Transplanting Tomatoes AND Mail Call From the Post Master! Chicks Are IN!

Working in the greenhouse is so therapeutic! Today we start transplanting all the tomatoes started for our spring vegetable plant sale. This will be the first year that we are carefully tracking how many seeds we plant and how many grown plants are left over in June. In past years, we started 3-5 tomato plant varieties, a few broccoli and a handful of herbs. However we never knew exactly what we sold. This year, we selected 21 Tomatoes, 7 peppers, and started 24-36 of each variety for a goal of having about 700 plants available for sale. As of the posting of this video, we have gone back and planted 2 additional plantings of both tomatoes and peppers as we sold out very quickly.
