Thank you for being honest in your review. I’m still on the fence about getting this knife but it was nice to know you still love it in spite of its unpopular issues.
Nice overview. With the backspring as weak as it is, I think I will go with the less stabby sheepsfoot blade and use it for mainly slicing chores. I think this will be a nice secondary knife.
Really thorough review. I have the Proper sheepsfoot, I adore it. I've been looking for a sweet lanyard to put on it. I like the EDC knives that are not so coveted. I also got the bug-out mini for what you paid for the regular size. I prefer the proper. Sub'd!
I have a Fox Nauta that I bought from KSF for half the price of the Proper It looks almost the same except it has a choil and 420HC steel I believe Knife Magazine picked it as their knife of the year in 2017 and I love it I would recommend it as a knife to consider alongside the Proper
I’m a Benchmade fan. I have several. That is a good looking knife but I’m just not into slip joints for edc. Good breakdown of this knife though. Thanks
@@dylan-gh5ll Same here..Ordered 2 really wanted one a few years back, but wasn't gonna pay today's prices. Pretty sure all models launched at 109...I might be wrong. Cheers
I just ordered a Benchmade Proper with a sheep’s foot blade. I’m anxiously awaiting its delivery.

Great looking knife! I like that design!

Love mine. I got the S90v in carbon fiber.
Yeah I own the S90V and carbon fiber version and honestly it serves me quite well and it opens and closes perfectly fine far as I'm concerned 🤷♂️

Benchmade has now discontinued the Proper, once third party vendors sell out, that’s it.
In stock on bladehq...$109.00
Just bought one, have been on the fence for a long time but at 109$ in this economy I’ll take it. Especially since it’s discontinued
