Hi Oscar. I've just bought your transcription and discovered it some minutes ago. As some said here, it's an amazing work. Thank you and hats off to you.
Francis
It’s been years since reading sheet music. I’m very happy that I was able to follow along. Great job
9/8, 5/8, 9/8, 5/8, 5/8 ( 4 times )
12/8, 8/8, 8/8, 9/8, 5/8, 9/8, 7/8 ( 1 time )
9/8, 5/8, 9/8, 5/8, 5/8. ( 6 times )
12/8, 8/8, 8/8, 9/8, 5/8, 9/8, 8/8 ( 1 time )
Then chorus in 4/4.
So there's a 33/8 pattern, then a 58/8 pattern. When the vocal start there's a 33/8 pattern, then a 59/8 pattern, and Chorus is binary
My brain hurts!
Wow, man, what an amazing transciption work you have done!!! Keep it on!!!
Man, i bought you Invencible score and its is soooo perfect!! I cant wait to start study this Pneuma transcription. Plz keep the excelent job!
Respect! you are the boss!
Great Work!
Thank you for this!
Mil gracias Danny, está es una clase magistral de percusión.
Wooohoooo!
At first glance, WOW ! great job ! I'm pretty sure it's an open double stroke roll starting at bar 121 though.
Just curious whether you considered an 11/8 phrasing rather than the 6/8 to 5/8 and back phrasings. One of my favorite music professors liked to say there's no more important piece of music notation than the bar line. This is so out there though - I love your transcript and I hope to work it up at some point!
He has to write it like that, because for each of the 5|4 phases, they are counted different. Some are 12123 and some are 12312. Nobody actually counts to five, and as it is written it makes it clear where the accent/phrasing is. but when I play odd meters I always think in twos and threes, it’s way less confusing than trying to keep track of 11s
descending from tool would be awesome!
thats a good, work man, but have you thought about a 11/8 at main rhythm?
Hi Oscar, thank you for your amazing work! do you might have the note of the tabla too? I suppose they're tuned in D monour, but....
It exists! It is around the web, just search for it.
What software do you use for the notation?
MuseScore 2.
Hello, what does (2 + 3) and (3 + 2) mean under 5/8 thank you
2/8+3/8
@@oscarj Sorry but I do not understand
@@jcmarechal1957 you can group 5 in sets of 2s and 3s. Its about how you phrase the five beats. 2+3=5 or 3+2+5. Instead of counting "12345" count "12123" or "12312" and accent the "1" with your voice.
At bar 139 what do those parentheses mean ( ), open the hi hat partially?
yes, it is called sizzle.
@@oscarj thank you!
Hello! I just bought "Pneuma" via PayPal. How can I get possession of the sheet music? Are you sending me a download link or...? Thank you!
Hi my friend. I just sent the files to your email.
@@oscarj I just received it! Thank you!
But is wrong if u put everything in 4/4 all the time xD if it's written correctly it fits
This is imposible
It’s like trying to read a fucking tartan.
What's with your goofus 5/8 - 6/8 interpretation? The song is actually built around 12/8 phrases. Should be written something like 2/8 - 12/8 - 2/8 - 12/8 - 5/8. Just because you CAN divide 33 beats into 11 doesn't mean 11 has anything to do with the song.
Main metter is still 6/8 or 12/8, if you like.
I'm surprised I can even read this.....
1-2-3-1-2-3,1-2-3-1-2-3,1-2-1-2-3,1-2-3-1-2-3,,,I’m out.
Try this:
easy
1,2
1,2,3,4,5,6,
1,2,3,4,5,6,
1,2,
1,2,3,4,5,6,
1,2,3,4,5,6,
1,2,
1,2,3,
repeat.
Exactly. This sheet music is not the proper way to notate this song. The way the melody works, should be something like 2/8 - 12/8 - 2/8 - 12/8 - 5/8. Built around 12/8 phrases with some added gut punches in between.
@@Friend_of_the_One-Eyed_Ladies as long as it’s not triplets in 3/4
What a bonkers and confusing way to interpret the meter. Fail.
Then do your's!
