Thanks Joushi for helping us picking up the pieces, it seems like GW is preparing for a big Krieg meta once the codex drops. Just hope I can field the aquilions as regular sicions so I can still keep using them. May try to switch to Ursula as order giver and make it work with Rough Riders or Armored Sentinels till next update.
So I figured it out, and the final tell was the geometry lesson. You’re not just a geek, you’re a nerd and that’s why I appreciate your breakdowns as much as I do lol. Love the content man. Respect ✊🏼
Just under half our codex (the TC change switched it from being over half) does not have either an army or a detachment rule, and now has no way of getting the army rule.
@@naoway336 Not complaining about the nerfs, complaining that 30 of our 61 data sheets don't have the keywords that enable our army rule, and of that 30, 14 of them have no way of interacting with it at all now.
Great summary. I’ve got the 3 aquilon squads still sitting in the sprues. Came and went before even built (they got a workout on tts). I will not be doing the same with hydras lol
Great video and helped to get me some perspective. I’m not upset at the changes at all, but it’s an extensive list re-write for me as I was never even running Aquilons My Ultramarines are loving life though…
The reason Cadian shock troops got nerfed is because when they are stacked with a Cadian command squad, it has Cadia Stands!: "While this unit contains a Cadian Officer, you can ignore any or all modifiers to the characteristics of models in this unit and to any roll or test made for models in this unit (excluding modifiers to saving throws)." Cadian shock troops ignore Death Guard and other faction debuffs to model ballistic skill, weapons skill, objective control or any rolls involving leadership tests. Nerfing the Cadian shock Troop squad was aimed at making Guard players overlook this combo.
Yeah, as soon as I saw the aquilons point nerf combined with the deep strike nerf. I can't find a use for these anymore. They don't do enough damage to care about they can't steal an objective and they can't even rapid ingress for a possible charge block. They're are sadly garbage now.
@@Booker8991 Well, the points nerf absolutely. The deep strike nerf is not shocking to me but I would not say I was anticipating it. It's not a big deal to me, or guard in my opinion. Other changes had a lot more impact for us.
Does the Overwatch change also mean that i can stage behind a wall and charge my opponent without being overwatched? The strat says the units who overwatches has to see the enemy
I wonder if we will reach the point of either orders can go anywhere from an officer and each officer having access to specific orders like the commissar or having an on foot squadron command squad.😊
About Ursula Creed: in the updated Index it says that her ability works "once per battle round", while in the app it says "once per turn". Which version is correct? Another difference: in the app we can find the new Ratlings datasheet, while in the downloadable Index there is the old one, without the new stuff from the kill team squad. At the same time, Lord Solar is updated in the pdf.
@Joushi40k considering that the Hive Tyrant has the same ability, and it says "once per turn", I suppose that this is the right version, but we will wait for the errata.
Nothing like waking up to my new list being 115 points over. Not going to my local RTT at the end of the month now. Too much has changed to adapt in 3 weeks.
well, all changes based of how popular a unit is, not at all related to what a unit does in the game. complete garbage, i dont want to play anymore, 40k is dead.
Also should note lord solar cant even order himself now lol
Unfortunately he needs more gym badges :)
hilarious that he could though
I believe he can order the squad he's in though, and the order would be carried over onto him,

HAH happy to be of service
Imagine having an ARMY RULE but a lot of units in the ARMY can never be interacted with it. Insane crap design by GW here.

Imagine complaining about AM army nerfs, I play sisters.
and a Detachment rule aswell
@mdwriedt geeeze I didn't even think about that.

understandable
i love my aquilon models and some day they will be good again (hopefully in one month when we get our codex)
your Aquilons had their day in the sun a fair bit longer than my CSM Warp Talons did, despite how short it lasted. :-P
the points nerf is a "what does David Gaylard like to bring" price it till he stops playing guard
just gotta track what he most recently played against Josh Roberts
@@Joushi40k servitor meta incoming
@@Joushi40k I'm hopeful even if my list went up 315 points
Yea a focused video on the guard love it ❤️

My Ultramarines are loving life though…
I feel like a 15 point hike on chimeras was a bit much.
Yeah I think it ought to have been 80 but it is what it is
Would have been fine if they left catachans alone, but no, kill mech guard.
No more orders on my baneblades... 😮💨
Yeah this is what I’m saddest about. They at least could have dropped in points to balance it off
I love baneblades very sad it will sit next to my never used Knight Warden
:( yeah very sad that the Stormsword I was playing before will have to wait for the codex
I appreciate your efforts in trying to make me win more games.
Goodnight, sweet ponyboy…
Reject aquilons, embrace callidus
Swap bulgryn for rough riders

yeah... i'm not sure i would have played them at 90 with 6" deep strike, at 110 they're just not worth it
Didn't people see this coming?

The guy who bought three boxes of KillTeam Hivestorm to use 3 units of quillons must be sad now.
deserved for meta chasing lowkey
Ysing at riders as new action monkies
Rapid ingress in and they can sprint anywhere
I WAS playing a scions based build-ogryn build. I'm still shocked LOL
Great Work!

Ask your TO because I've seen the Creed one ruled both ways

I like how they promote a unit with imba rules, looking at you aquilons.
Only to nerf them into the ground a couple of weeks later...
Would love to hear your elaboration on ratlings' strengths
They're mostly just annoying move blockers right now since their damage is pretty anemic, when I get some reps with them I'll have more to say
Good thing i only have 1 box of aquillons. But i am sad i didnt get to use them

:( you can probably just drop a unit of aquilons and change a battleline to infantry, you should still go!
@ that’s the best part. I wasn’t bringing Aquilons! But I think I made something serviceable until the codex. Just casual games for me until then.
the infantry squad not changing makes me think itll be gone with the codex :(
Yeah...
My 300 man meat mountain list!!! QQ
Not the man meat mountain...
Well, looks like the shadowswords I just finished will be a bit less helpful.
pray for the codex :)
