Thank goodness its not solar. Its power ready for at least 2 years and takes 10 minutes to change a $5 dollar battery for another 2 years of constant power. Solar in a PITA after a couple of months in the drawer. It a gimmick in my opinion.
The CR2025 batteries they run off of can last quite a while without changing. Has anyone figured how long it would last if you used each of the sensors a little every day?
We can't call this an upgrade of the previous model since they omitted solar powered feature. Simply putting in additional gauges will do? How do u fully utilise the many features when it depletes battery power, forcing the customer to change battery prematurely? Seems like it's a dirty strategy to force customers to pay higher prices for premium models to have solar charging feature. Moreover, they would make good money when the watch is returned to their service agent for a battery change. I guess most customers do not know that having a cheap battery replacement by an average watch shop will compromise the watch's water resistance as only the authorised Casio service centre will reseal the case with a sealant after a battery change. Of course they charge a lot more! So, either way, Casio wins! 👎 For a battery operated watch, it is only feasible for a simple model without advanced, additional gauges and features. Otherwise, solar powered feature or electrical charging like the GBD-H1000, is necessary.
I absolutely agree with you. Having quad sensor but no solar is just dumb. Its a g shock I want to use it everyday but having limited battery will make me baby it. Plus I already have a solar square I am not gonna pay more for a downgrade cuz I put solar before any sensor.

I WOULD NOT recommend this watch. My new Casio GRB200-1A "Gravity Master" has a "MAJOR" fault, in that the HANDS (Analog) time does NOT match the DIGITAL time. It's EXACTLY FIVE MINUTES OFF! It's NOT a good thing to have a watch that doesn't keep good time! Maybe a jeweler who knows how to advance the minutes hand by FIVE MINUTES can help. Either that or Casio! I was impressed with the watch until I ran into this issue. And YES, I have set the time manually AND with the Bluetooth app with the same results. Looks good, but I sure wouldn't recommend!
I’m curious as well. Have you calibrated it? I’ve got a pretty decent discount to land one with my Amex Platinum card right now. I’m debating. Your comment has me worried
@@muzza9338 Changing batteries is annoying and inconvenient. Casio and other brands like Seiko and Citizen have made battery changes obsolete through solar charging.
