The affection and admiration of the the host speaker is very nice for those who prior to these videos were not fully aware of their beautiful musical wirk.
The ever-modest producer (that means he came up with the concept of recording Joe with Roy) Ralph Jungheim gets a taste at 0.20. Thanks for bringing these two giants together, Ralph.
Beautiful playing by master musicians. Roy's melody playing, overall approach and sound, reminds me of George Barnes, if you know who he was. Joe is one of my idols . . . RIP.
Again thank you so much. Have & love this CD. To see it live is a wonderment. Saw Roy live one afternoon at the fair. So good I just hung out day long so I could catch his evening show.
I discovered these recordings when I was in music school. A treasure. Perhaps Roy has joined Joe on another plane and they can jam again.
Roy is great, and he's telling it like it is: Joe Pass can do it all. Comping, walking, rhythm. Maestro!
These clips with Roy and Joe playing, including the terrific Ralph Jungheim intervals are notting short of amazing

THIS is the definition of "taste"!

Beautiful
Joe Pass make the whole thing work with his total mastery! (blonde in halter top was Misty Rowe! Hee Hee Hee Haw Haw Haw!)
Pass was a master of syncopathic phrasing.
Pass, un maestro.
SWEET !! : )
You can tell who the comp master is hear at 2:40 not to take anything away from Roy he takes some sweet lines himself.
this is so beayiful. every note sounds like it's supposed to be there and they play it so naturly.
Can this series be found on DVD? I would most glady purchase a copy.
I'm not sure what 'You Win Again' refers to , but I always knew this tune as 'Your Cheating Heart'.
2 different songs :)
Stop talking over the players!
Too much talking we just want to hear the playing
