (4,5 inches) and they're 40 cm (1,3 feet) in length, so it's quite a good size as well.
So jealous of the plants you find at your Lowe's! I live only a few hours away from you in Chapel Hill and it's amazing how we don't get the same stuff. I was able to grab a Pink Princess at mine. The variegation isn't great, but there are two plants in my pot and there's a new leaf about to unfurl that looks to have more pink. I put it in the primo plant spot in my house, with lots of bright indirect light, so fingers crossed for more variegation down the road!
I traveled about 45 min from home to check out a different Home Depot and lowes. Pretty sure i saw pink princess without much variegation. But the rest of everything was ruined. We got hit hard with sun zero temps and power losses and they had full priced dead plants. Super sad.
Just a warning, PPP is mainly genetics. Light and good care can help, but don’t expect half moon deep pink if the plant just genetically doesn’t have it.

Amazing! Our Home Depot has $16 24" whale fin sansevieria - which tower over the 12" one I bought maybe 3 years ago for ~$75
It's amazing how cheap plants are right now when everything else is so expensive........hmmm, strange, huh?

It happened in her last big box shopping video. They made everyone leave the store.
It’s in a previous shopping video. All was fine, but they evacuated us

Pink princess has no varigation lol. Also, the ficus elastics has great variety and is better than pink princess.
