I bought this album in 1990 and saw Soundgarden live in LA a few months later.

So even live they are storytelling... . We all know what happened on their last tour with Soundgarden. After that was the CC Tribute concert where Taylor sang this with Soundgarden and others. So she uses this song to bridge between where they lasty were in a live setting, to now. Brilliant.

The Pretty Reckless. Back story. The lead singer is Taylor Momsen. She played Cindy Loo Hoo alongside Jim Carey in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and later Little J on Gossip Girl until she negotiated her way out and quit acting so she could focus on music. Phenomenal voice. They hit #1 with their first 4 consecutive single releases. It's never been done b4 by a female fronted rock band. They released their 1st album 12 yrs. ago when she was just 16. They released 3 albums between 2010 and 2016 and then seemed to dissappear for 5 yrs. until their latest album came out last year. In 2017 they were touring with Soundgarden. They opened for them the night b4 Chris Cornell took his life. Taylor took it hard and struggled with it shutting everything down. A year later 2018 she contacted her best friend and band manager since the beginning and told him she was ready to start writing and working on music again. A month later he died in a motorcycle crash. Taylor fell apart and fell victim to heavy drug abuse and depression before getting herself and the band back together. Finally in 2021 they dropped their latest album. Some good ones to check out uf you haven't already. Starting from the earlier stuff to the most recent.

⬆️⬆️ off their latest album and a tribute to their band manager. He would freq use the phrase "death by Rock and roll" and there's a verse about dying in a motorcycle crash, which is how he died. This acoustic was recorded during quarantine.
