@wayamaya I agree. Rock isn’t really at the fore front in popularity nowadays, so of course they are as appreciated by the masses. However, I don’t think they are underrated because they do get lots of praise within rock scope of things...at least I think so. I mean they get pretty heavy rotation of rock stations.

@@savagewaitersI strongly suggest looking outside the US for great vocal talent. Nightwish, Amaranth, and Within Temptation have amazing female vocalists.
Floor Jansen of Nightwish is actually a trained opera singer (and my god her and Marko Hetalia singing Ava Maria is gorgeous) if you want something a bit slow Nightwish's Lanternlight just came out and is very sedated, Ghost Love Score is a bit faster paced and louder but let's her show off her vocal range.
Amaranth is an unusual mix as it's a trio of vocalists with clean male/female vocals and harsh male vocals on most songs with a few exceptions like "endlessly" which is just Elize singing and was written by their guitarist and songwriter for his wedding.
Sharon Den Adel of Within Temptation has an absolutely gorgeous voice without effort that is more on the higher octaves and breathy (kinda weird how most European bands will sound the same in concert and on the album without issue).
And if you want a male vocalist that can shame pretty much any living singer with his range Yannis Papadopoulos of Beast in Black has a few songs that could easily be a duet for most people if he didn't have a 7+ octave range and classical opera training (also noticing that a LOT of Finnish and Norwegian bands have vocalist with Opera training.)

    My evening went like this...
Tired as f*ck, ton of work to be done till tomorrow, unable to write single line of programming code anymore...
Decided to play first and last YT video, Pretty Reckless recommended.
Gave it a chance. Video started, quite a classy blonde, not impressed, professional procrastinator higher standard applied.
She started singing... Holly f*cking sh*it!!! Lost like an hour banging, crazy dancing, singing along... energized like nuclear plant started coding while listening over and over..., till 4 am wrote 51 new files, 33 modified, including unit tests and it bloody f*cking worked!
If I have one wish at the death bed, It could be to forget the song and hear it again for the first time.

This song is about Robert Johnson. A 1930s blues player from the Mississippi delta and easily the single most influential person on American music that ever lived.
The legend is that he went to the crossroads in Mississippi and sold his soul to the devil in exchange for tuning his guitar. After that he went from mediocre guitar player to being able to do things most guitar heros still can't do today. Damn it's always nice seeing modern artist still paying respect to him.

Daniel Babineau It's something most female celebrities do, especially those who are in the showbiz since childhood. I guess they to it in order to shock the audience and say "Hey, I'm not that child from blablabla anymore, I've got my own style and personality, I am grown up".
Then, when people get the message, celebrities like Taylor or Miley Cyrus start to calm down, they stop being half naked and caring about what people think about them.
At this point, their only focus is their career, and that's when they evolve and improve their skills.

This vid was/is a game changer for me. I had to comment to let you know that you have Much Love coming from me, here in NC .. I love every song that you’ve produced and have them all downloaded to my personal playlist. This genre of Rock that you created yourself and went against the grain, is absolutely incredible. Every song relates to my life in one way or the other. I’m a 61 yr old “Rocker” who grew up in the 70’s which is the decade that set records in the “Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll” categories, which will never be broken.. Ever !! The point I’m trying to make here is, that your music will forever prevail the test of time, and will be just like fine wine.. Better as it ages. [Verse 1]
    Been waitin' at these crossroads
    Forever and a day
On a guy to buy my soul
I spend all night and day
How much harder can I play?
You know I gave my life to rock n' roll
    Here we go
    [Verse 2]
    Mama begged me please
Yes, she got down on her knees
Said "you'll burn in that Mississippi sun"
But I'm the only one that's standing here
So mama don't you have no fear
I'm either last or I've already won
    Here I go
    [Chorus]
    Take me down
    Take me down
    Take me down
    Won't you take me down
    [Verse 3]
    Standing at the crossroads
A dried up pen in hand
    The conversation went like this
"Tell me your desire why you pulled me from the fire and we'll seal the deal with a kiss"
Said "I wanna raise the dead
Find a note that I can shred
On my walls I scrawl my gods
Don't care what happens when I die
    As long as I'm alive
All I wanna do is rock, rock, rock"
    [Chorus]
    Take me down
    Take me down
    Take me down
    Won't you take me down
    [Bridge]
Oh, sign with the devil, sign with the devil, sign with the devil Oh!
Sign with the devil, sign with the devil, sign with the devil
    Oh!
Sign with the devil, sign with the devil, sign with the devil
    Oh!
Sign with the devil, sign with the devil, sign with the devil
    Oh!
    [Chorus]
    Take me down
    Take me down
    Take me down
    Won't you take me down
    [Outro]
    Take me down
(Sign with the devil, sign with the devil, sign with the devil)
    Take me down
(Sign with the devil, sign with the devil, sign with the devil, oh)
    Won't you take me down
(Sign with the devil, sign with the devil, sign with the devil)
    (I got a record deal)

Nathan Green Dude the song is not about her , it's about a Mississippi blues singer named Robert Johnson who supposedly sold his soul to the devil for fame ! And he met the devil at the crossroads..... Now you know !

Just saw them in Maplewood, Mn, Effing awesome! Taylor was number one awesome! The Pretty Reckless were just as awesome as Taylor was!! Taylor has one of the most awesome bands that ever was!! During "messed up world", the drummer proceeded with an awesome 10 minute solo! As he was done as the crowd is cheering, he got his phone out and recorded the crowd!

Just don't wear a West Coast Choppers T shirt to the event! The scull on the back of it seemed to attract young women enough so that some were actually pushing their boobs into my back and arms! Oh! and it seemed to attract young dickhead males too! Dumbass blabbermouths!! Shee-it! I am getting too old!

I see the old story of going down to the crossroads, meeting Old Splitfoot & selling your soul for magic in your music is alive & well... Robert Johnson might like it, if he were alive to hear it today. The blues will never die.
