There's a chain of dollar store around here that has a lot of these "bad cougar" fake Barbies. I'm tempted to buy some but they go for nearly as much as a real Barbie.
Same with my fake dolls… 😅 Or they were just random strangers or the 3rd best friend or the evil mom (I mostly played Cinderella-like stories with my dolls).
I used to get my bootleg Barbies from Big Lots and they were decent quality no bald patches no twig legs like what is going on? 😂
Child me once bought a cheap knock off Barbie to play the nanny character (while my real Barbies and Kellys were the mother and children). But she was much worse quality than Ardana. The cheap Barbie knock off dolls in Malaysia have even cheaper plastic than the cheap dolls shown on this channel.
we've come to the point where the knock-offs aren't that much worse than the originals.... at least they don't have painted on fashion! 😂

I don't understand what's so wrong with purchasing a "knock off" barbie for a younger girl.
For example, as a child I would buy a lot of fake babies with my small allowance. I was happy with having lots of dolls, real barbie or not...they were still just fun to play with!
Then when I became a bit older I began to collect Barbie's and obviously when it comes to collecting you want the "real" thing.
Other than that, a doll is a doll, and that goes the same with any "knock off" toy... very young kids don't really know the difference they are just happy to have them!
@@chelseamercer3825 The main issues lie in the dolls not really being strictly regulated by safety administrations and often having dangerous chemicals in them due to how cheaply they're produced.

I actually really like Ardana's box. I feel like she should be marketed towards adult collectors than to kids.

my niece got a fake barbie for her birthday and I'm shocked with the quality, she's articulated and comes with 10 accessories
the only problem is her hair, she is kinda bald in some spots but the doll is pretty nice
I got a lot of cheap dolls from Dollar General growing up and tbh some of them weren’t too bad! You can get some decent stuff from there sometimes
I am a 55 yr old man who has collected dolls since 1995. As a six yr old in 1973 I so wanted Barbie but only got Ken 😪
Omg !!!! Exact same story, except I got my first ken in 1995 on my 7th birthday !!!! When I was asking so bad for a Barbie, my parents prepared this huge G.i Joe party, with all my classmates, neighbors and extended family at this giant event field, when my parents took me to the mall before the event, I literally gravited to the pink alley as usual, lol knowing it was my special day and they wouldn't say no!!!!! Lol, my parents face was like PLS dont do this to us TODAY 😭😭😭 BUT they had to allow me somehow, plot twist they got me my first Ken!!!! it wasn't Barbie but at least it meant something.,.... Cause my cousin had the roller skating Barbie and this was the roller skating Ken !!!!!! And I loved him !!!!!!!! Cause it was Barbie stuff, and everyone knew and everyone at my party was like WTF
50 YO here, nearly started to collect when Integrity toys did new JEM dolls [As I really wanted the originals as a kid , see comment on previous vid] but they're super expensive and I knew I'd want them all, so watch Doll collector RUclipss instead, its kinda/sorta like having a friend whos got the things you want and you get to see them

Here in Brazil we have our own "official" fake Barbies, the most famous is 'Susi' from Estrela, she has glass eyes and real eyelashes, there's also a family of them from brink+:Paula(Kelly/Chelsea) that has a lot of mini house playsets, João, Lullie(barbie) she's kinda cute and has a lot of cool playsets too and Mike(ken) he has rubber arms and legs that make him super heavy for a doll.

It seems like the reason for that boils down to the Chinese market doesn't like molded on clothes. I imagine the American market doesn't either, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the molded on clothes is to appease a certain crowd that complains about finding naked dolls in their kid's play area.

Oh yes yes. In Brazil toys/doll's so EXPANSIVE. 🤢🤢🤢🤢. So i mix diferent Heads and bodies, to make a good doll.
I wonder on why some countries don’t have good doll selection. In South Africa there are different doll variety, it not as good as in Turkey or UK I think. You can’t get a BTS doll here.
@@zigzig9938 i think it’s just better to order dolls from amazon like the way i always want to do. it’s up to the company that import the dolls that choose what to import. but if you buy the dolls online by your own regardless of the tax and shipping, you can still get any doll that you want, just not as easy as in america.

I so needed this video tonight! Love the fake doll reviews so much! The first doll is everything parents hate about fashion dolls all rolled into one. Her face sculpt is kind of cool, I'm getting Integrity Fashion Royalty vibes mixed with My Scene. Her clothes are still more interesting than the Fashionistas, I kind of want that news print top though. The face on the second doll is actually super cute!

I'm honestly surprised at the quality of these dolls...they have real fashion!!! It's such a shape that their body sculpts aren't of a higher quality, but they definitely surpass some of the other fake dolls you have reviewed 😂 I love this series and your reactions are adorable hilarious xD

Exactly 10 years ago I bought dolls that look a lot like the first one you presented. I have several with this physique, I also have blondes (straight hair / curly hair) and brunettes (black hair) as well as some with faces copied from the My Scene.
The line is called VIP Modèle (it's in french) and I found about fifteen different models who have copied Barbie and My Scene.
They are called Angie, Lisa among others.
I recognize a few materials used, and the way of gluing the elements is the same. Indeed they have shoes copied from those of My Scene. There are also square shaped brushes and handbags similar to the My Scene ones.
I did a little sewing restoration and repaired a lot of details. I still have these dolls and unfortunately one of them has her neck broken.
All my childhood in one video, especially the big boots that broke and kept falling off the doll's feet 😂

Loving these fake doll videos. 🤣 The first knock off doll Ardana, could bring inspiration for a toy company to make a tattoo line marketed towards adult collectors as tattoos are symbolic in a way.

I am boy but i collect doll too. Tbh singapore is the hardest to find exclusive doll and it is 3 times more expensive than US or english country😭😭😭 still i love all dolls
The first doll was cute, I love how more adult centered she was. Also the trousers looked much better when you took that ugly belt off. Not a fan of the color combination of her outfit but overall she was cute. It was clever how they covered her bald spot.
The second doll has a cute outfit but I hated her hair color combination. Her shoe breaking was hilarious. I think the first doll was better.

Get a Jan Mc Lean Lillipop doll.... I think you would enjoy them and they are nice quality for the price... I want to hear your commentary on those... Tattoo fake Barbie reminds me of the Bild Lilli doll from Germany, the doll that Barbie was based off of. The Bild Lilli doll was a men's bar toy and was based off of a sexist risque cartoon. Maybe that's what they were going for--all that toplessness and all. Actually I like a few of the fashion dresses. They remind me of paper dresses that were a fad in the 1960s.

At least the 2nd one didn't have the horrible stick legs, although she was see- through plastic, but the concept of the tattoos on the 1st one were kinda cool, but they could have been more tasteful, I think 🤔

The fact that knock off dolls have nice fashion compare to the barbie fashion nowadays. This dolls have different textures and piece while barbie nowadays just have a flat piece of clothing with printed on designs

I'm curious: were the additional outfits for the second doll actually usable? I bought a knockoff fashion pack once, and I don't know who designed them, but it obviously wasn't someone who actually played with dolls. The dresses were stylish BUT had no velcro or elastic. As a result, the dresses could neither be pulled down over the head and shoulders nor from the legs up over the hips, because the narrow waist had no give. I think 3 out of the 5 dresses were essentially useless, for that reason.

I have seen the cheeks shot pic elsewhere and similar art in that style. I can't think of their names but there is a Russian artist and a South Korean artist that use this style. I've used their art as profile pictures many times on my social accounts.

Cool! I love to reroot clones to give them a full head of hair. Then I put them on Barbie bodies. I like my dolls to have different faces.
I would love to see a doll re painter take a shot at some of these better ones lol, I mean if they have a decent sculpt all you’d need is some re rooting and a good face up. And obviously something with those legs😂😂😂

I came across my first nock of Barbie, and it was really well made. It took me a moment to realize it wasn’t actually Barbie. Like I’m not talking about cheaply fake dollar store “Barbie’s” those are easy to identify. But this one, I was surprised by it was so well done

Our TJMAXX has this brand called Steffi Love, that looks exactly like real Barbies. I have no idea how they got away with it. Especially since I live in the USA where our copyright laws are insane.
Those dolls existed since i was a kid, so about 30 years now. And there's also the Sindy dolls by Hasbro. I suspect they may have won some lawsuits in the past, based on some technicality.
