Agreed totally. A friend from the past got to meet Slash from Guns N' Roses, and he said it was the coolest experience ever. They were backstage, got to have a few beers together, and Slash even had the runner who got whatever the band needed to get the buddy a pack of smokes (for free!!!!!).

Realizing that my trauma created an abusive person and how desperately I do not want to be that person anymore and how I can't help how I feel, but I can help and change my behaviors and not treat people the way I used to. I relate to this song in a multitude of ways, and that scares me a little bit. A lot, actually. I never, ever want to treat my love like this. I'm so careful sometimes because I realize that if this relationship goes toxic it'll be on me, not him.

Lzzy is incredible anyway - but the raw anger in her voice, in this track, perfectly encapsulates how all who have been in emotionally abusive/narcissistic relationships feel when the narc tires of them: missing the the person who we still think loved us, but at the same time glad they're gone.

I absolutely agree!! I will admit to never having come across them before seeing them in support of Alter Bridge last year and they really are phenomenal!! And wow can Lizzie Hale sing!!! I've seen AB a few times now and they never make it easy for themselves, they always give themselves a tough act to follow and Halestorm were no exception!!
I saw em open for Godsmack in Madison 2019, and now about to see em in September opening for Godsmack again at hog havoc in Milwaukee, sleep theory and nothing more will b the first 2 bands and they’re also great too

She actually confirmed that you're right on twitter 5 years ago. This song is a metaphor for our relationship with misery and how much we crave it, she specifically cited alcohol as an example.
There are a lot of parallels between the two, from what I've heard.
Some rich guys are addicted to money-making and that is not very good for society at large.

Not entirely true. Evanescence won a Grammy for 'hard rock performance' for Bring Me To Life in 2004 and then Halestorm one for 'hard rock/metal performance' for Love Bites in 2013. Both bands throughly deserve it, for being awesome in their own unique ways. I love both!
