She is amazing that voice transcends you into the song and all of her songs the band is amazing as well, why is this band not playing every where so underrated.
It has a mournful feeling and it's likely you will interpret it in a way that resonates with you. That and it has a good ending segment that sounds uplifting/hopeful.
I love this song. She has the perfect voice for this song and lyrics are just amazing. So true to the world we live in today with being fed this life is so beautiful until you walk out your door and see what the real world is. She just puts the world into lyrics and the crazy world we live in today. I love the fact she writes her own lyrics and have not heard a bad song from her. We have some critics however we all have our own beliefs in this life.
My name is Mike Magwire. I'm part of the Pickens Clan in upstate New Hampshire. My mother is Linda Pickens. The same one from the GG Allin track. Once I heard the singer was a fan of Maine, this hit as far home as home ever was. Thank You! Forever. Thank you.
Drive to spokane. Look at the empty ir hack the cam system. Children aren't reason sf doesnt raise kids. Ying yang fucking against are. Dirty there possed regardless this house is theres too most. Donrmt realize. That Mexicans. Americans do if tgere pissed. Then
I absolutely love this. What a song. Lyrically as well as instrumental. Everything just works here. This is the type of music I myself would love to be making.
Talent like this is more than just amusement, the ability to make people cry when they need to is equally important as the ability to make them smile, and Taylor can do both at the same time.
Her voice is perfect for her music...nuanced, rich and full of harmonics, and attention arrestingly powerful. The band is a wonderfully supportive match to her growls and shrieking cries. She and the band accompany and frame each other as a symbiotic unit and are a well oiled machine...a Wall Of Sound that could teach Phil Spector new lessons on the meaning of the term that it's been thought he invented. I confess that The Pretty Reckless is for me a recently discovered and newly acquired guilty pleasure. However, I must also admit that the pleasure does come with some guilt accompanied by some dissatisfaction. Although I appreciate how well they've mastered their personal musical niche, I leave the experience with some aftertaste of the aggravation that comes from tedium. The pervasive theme of rebellion, particularly against religion and the prevailing religion of the west, eventually rings hollow. While in private conversation The Pretty Reckless might reveal some positivity that fuels aspirations that give them reason to wake up each morning (or afternoon), that wall of sound signals little more than a raised fist of opposition. The Pretty Reckless is another example of railing against a church, its theology and its symbols which Momsen and company would have to invent if they weren't already conveniently at hand as grist for shock and awe. While their sound can overwhelm and exhilarate, their trappings and affectations are eventually parodies of themselves that are revealed as contrivances and ultimately silly, undermining the scariness that all the mascara, eye shadow, power chords and theatrical embracing of darkness try so hard to maintain.
One of the things I like the most about The Pretty Reckless is that they write beautiful melodies, which sound absolutely amazing in Taylor Monsem's voice.
Such a great music and lyrics. I never thought that the sound of the " Heart Beat" in the music can blend in very well .. Duh..,.. that feelings .. :D ~~~~~~~
I do art for a living and this song is so inspiring and deep. I actually have done art pieces depicting the vision I get when I hear this song. Amazing song.

You like strings, you say? Check out Master of Puppets by Metallica, I bet you'll like that as well! And if Kermy and Mrs. Piggy ever get married and James Hetfield could be the pastor of muppets! Whoah, talk about pulling strings...
@@kennylauer412 Cheers - You are totally correct - preaching to the converted a brilliant album - got that when it was released ... funny to think it was 7 years before the lovely Taylor was born .....

Absolutely love this song, so much emotion but one of those that can just chill me out and put me in a good mood regardless. Taylor Momsen has an amazing voice, as talented as she is beautiful :)
I just got pretty reckless cd (light me up ) and looked the band up on line today and what a band and a great singer Taylor is,she has an outstanding voice and she reminds me of Amy Lee of evenescece band.i will look out for more CDs of pretty reckless.hope the band are still together and hopefully a UK tour in the future.best wishes to the band.
I showed this song to my teacher and classmate in first period. Our teacher wanted us to do a song project that has to do with our identity, and I picked this song as my first choice. After listening to it with the whole class, I told them why it fits into my identity while telling them what this song is talking about, but I ended up crying in front of everyone since this is the most emotional song I ever listened to. It may be embarrassing for to cry in front of my classmates, but at least it's worth telling them my feelings about this song and how it fits into my identity.
That's actually fucking awesome. It's like a scene out of a movie. Anyone in that room who didn't let themselves get judgmental learned a whole lot about you right there. Keep being you, kid.
I really like this song! At the risk of sounding "emo" (if people are even still using that word) I've always been fascinated by the idea that death is not something to fear and is instead much more peaceful than life. Unless I'm totally missing the point of the song, I definitely get that impression from this song.
Never known a song to provoke so much Passion in the meaning of its lyrics..Taylor and the boys have written some great songs BUT this has to be the most thought provoking of them all.......and i Love It
One he!! of a musician, song writer. This young woman is hurting on the inside and you can see it externally and in her music. Taylor is screaming out for help, doesn't anyone hear her. I do wish her well.
This is one of my favorite songs. My 16 month old digs it too. He will just sit on my knee and watch the video and ignore everything else going on around him.
A beauty, with a beautiful voice, singing a beautiful song...It doesn't get any better than this.
Taylor and her band just Rock.....love this mellow Ballad....they bring it home....xx
Pres. Taylor. Lyden. Has a prob w. Missing kids. Ford. Solved it. We're ford. Prob is lyden went bitch.

Incredible voice, talent. All of them. A friend turned me on to Pretty Reckless a while ago, and I do enjoy their music.
I think this group was underestimated, for me, they make beautiful music, and this magnificent and soulful track is proof of this.

I dont think anyone undestand how sad and heartbreaking this song is! Taylor i love you for making this amazing song! And you are a great singer!
Goddammit! Why does this song make me cry?
NICK nikki Its not weak to cry, stop with the unnecessary hate please.
Because you can feel/understand the music.

This song moves me at a deeply emotional level and I have no idea why...
Somewhere in the end we're all insane,
To think that light ahead can save us from all this pain.
When for all we know that light could be a train that is coming toward us and will eventually hit us
this song will find a place on the small list of truly great songs timeless

I'm not afraid, I won't burn out in this place.
My intention is to fade, and I will, I will...

I wonder if this line is in reference to Kurt Cobain?
Yes you will

Easily the best band to come out in the last 10 years.

I love her songs especially this song cause for some reason this song is kinda calm and it's awesome.
Невероятно притягательная песня! Её можно можно слушать бесконечно. Послушайте еще одно произведение "kill me".
The writer of this song for sure saw for a moment the greatness and the emptiness at the end of every vain effort we ever did.
They write all their own songs but it's not Always about them sotimes it's about their friends or family
This song to me is incredibly profound considering the times. What a beautiful song.
I not listen to her before a lot of what I have listened takes me back to my past
