Animal Crossing - GameCube Moments #20

More of my Animal Crossing highlights (Nintendo GameCube version) showing interesting and funny moments. Baabara gets mad when I mess with her tea, Candi FORCES me to give her a catchphrase, I help out a club club cub (you'll see), Candi BANS me from fishing or going near the river(!!!), I immediately disprove Astrid's tantrum thanks to a very coincidental gift from Tom, Ursala tells me she wants to dress up like a butterfly, a rude returning cat gets an unwelcome welcome, and more.
Most of these clips are from my main town Forest, except for the Marcy clip which is from Aja Blu. Most of these clips are from this year (2024), but the first couple were left over from 2023.

Seeing these videos always makes me remember how charming the gamecube edition is. My gamecube is packed away somewhere -- I should really dig it out and check in on my town. I haven't logged in for years. My god, the town must be DROWNING in weeds by now.

I'll probably just set the calendar to 2003, since the days of the week line up with 2031. Other than the New Year's event (and a bit of Gulliver's dialogue), the year really isn't even mentioned in the game anyway.

Ya know, I was going to write this too like that’s what I wondered but yeah I have heard that the 2003 days match the same as 2031 so it’s not all too bad I guess 😊

Yes, I just recently found out myself. I did it in a previous video with Ankha (an islander), but this clip was me testing it with regular villagers too. The villager has to be fairly close to you for it to work, though (not across the room). They apparently think you're pushing them (or perhaps pushing something into them). So it might just be a glitch, but it's interesting regardless, imo.

I like a lot of villagers based on design, however it is more complicated when it comes to how they behave. A good example of that is Cherry, who I currently have on my second island in New Horizons, I've had her for a month and despite I and her being best friends, she hasn't given me her photo yet, instead she's been bombarding me with athletic jackets, scholar uniforms AND EVEN baby rompers, pacifiers.

I've always wondered why they made the villagers SO rude in this game... Like, I feel like it's a bit much? Idk, just thinking out loud.

I love it I rather them be this rude especially the smug and cranky villagers, In the latest game all the personalities just feel the same and way too nice specifically the smug and cranky ones (I just love all the smug and cranky villagers especially Tom, me-YOWZA)

@discordmod3267 I understand what you're getting at, they do seem way too nice in the newer games, but I was thinking maybe they could do a rudeness level like in between? To me they're just plain mean in the GameCube version lol
