Ah sorry to hear that , the product is very good. I did a quick search and found this link - the reviews seem positive but I can't recommend as I've not used them , but thought you might want to have a look - www.mohow.co.uk/store/p/angles-morts-suction-cup-removable-top-quality-signs
Just found your chanel, we are planning a trip to Europe and Spain especialy next year , great watching and lots of valuable info for our first European road trip, well done 👍
Great tips! The recovery tip was interesting, a friend had a heart attack in France, airlifted to hospital, leaving wife and dog in an over 3.5t MH and she didn't have C1 on her licence. Believe or not he's a C1 driving instructor for trainee paramedics!! Have you ever come across reverse polarity on a hook up? I bought a standard 3 pin adaptor for £6 and swapped the wiring over. It's in the garage with the bags of LPG and hose connectors!
Thanks Paul , we do still come across reverse polarity periodically, it's reducing year by year but usually a couple of times a trip. Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin
Fab video Martin and perfect timing for us. Our Smarty SIM card will only allow us 12g when in France so we’ll need to find somewhere to buy a Pay as You Go SIM card when we arrive. We have the 3 adapters for our Gaslow but don’t have any for filling up with water so will need to look out for those also. Thanks for sharing as it’s been very helpful for us. Irvine & Karen.
Great content as ever Team H&M, we're just back from Northern Spain and France, your previous vlogs have been a big help🙌🙏 we used Nomad for an esim, got 20gb for £24, it was really easy to install and use...
That’s great to hear guys , we love Northern Spain . We hope you had a great time. Thanks for your kind comments and for watching . Best wishes Helen and Martin
Martin great info. I'm from Ireland and can we buy the Sim card in France and use it in our own phones. At the moment we have unlimited data but it's costing us. Thanks Nora.
Hi Nora , thanks for watching , in answer to your question in theory yes , you might need to check that your phone is not locked to one provider , as it can be if you have the phone on a contract . You can get it unlocked of course , we use the local SIM in the Motorhome Wifi. Best wishes Helen and Martin
Hi Kevin thanks for watching , you adaptors are available from most DIY shops or amazon. This kind of thing, basically the more options the better. www.amazon.co.uk/Connectors-Plastic-Threaded-Connector-Attachments/dp/B0BX468SD3/ref=sr_1_51?crid=3MX17G09TXRBZ&keywords=tap+adapter+for+hose+pipe&qid=1690379679&sprefix=tap+adapt%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-51 . Thanks for watching Helen and Martin
A fantastic 10 min of excellent advice. I’m planning on touring with a Tesla and Roof tent or lightweight caravan. I will be sure to bring my Irish passport too!
Thank you Martin, that is really helpful. Like yourselves we will be traveling with pets and in a Motorhome over 3.5 tons. Could I please ask if you recommend the caravan and Motorhome club for insurance through France and Spain? Many thanks for this helpful vlog.
Hi Mike and Donna , thanks for watching . We only use the CMAC Red Pennant Service, based on our conversations with people who have had to claim with them, who have over the years told us consistently they were excellent. They are very easy to deal with basically have our confidence. Hope that helps Best wishes Helen and Martin
Great video. Thank you. What muzzle did you buy for Poppy? Our dog hates the one we got so want to try something softer and more open so we can still give treats etc. Saw on your other videos that this was possible with the one you had bought.
Hi Lizzie, we bought Poppy a soft mesh muzzle from Pets at Home. I went into the shop with her so we could try it on to make sure it was the right size and fitted her correctly. She can take treats when she is wearing it. Hope that helps, thanks for watching. H&M. 😀
@@helenandmartinsTreks Thank you. They don’t seem to stock a soft mesh muzzle any longer so we’ve ordered one from Amazon in what we hope is the right size!
Thank you for some very useful information. Could I ask what satnav you use ( where you can input your vehicles dimensions and weight)? We are planning our first European trip next year in our motorhome and my research on satnavs is getting more and more confusing. Thanks. Lesley
Hi Lesley we use an Garmin Avtex Tourer 2 , it's been a good buy for us. Version 3 is now available - if you are a Caravan and Motorhome Club Member there is a discount available on this through the club shop. Here is the link shop.caravanclub.co.uk/product/1045641/avtex-tourer-three-sat-nav-gps . We are really glad you enjoyed the video , if there is anything else we can help you don't hesitate to give us a shout. Thanks for watching , Helen and Martin
Hi, we are thinking of visiting southern spain next winter for approx. 2 months in our campervan for the first time. Have you got any tips for tge best value sites? We dont really want to pay 30€ a night for 2 months. Thanks Steven & Maureen
Hi Steve and Maureen - the best way I can suggest is to look at the Apps such as Search for Sites , Camper Contact and Park for Nights and look at using the aires and sites located there. Prices for the good sites have increased there's no doubt . ACSI Cards can help out of peak season - webshop.acsi.eu/en?aff=1960&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwO20BhCJARIsAAnTIVQXHE0M9NJc5e6xTyRO8xHg3mDpARRILyDXPKUx3sPwKdwUpbcAZPgaAkQ3EALw_wcB . Also check out Espana Discovery , you can park on different places free in return for eating there or buying something from a shop etc . espana-discovery.es/en?logged_in_customer_id=&lang=en Permitted off grid free parking is at a premium so don't leave it too late on the date to arrive on a municipal park up. Hope that helps , safe travels Helen and Martin
Regarding EU roaming, both myself on Asda and kids on Giffgaff had fair use cap of just 5gb. We bought new rolling goody bags for them but mine wouldn't allow me to start new bundle until new month kicks in. Husband uses EE with much more data so he was able to hot-spot me for our last few days. Not ideal.
Hi Deborah , it's a mess isn't it. We use EE on our phones and then buy a local PAYG Data only SIM from which ever country we land in. Hope that helps , thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin.
@@helenandmartinsTreks Great content! You've given us the confidence to get to Europe and stay on stellplatz / park 4 night etc. In the UK we prebook all the time but turning up on spec worked well in Europe (to Copenhagen). We enjoyed Bremen after your video too. Very inspiring. Thanks H&M 👍
