    Yup. I have the same mod. I actually ordered my from HKB Electronics. I did not think to check ebay, it would have saved me some $. I decided to save weight on the front corner and went with the Group 24 AGM and the 2nd group 35 battery on the rear corner. I also did end up slightly re-enforcing that back corner so we will see how she holds up over time. I will also be interested to see how that front corner holds up to the weight of the AGM 27 in your rig, keep us posted. I have had mine running now for about a year and I can say its worked great and kept my AGM topped off (no more trickle charge maintenance). It was also a much cheaper alternative to use this rather than setting up a relay and isolator to route from my second battery back to the primary to charge from solar.

    I've seen this for awhile, my battery in my truck was approaching 3 years old. Did not want to fool with it going bad on me. I decided to upgrade to a agm. I got the x2power also. I had to have my batteries plus order it for me. I got the 27f. Since of these being so expensive, they do not have these on hand 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Since you got the ebay voltage booster, I picked up one to. I almost went with a group 31. But they told me.that we can't warranty it since it's not the proper battery for this truck. And the 4 year warranty plus another $100 is what made me decide to be patient and wait for a 27f. I can't wait to get it in my truck with the booster. Agms are far superior over your standard flooded.

      I think the problem with low charge would only come on slow over several months,maybe can be prevented with a short use of a trickle charger once a month or so (but trickle charger must be able to get it up to about 14.7 or 14.8(?)volts for at least a half hour or so? (But no higher or overcharging/loss of gassing might occur and shorten battery life)

  • @alexs825
    @alexs825 2 года назад +1

    As an electrical engineer, increasing voltage even 0.4V will increase the aging rate of electronics. Probably ok but youre asking for problems you don’t know what’s connected to that voltage and what it’s ratings are

    • @alexs825
      @alexs825 2 года назад

      Well saw youre saying it won’t work in 3rd gens because they regulate voltages. Yes this makes sense you’d possibly be out of the input voltage range or reduce efficiency at best. Still increases aging of all electronics. If you do this better find the wiring diagrams and all the part datasheets to check compliance
