Right on my friend! There are so many good ones, especially when you consider the extensive list of models they have produced over the past many years. But the deluxe tinker is amazing. I own one and I love it.
Hey paddy!!! Thank you for watching my video! Your an inspiration to my channel. If you go back and watch my first posted video, I shout you out in it! I love your channel! Keep up the great work my friend. However…..because of you I have recently found some new beauties for the collection, Jack Wolf knives! I have purchased 4 models since you turned me on to them. I will tell you…..my wife is not happy about it LOL. I just blame you! LoL. Love what you do bro! I have also been reaching out to Ashley Harrison for custom but I can’t get ahold of him. Man, so much to tell you. You made my day. Thanks man and take care! And thank you for your authentic and beautiful contributions to the knife community. You sir……..are a gem!
The Explorer is one of my favourite EDCs. You're right that the magnifying glass comes in handy (or is just fun) more often and you might expect. I actually have a Woodsman that's the Explorer + Wood Saw (ie. Huntsman+Explorer) and it's pretty much perfect paired with some mini locking pliers.
@@averageknifeguy83 I hadn't foreseen such a great model would ever be discontinued, but alas it and many other gems are no longer available. There's also the Modeler (Explorer + Metal Saw/File) that would be a great EDC, but again discontinued. Lots of models that I wish I could have gotten more before they were discontinued. They tend to cost a premium even in questionable shape. If you're able to modify them, they can be somewhat reasonable. I had to make my Cadet X because to me that's one of the very best daily carries for urban life.
@@Thirsty_Fox yes!! I made my first mod last month. Very enjoyable and not that difficult. I took a Bantam and added 84mm scissors to it. Absolutely sweet carry. I believe Victorinox once made a model like that called the voyager. And yea…..discontinued lol. I will be doing a video shortly on my new and first mod, so you will get a chance to see it. Do you have any suggestions for cool combinations of tools for future mods? Maybe some you have done or seen?
I don't like that the corkscrew sits a bit higher than the scales. Vics with a back side Phillips feel better in the hand to me (and Alox without any back tools even better). But the in-line Phillips is even better than the one in the back, and the corkscrew is also great for holding stuff like the mini tools (or tinder + FireAnt).
Yes I totally understand about the corkscrew. I have always preferred the driver. However….I have started working in an office and I own desert boots and other casual shoes for the office. They all come with laces that tighten up real nice but are a pain in the ass to untie. The corkscrew takes care of it right away. Very useful for me now lol!! And yes….Alox models are great. My next vid is featuring a very special Alox SAK!!! Stay tuned. Thanks for watching!!!
I'll have to add that Barlow on a list somewhere lol. I've managed to snag a few GECs new at normal prices too. Definitely nice knives for sure, and I love the victorinox knives I think I have 15 of them at this point. But have you tried out the rough ryder reserve models yet? I bought 2 last year and for around $50 they're not half bad at all.
Thanks for watching!!! Yes. I own 3. They are very nice. The Barlow, gunstock lockback and the I just hit the new one that features a nice wharncliffe and a cool seahorse shape. It’s my favorite so far.
I'm guessing you're only discussing the 91mm knives ? Because the Victorinox Hercules has by far the best Phillips screwdrivers in the entire range. The Manager & Mini Champ also have a better Phillips screwdriver.
Thanks for watching!!! I only own 91’s, 84’s, 74’s, and 54s and a bunch of 93 Alox models The the driver on the explorer which I am carrying everyday now!
Love my deluxe tinker, I think it’s the best model sak. 😊

Classic assortment of cutlery and a cool video buddy 👌

The woodsman is awesome! I do want one for my collection, but they are hard to find and when you do….they are expensive$$$

Wow the titanium Barlow is beautiful! My old Barlow has two blades though one big one small.
I have some two bladed Barlow as well. The Barlow is an awesome pattern. One of my favorites for a traditional.
Great video! Love the super tinker ! Cool new knives for your collection! Thanks for sharing these!
Huntsman and a Fieldmaster are my carry sak’s
The GEC and the barlow are very interesting and cool!
Thank you so much! And thanks for watching again!!!

I installed pocket clips on all my swiss army knives. Much nicer.
