- There is fear today on the freeways in Southern California after a slew of shootings. The latest ended in the death of a 6-year-old boy. Aiden Leos was shot in a road rage attack while sitting in his booster seat on his way to school. It happened after his mother reportedly made a gesture at the driver of a white sedan after he cut her off the carpool lane. Gunfire erupted moments later. The bullet struck the license plate, traveled through the trunk and into the backseat, striking the boy. #InsideEdition
I keep seeing people making excuses how the shooter probably didnt know the kid was in the back. Does that even matter? No normal person shoots at drivers because of roadrage.

Dude, I'm a little concerned at the misplaced blame here. Sorry, but everyone seems to be shaming the mom, but not the actual driver who shot him. Giving the finger may be childish, but that doesn't justify such extreme road rage that you shoot at someone's car. If you honestly can't take someone giving you the finger without resorting to extreme violence, you shouldn't be driving anyways.

I agree but I think adults need to remember that strangers can be dangerous. You have no idea who is driving that car or what kind of anger issues/mental health conditions they might have. Like I would never go flipping people off in the mall. That is just asking to get beat up. Obviously it’s the shooters fault more than anyone, but people really need to keep their emotions to themselves while driving or in public.

California has some of the most rigorous gun control in the nation. Gun control doesn’t work. This is a mental health issue anyway. If a mentally unwell person wants to do something this bad they’ll find a way to do it, gun control or not. Banning gun just disarms the law abiding population, which is why criminals love it.
Stricter gun control will do absolutely nothing as people who do these type of things do NOT obtain thier guns legally. The only thing stricter gun laws do os hinder those who would use it responsibly from protecting themselves from thugs whom obtain them illeagally. How about stricter penalties for those caught with guns whom did not obtain them legally

I doubt that this killer obtained the gun illegally. There’s been lots of people who’ve obtained them legally still end up being killers. And even if the mom and boy had a gun to protect themselves, I doubt that they would’ve been able to respond quickly enough.

I am honestly a toss up, I grew up flipping other drivers off because I didn't like them nearly hitting us as my parents drove. They would tell me to stop, I would refuse. But then when I became a teen, I stopped. I realized how dangerous it could be to express emotion/opinions on the road to other drivers. But that was when my parents started yelling and flipping people off more. Still, not that bad I guess, and nothing ever happened to them. I have a friend who told me about a time that her father was trying to drop her off at her highschool and they almost got hit by some woman.her father was so mad he yelled at her until she got out of her car and came banging on his window and yelled at him, and then started walking back to her car, and HE got out and went and yelled at her and they almost got into a fight. No matter how much his daughter yelled at him to drop it and not do anything, or to get back in the car. Luckily, he finally decided to just take a pic of the lady's plates and report her to the school.
