    Behringer actually sells their pedals as compatible with both guitar and bass and this thing is an AMAZING bass pedal.

    That is some beastly tone! I own the Behringer OD300. I was skeptical of their pedals at first because of the plastic bodies. They're now one of my favorite brands.

    • @agufish
      @agufish  8 лет назад +5

      Yeah it'd probably increase the cost by a few bucks, but if they offered them in casings that looked less like children's toys they'd probably have a lot more credibility. Great tone for the price though.

    Having seen this video I think I am going to get one of these as a (cheap) temporary option while I can't afford a TS9. 😅 I don't really get why so many guitarists hate this brand or why some pro guitarists want to bash beginner guitarists. This pedal seems really nice for its price

    I have long ago moved all my Behringer pedals to the spares case.Except this one,it stays on the board.Update,Ijust got an Ibanez TS mini.It's a shade darker than the TO800 but otherwise pretty much the same.I;m keeping them both on the board,I just dig that Behringer pedal.Nice chops by the way.Total control,very nice indeed.

    I replaced an Ibanez Tube Screamer and some other pedals, that were stolen from my van a few years back, with Behringer pedals. They sound good and are a fraction of the cost. They're heavy plastic, not metal, but I'm not hard on my stuff.

    I bought it yesterday. It's not enough for metal, it boosts a bit. But is good for blues, crunch, hard rock. In fact I prefer Fulltone OCD but it's expensive.

    • @SaintKines
      @SaintKines 5 лет назад +2

      Most guys dont use it for the distortion at all. You probably already know this but most dudes are purely using it to boost their clean signal to tighten up the bottom end on their high gain amps. Its especially useful if you're down in drop c or lower. Gets rid of the flub. I love mine. I go from my guitar to the tuner, into the vintage OD to my 6505 Peavey and it sounds great.

    I just got this pedal and it's perfect for switching between clean and heavy tones. I normally play classic rock like the Beatles, Rush, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, and it works perfect for playing a show because you don't have to change amp settings to switch between fairly clean and heavy. Especially changing tones in songs like Fly by Night or Stairway to Heaven. I have two Behringer pedals, the TO800 and the EQ700 and I must say I am impressed.

    Hello, I have seen your demos on Yoyo, Nux and Behringer vintage overdrives and wanted to ask which you think is best to push the overdrive channel of my G5 Buguera to reach metal sounds. Thank you for your videos, are good.

    • @agufish
      @agufish  8 лет назад +1

      Never played through a Bugera G5, but if I recall the G20 is pretty gainy already, but it's a bit dark? The NUX OD-3 is probably the brightest of the bunch, but sound-wise I'd pick The Joyo. It's also the gainiest of the three.

    • @elmecanismodelbotijo
      @elmecanismodelbotijo 8 лет назад

      Buy the G5 to follow keeping good relationship with them neighbouring of the building and for that is very good, but there is that push it slightly to get where I want to. I have head buy a JC22H, but while I think me and do I buy Yo-Yo since we have come to the same conclusion with the pedals. I have seen you make a demos Jet City 22 custom, it is not a lot of power for home?, that if sounds great. Thank

    • @MB-yw3pv
      @MB-yw3pv 7 лет назад

      THE G5 IS A BLACKSTAR HT5 CLONE SO IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WANT FROM THE OD PEDAL, SOME PEOPLE JUST WANT A LITTLE EXTRA FOR MORE CHUNKY PALM MUTING STUFF AND TO GIVE LEAD STUFF A LITTLE MORE SUSTAIN THEN USE IT LIKE A CLEAN OR LEVEL BOOST WITH THE GAIN ON 0-5% AND THE VOLUME ON MAX AND TONE IN THE MIDDLE AND THE BEHRINGER IS GOOD FOR THAT, BUT IF YOU LIKE TO GET LIKE 70-80% OF YOUR TONE FROM THE AMP AND THE REST FROM A PEDAL THEN GO WITH SOMETHING WITH A LITTLE MORE GAIN, ANOTHER GOOD OVERDRIVE IS THE BBE GREEN SCREAMER BUT HONESTLY ONE OF THE BEST OD'S IN MY OPINION FOR BLACKSTAR AMPS(OR CLONES) IS THE BBE G SCREAMER, ITS GUS G'S SIGNATURE VERSION OF THE GREEN SCREAMER(TUBE SCREAMER CLONE), YOU CAN USUALLY GET THEM FOR $40-$50, I HAVE THE HT5 METAL MINI STACK AND I USED A G SCREAMER AT FIRST UNTILL I GOT THE KHDK GOUL SCREAMER WHICH IS THE BEST OD ON THE MARKET WITH ITS 5 MINI SWITCHES, IT CAN ADAPT TO ANY AND EVERY AMP OUT THERE, GIVE THE G SCREAMER A LOOK AND THE BEHRINGER, HAVEN'T PLAYED THE OTHER ONES

    This is one of the worlds best kept secrets. LOL. I have a TO800 as well and it sounds exactly like the old first run TS808s The only difference is the TO800 has a slight bit more gain.
    Unless you are a purest or collector then there is no reason to spend all the money on a TS808 when this one performs just as good at about $30.00 as of today's pricing.

    this video is bullshit. the pedal doesn't sound half that beastly. there must be like 7 layers of guitars stacked on top of each other and something tells me only 1 of them is the to800. it's fine for old school rock, but something this metal is not achievable with that pedal - especially not on stage.

    • @agufish
      @agufish  8 лет назад +58

      Yeah let me just put a ton of effort into writing demo riffs, filming, and editing a video that completely misrepresents the pedal because that would somehow benefit me and my viewers. It's not as if I put text in the top right telling you when the pedal is bypassed so you have an idea of what the tone in the mix is without the pedal, or put the full signal chain in the description that clearly says the Dual Recto is on the red channel, or even played an isolated guitar track through the looper on both the clean and distorted channels so you can hear the pedal's effect in both scenarios.
      I honestly don't know whether to be amazed that you're so oblivious or complimented that you think there are 8 guitar tracks on the demo mix, when it's just two panned hard left and hard right.

    • @almondlowe2838
      @almondlowe2838 8 лет назад +23

      stevil - im not sure you understand what the to800 is used for. yes, the gain cant go this high - but that's the point. it's used as a boost for an already distorted amp.

      And if you play metal, you use an overdrive pedal to tighten up the sound and boost it a little bit. That's probably how most people use these.
