I have been playing acnh for about a year on the switch, and my parents dont like that way I... Gwen-ified the island. On my birthday i wanted a switch lite so i could have my own island not shared with the fam, and today is the second day of owning the switch lite and i have speedrun so much that tomorrow (my third day of playing on my new island) my house will be built and so will the museum!

I have 19 photos in my house from current and past villagers. I'm not rich at all. I never find decent turnip prices and I hate turnip exchange. I've been scammed before. I've invited people over to my haunted island just for me and a group of friends to chase them dressed as axe wielding clown ms.

So a quarter of my island is just.. umm.. there? I guess? I have zero idea what to do with it.
What about "the collector"? Where you want to collect everything for your catalog, even if you don't actually like the thing. You only keep the things that you like, but that's so much stuff it mostly sits in your storage.

Honestly same, except I would be considered the Catalog Nut instead. I have to BUY ALL THE THINGS AT LEAST ONCE, and have half my island covered in dropped items because my storage is full. ~E~v~e~n~t~u~a~l~l~y~ I'll get around to selling off the ones I don't need, and I've already catalog-checked for "unsellable" items (seasonals, event swag, etc)... I blame New Leaf for getting me started on this.
Definitely mostly the Escapist, though I haven't played regularly in over a year. Had some elements of all the rest though. I had themed rooms like an Artist, talked at least _once_ a day with everyone on the island like a Good Neighbor, maintained a full wardrobe like an Aesthetic, and maintained an orchard and meager Stalk Market trade like the Hustler. Favorite villagers included Beau and Audie (yes I had both of them, along with Bob!) and my first neighbors.
I've spent most of my money on clothing and in the end I couldn't upgrade my house so I had to fill the walls with clothes and my back room is covered in clothes on the floor and walls and then I had to sell the ones left over 😔🖐️
I literally buy every single clothing that cathces my eye then i dont even wear it- Instead of paying of my loan i literally just buy clothes- my storage is full of clothes-
The islander: Focus on what the island looks like. Unlike the artist The islander does not do custom designs they at least have two farms on their island and might’ve made an outside restaurant

@@abbyc1939 Well, my island currently looks terrible but I'm nearing the end of the demolition, which is great because the game is basically unplayable right now. I've been stuck at 3 stars since I reached the credits and with so many weeds, sticks, and stairs that lead to nowhere I was afraid to see my island eval. I assumed it had dropped. Ended up checking it out of a sick sense of curiosity. I now have a 4 star island. I'm pretty sure Isabelle has terrible taste when it comes to design. 😅 She said it's great, I just need to decorate.
You forgot the player who goes way overboard with time travelling. Personally, I solve all my problems by changing the date. You get so much more money trees, fruits, and interesting items at nooks and crannys and able sisters. You also get to see Redd a lot more often. I'm currently in October 2023 in my game and I have no regrets.
You should do another one with the Dictator player. Me, being one, can tell you what they are like. They see the other villagers as pawns, likely calling them Peasants. Flag is most likely hammer and sickle. Walls are a necessity. They move the houses of the Peasants onto one mainland, with their own separated by a river. Shops and museum are on the opposite side of the island. They probably have only one favorite villager which they consider their god. That certain villager might have their house next to the Dictator, separated from the Peasants. The Peasants likely don't have any trees on their side of the river. And that's the Dictator. Of course, you probably won't see this comment as it is one of thousands. But if you are reading this, thanks. Edit: Something is happening. I no longer look down upon the villagers. Instead, I see them as friends. I’ve taken down the walls and am even considering moving the shops back. Is this what compassion feels like?
You forgot one: the hoarder. In my house the main room is completely full with items and my storage is full too. I have half of my island where I collect rare fish and just put them there. You can only get around through 1 block wide passages. The villagers complain about it being crowded. Never sells items. I’m the hoarder... but I also really care about my ugly villagers and I dress up crazy... but then I made a satanic circle and put a pig in there. He’s ugly and I call him pork chop cuz he needs to burn.

You forgot the "Obsessed" Who plays daily, goes out of their way to collect all the new fish and bugs each month, trades on nookazon regularly for tickets so that they can go villager hunting, and has over 900+ hours into the game designing their island, trying to get their villager's photos, and has already completed at least 90% of their museum, oh and just seems to know everything down to the last detail... lol

I remember seeing a discord post a while back about how “tips aren’t a suggestion, we are taking time out of our day to open up our island, when we say tips appreciated we expect a tip for our hard work” or something like that. Not to be mean to the guy, but it’s animal crossing. It’s not that hard to click a few buttons to open up your island.
Let’s be real, the only thing working hard is the internet connection. I would always leave a tip. Thank god for the generous souls who didn’t ask for anything. I gave them 100k tip usually.

@@addy225 oof, what helped me is to find alot of DIY recipes and use them for inspiration on what to do with my island, also what i did recently was clear my island out completely and start making stuff in it, like if you have a fence and a slide you can make a little park, or just put some flowers in there, I'm not a pro but I hope this helped :)

I've been playing since wild world and there are a few villagers with designs that I hate and some of them just bore me, even some of the newer villagers have designs I'm not entirely fond of, so I hit them with a net, hoping they'll leave, so I can have cuter or more cool looking villagers.

A random villager will ask to move out every now and then - it doesn't matter whether you talked to them a lot or ignored them, hit them or left them alone. Myself I have hit one smug villager once because he said something kinda mean but I instantly regretted it... they are all just such nice round cuties.

@@abbyc1939 Well, my island currently looks terrible but I'm nearing the end of the demolition, which is great because the game is basically unplayable right now. I've been stuck at 3 stars since I reached the credits and with so many weeds, sticks, and stairs that lead to nowhere I was afraid to see my island eval. I assumed it had dropped. Ended up checking it out of a sick sense of curiosity.
I now have a 4 star island. I'm pretty sure Isabelle has terrible taste when it comes to design. 😅 She said it's great, I just need to decorate.

You forgot the player who goes way overboard with time travelling. Personally, I solve all my problems by changing the date. You get so much more money trees, fruits, and interesting items at nooks and crannys and able sisters. You also get to see Redd a lot more often. I'm currently in October 2023 in my game and I have no regrets.
The only time I time travell is when I'm trying to get redd/wait for something from the nookstop

You should do another one with the Dictator player. Me, being one, can tell you what they are like. They see the other villagers as pawns, likely calling them Peasants. Flag is most likely hammer and sickle. Walls are a necessity. They move the houses of the Peasants onto one mainland, with their own separated by a river. Shops and museum are on the opposite side of the island. They probably have only one favorite villager which they consider their god. That certain villager might have their house next to the Dictator, separated from the Peasants. The Peasants likely don't have any trees on their side of the river. And that's the Dictator. Of course, you probably won't see this comment as it is one of thousands. But if you are reading this, thanks.
Edit: Something is happening. I no longer look down upon the villagers. Instead, I see them as friends. I’ve taken down the walls and am even considering moving the shops back. Is this what compassion feels like?

In my house the main room is completely full with items and my storage is full too. I have half of my island where I collect rare fish and just put them there. You can only get around through 1 block wide passages. The villagers complain about it being crowded. Never sells items.

I remember seeing a discord post a while back about how “tips aren’t a suggestion, we are taking time out of our day to open up our island, when we say tips appreciated we expect a tip for our hard work” or something like that. Not to be mean to the guy, but it’s animal crossing. It’s not that hard to click a few buttons to open up your island.
I always say "tips no necessary but appreciated" and people supprised me with the tips. I see why.
The whole point of a TIP is a little extra as thanks for exceptional service. If someone expects a tip they don't deserve it imo.
If the tip is supposed to be mandatory then just add it to the price of what you're selling lol

fishes way too often. inventory filled with fish and other sea creatures. never has any space in their inventory. usually wears their own designs so they dont have to take up space when switching outfits. spends bells on useless furniture and random clothing, so they dont have much bells to spare unless they're insane. museum filled to the brim with fish and bugs, but barely any fossils or art pieces since those arent relaxing like the other two. house is an absolute mess, storage full 24/7, floor packed with random furniture and other things like wood, sticks, stones, fish, bugs, etc. has an entire room in their house dedicated to clothing, still doesnt have enough space for all of it. cant even get past project k because theres stuff everywhere they dont feel like picking up.

@@addy225 oof, what helped me is to find alot of DIY recipes and use them for inspiration on what to do with my island, also what i did recently was clear my island out completely and start making stuff in it, like if you have a fence and a slide you can make a little park, or just put some flowers in there, I'm not a pro but I hope this helped :)

Yeah I'm totally The Good Neighbor! I'm new to animal crossing so I don't know much about villagers and love them all! Idk why people smack certain villagers with nets though :(
I've been playing since wild world and there are a few villagers with designs that I hate and some of them just bore me, even some of the newer villagers have designs I'm not entirely fond of, so I hit them with a net, hoping they'll leave, so I can have cuter or more cool looking villagers.
@@ReptilianTeaDrinker Actually hitting them with a net doesn't work! A random villager will ask to move out every now and then - it doesn't matter whether you talked to them a lot or ignored them, hit them or left them alone. Myself I have hit one smug villager once because he said something kinda mean but I instantly regretted it... they are all just such nice round cuties.
Whenever I accidentally hit them I feel so bad!
